Hi, my name is Maya :) I am from Quebec, Canada.

I recently completed an undergraduate degree in environmental sciences with a minor in Hispanic studies. Since the beginning of the month, I have been traveling in Panama and Peru. It has been a very enriching experience meeting people and learning about each country's unique ecological, cultural, and socio-political contexts. I enjoy conversing with people and understanding different perspectives. I am eager for the many encounters that have yet to unfold!

Over the summer, I worked on an organic vegetable farm in Quebec, where I learned how to sow, plant, care for, and harvest various crops. I would love work in the field of agriculture in the future.

I enjoy hiking, swimming, cooking, crocheting, painting, watching movies, reading, and so much more. I'm always looking to learn new skills and hobbies. I'd love to learn more about gardening, farming, permaculture, sustainable lifestyles, and I'd be glad to help you with any projects or activities.

I have experience in agriculture, and would be happy to help out on a farm!

I enjoy cooking, baking, and spending time in the kitchen with others or alone. I've worked at two sushis places for a little while, and would love to show anyone who is interested in learning. I find lots of meaning in sharing meals with people. I'm eager to learn about different cuisines and exchange recipes.

I also have experience in biology and field-work, and would love to help out and learn more about gardening or farm work projects.

I speak English and French fluently. I'm more than willing to help you practice either of those languages. I also know Spanish (working proficiency), and would be very interested in language exchanges.

I also love arts & crafts. Painting, drawing, crocheting, collage--anything really!
