I had a wonderful 3 weeks at Karla's farm. The community is awesome ! I will definitely recommend it if you are looking for a peaceful place in the woods. I would definitely come back !

Matteo was a lovely guest, mannerly, easy going and very obliging to help out with everything. Good knowledge of power tools and DIY skills. He also joined us for daily swims in the river or sea 😁 We would highly recommend him and would welcome him back.

I stayed with my young dog Sorca at Siv &Rick's farm for about five weeks, and it was amazing. The tasks were fun and I was able to learn many new things about farm life, from beekeeping and shearing sheep to driving a tractor to turn the hay. All their animals are lovely and Sorca fit right in with the other dogs (although she can be a little bit of a bully and an idiot at times ^^). Siv and Rick are really nice people too, just after a short time it felt like I really was a part of the farm. Even now that, at least my first stay with them, is over we are still in contact and they help me with logistics and watching for Sorca for a week when I need to go back home. It was throughout a really nice experience and i can only recommend staying a few weeks.

It was great to host Jack. He is a strong, healthy and respectful young man who gets along with different things and he is willing to learn . It was a great exchange and we wish all the best for Jack. May our road will cross again. Anyway you are always welcome in our paradise. Markus and Katia

Mitchell and Anne-Wil are one of the most lovable persons we have met. They are very inspiring people with big hearts and care for other humans, animals, the nature and environment around them. They helped us so much at our farm and we are forever thankful. We found friends for life. We give them the highest recommendations. If you got the chance to meet them you are lucky. They make this world a little bit better place. :)

Spending two weeks with Younes was a truly enriching experience, and I only wish I could have stayed longer. Younes is a fantastic host: calm, kind, welcoming, patient, and incredibly respectful of everyone's time, space, and personal rhythm. Thanks to his attitude, he creates a relaxed and international atmosphere where genuine human, cultural, and educational exchange happens naturally. He is always happy to share his knowledge about vermicomposting, composting, sustainable agriculture, animal care, and many other topics. He explains everything with patience and enthusiasm, making it easy to ask questions and get involved. The work itself follows a very human pace. There is no pressure or constant attention to the clock; the activities are organized according to the weather, the temperatures, and everyone's energy levels. Meal preparation is equally natural and collaborative. When it's time to eat, everyone joins in to cook, share ideas, and exchange recipes. It feels very spontaneous and creates another opportunity to connect with the other volunteers. All the food is provided, as well as household essentials. If you need something, he does his best to provide it, making everyone feel comfortable and well looked after throughout their stay. Younes genuinely cares about everyone's well-being. He listens to different needs, welcomes new ideas, and encourages volunteers to take initiative and contribute their own projects and suggestions. Another aspect I really appreciated was his effort to introduce volunteers to local Moroccan life. He organized small outings, visits to neighbors, trips to the beach, and opportunities to experience the local community beyond the farm. This is the perfect place if you love being surrounded by unspoiled nature and don't mind being away from the city, shops, and the fast pace of everyday life. Here, life follows the rhythm of the countryside, where peace, simplicity, and connection with nature take priority. It is an opportunity to slow down, disconnect from distractions, and reconnect with yourself, the land, and the people around you. Thank you, Younes, for your generosity, your patience, and for creating such a special place. I leave with wonderful memories, new knowledge, and the hope of coming back one day.

Mizuho was a wonderful volunteer to have. She was very polite, respectful, and brought interesting perspectives to our conversations. She approached her work with real conscientiousness and completed every task to my full satisfaction. I would absolutely welcome her back anytime. Highly recommended!

Nicole, Fred und ihre beiden Kinder waren tolle Gastgeber! Ich habe mich direkt wie zu Hause gefühlt und wurde herzlich aufgenommen. Ich habe ganz unterschiedliche Aufgaben übernommen, wie zum Beispiel mit ihren Kindern zu spielen, Matheunterricht zu geben oder zu kochen. Die gemeinsame Essensvorbereitung und das gemeinsame Essen im Anschluss habe ich sehr genossen. Auch wenn man nicht selber kocht wird man bestens versorgt. Es wird immer frisch gekocht und es war jedes Mal super lecker! Ich hatte auf jeden Fall auch genug Freizeit, die ich im Garten, im Pool oder sogar auf meiner eigenen kleinen Terrasse verbringen konnte. Das “langsame Leben” habe ich sehr genossen und bin schließlich super entspannt abgereist. Vielen Dank für diese tolle Erfahrung, ich kann’s auf jeden Fall empfehlen!!

