Description
We’re a friendly Peruvian family living in a traditional adobe house surrounded by nature in Carhuaz. Our home is nestled in the heart of the Cordillera Blanca, right in the center of Huascarán National Park—a peaceful and strategic spot for exploring turquoise lakes, snow-capped mountains, and stunning hiking trails.
We want help in permaculture, in our corn farm and home.
We live 400 meters from the main road very convenient for you to move around.
We are open to all ideas ,would love to have more new or creative ideas of how to take the most of this app. We want you to enjoy the fullest with us.
We are both a hostel and a Workaway-style experience. We have some rooms for our guests and others for volunteers
Workawayers will help us, depending on the season, in sowing, watering or harvesting our corns fields, this, more than hard work it is having a experience to stay with a peruvian andean family and try delicious food!
Help in the tasks at our land or home is only 10 hours a week.
We are flexible when its about trekking and climbing, when you want to make a full day hike or multi day hikes, just lets us know, and you can take free days!
OPTIONAL:We ask for a weekly tiny contribution to help us paying internet, electricity (Which is expensive due to the use of our electrical machines, laundry machine and hot water). and food, of course this contribution towards electricity is completely voluntary and not a requirement for staying.
*FOOD: Workawayers need to get their own food and use our kitchen for free! Normally, we organize all together what to eat everyday
The vibe here is peaceful and authentic—less hustle than Huaraz, and milder temperatures.
We grow our corns and raise guinea pigs, and we love sharing our Andean lifestyle with travelers.
Here you will experience a warm stay with a Peruvian Andean family and meeting other volunteers and travelers, opportunities to learn about farming, permaculture, and local culture, delicious homemade food and a chance to connect with nature and community

I loved my stay at Dionny's so much that I stayed an extra week. She is such a kind and fun woman. I loved the farmwork and family meals. The area is so gorgeous and there's so much to do. It's definitely a great place to enjoy a gentle routine and lots of free time.