I had the most perfect experience with Lio and Sanne, in their lovely home on the country side. Although me and my friend were a little nervous and unsure in the beginning, they made sure we felt welcomed. They have a lovely garden were we got to do a bit gardening work on, which were fun and a good learning experience. Lio was great at explaining and made sure we had everything we needed. It was also very nice just spending time with the family, playing with the kids and eating dinner together. We went to a buddhistic temple closed by, a very nice day with Lio and the kids. They really made us feel at home and the work was mostly all fun! Overall, both my friend and I had a lovely stay here, we learned so much and had so much fun!

Char and Andy were amazing, they fitted in just perfectly with our home and all that was happening at the time of them being here. They were both quiet (when required), respectful, honest, hard working, loving, caring people. They always asked to help, asked for explanations and clarifications, and were happy to get on with the jobs at hand. The were clean and tidy, followed house rules, and were a pleasure to share our home with. I wish them both all the best in the future, their next adventures, and hopefully we will meet them again one day. All the best and take care, you are both wonderful beautiful people. Velijko is a very easy person to be around, are communication was very clear and honest. He was a motivated worker and even encourage me to get up at 6h30 so we could work in the cool hours of the morning. As we had a heatwave while we where here he spent some of his free time in the house. But this wasn't a problem as he was doing his own thing and very quiet. I love how interested in culture he is, he asked a lot of questions every day and didn't seem bother when i said I don't know. Veliko was very independent and organised himself to visit lots of caves and go hiking. He was always relaxed , enthausiastic and very capable. He would be welcome back to stay here anytime.

It was my first time doing Workaway and what can I say: I couldn't have landed in a better spot. 🥰 I loved everything! Gozem is very nice and always takes care that her guests have the best experience. Her dogs are the cutest and very well behaved. It really didn't feel like work to take care of them. It was a real pleasure to walk with them in the beautiful neighborhood of Lisbon, feed them, play with them and once I also gave them a bath which was such a nice experience 😃 I also had enough time to go out and see places like the beach or take a nice stroll through town and be back after 4 hours to take care of the dogs. The house is very beautiful and clean also and she even left food for me when I was there. I will definitely be back because I came as a workawayer, but I left as a friend! 💓 Thank you so much Gozem, Juju, Pixie and Tea - love you guys! 😘

My stay at your beautiful house with its spacious garden was truly unforgettable. It was highly rejuvenating and allowed my body to completely relax. You were wonderful at explaining everything I wanted to know regarding your culture and herbal lifestyle.Since I came back home, my lifestyle has changed. First of all, I now eat breakfast with salad and fruits.I realized that the most important things in my life are clean air, fresh food, and especially, spending daily life with a very kind person like you.Thank you so much for everything.

Laura stayed with us in Lisbon for 16 days, helping take care of my dogs, and it was truly a wonderful experience. She is responsible, reliable, and genuinely caring. From the very beginning, she treated my dogs with love, patience, and affection, making them feel safe, happy, and loved. She always completed her tasks without needing reminders, showed great initiative whenever something needed to be done, and approached every responsibility with care and dedication. Laura is also full of positive energy and brings joy wherever she goes. Her cheerful personality filled our home with warmth, laughter, and happiness, and it was an absolute pleasure having her with us. We can wholeheartedly recommend Laura to any future host. She is trustworthy, hardworking, kind, and a delight to have in your home. Thank you, Laura, for making these two weeks so special. We truly hope you will always remain a part of our lives. You will always have a place in our hearts, and our door will always be open for you. We already miss you and sincerely hope our paths will cross again someday. We wish you all the happiness and success wherever life takes you.

It was my first volunteering experience, and I must say it was one of the best. The place is so peaceful and quiet, surrounded by beautiful nature. Angela taught me so many new things and made the experience truly unforgettable. She is an inspiring and fascinating person. I hope I can come back one day!

I had so much fun in Apolda. Fynn, Julianne and Maik are so genuine; they made me feel so welcome and I felt at home instantly. I also learned so much from them and I am so grateful for that. Missing them already :)

Felix is a super guy to have staying. He coplete task perfectly, and allso see what needs to be done. He is handy and have great ideas how to fix things. If he starts a project he fisnish it with percetion and a good dash of creativity, with I prediculary love. He's dog is no stress to have, and hæwhere he is, she is. Both are welcome back any time.. Wish him all the best of luck, and some great adventures.. A 5 ☆ workawayer.

Roland is a nice and friendy person. Super helpfull and helpe us organize in the barn like it never have been organized before. Asked if he was unshure, and started up on his own without having to be told, witch is really good help here.. Thanks so mutch for the visit, and wish you all the best🙂 Best regards

Eddie was excellent company, a hard and willing worker and a pleasure to host. He was always up for a challenge or learning new things, and loved discovering the kiwi way of life. We had many interesting conversations and fun times together. Highly recommended....
