Durante casi un mes en el albergue, estuve con los voluntarios, los jefes y los clientes. una verdadera felicidad. Una vista y un ambiente paradisíaco en "Sud Este". El albergue está a 20 metros del mar, ya pocos minutos a pie o en bicicleta del centro de la ciudad. También hay lugares de surf no muy lejos. En resumen, lo recomiendo. Gracias Germán, Jorge y Agu!!

Ed and Lea were fantstic volunteers and a delight to have around the house. Nothing seems to phase Ed with a DIY and building knowledge that is seemingly never ending. He turned his hand to a variety of bigger projects and quicker fixes whilst he was here and it hugely helpful to have someone so reliable to call upon when things weren't working. Lea threw herself into everything that was asked of her, and helped us make some much needed progress in the garden. Her cooking was also top notch, and she scouted out a few local hikes I had yet to discover which I'm looking forward to trying! I would definitely recommend both workawayers to any hosts and I wish them the best of luck with their travels!

I spent the entire month of April with Michael in Kokkari, Samos, and it was truly a wonderful experience. I shared the tasks with my roommate, which was really nice, and our responsibilities included preparing breakfast and dinner, walking and feeding the dogs, as well as feeding the chickens and geese – all very relaxed and enjoyable duties. During my free time, I was able to explore Kokkari and the island and spend time at the beach. Honestly, the whole month felt more like a vacation than work – it was amazing. Michael is an incredibly kind person, and his friend, who was also staying there for a while, was just as lovely. The three dogs are such sweet souls – I grew very fond of them over the four weeks and will definitely miss them. I truly enjoyed my stay and would do it again in a heartbeat!

My week with Philippe and Kathleen was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived they made me feel completely at home: welcoming, thoughtful and full of kindness. The work was enjoyable and well-balanced, with a mix of DIY projects, gardening and cooking that never felt too demanding. One of the highlights was helping to move four beehives on the property, an incredible, hands-on introduction to beekeeping that included tasting plenty of fresh honey! I also learnt so much about meditation, breadmaking and simply reconnecting with nature in a peaceful, magical setting. The castle is incredible, full of history and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. I feel so grateful for this special time and sincerely hope to return. If you're considering this Workaway, I couldn’t recommend it more. Thank you for everything!

What an absolutely magical experience! We came here with the idea to stay for just 2 weeks… and 6 months later, we’re still here. That alone probably says it all. This place has truly become home for us — one of the most special, heart-opening, and beautiful places we’ve ever known. The land itself is incredible. So much space, so much nature, so much peace. Every day feels like a gift here. There’s a wonderful community of beautiful souls — people from all over the world, sharing meals, stories, and laughter. We’ve made deep, real connections that we’ll carry in our hearts forever. Yoga every morning sets the perfect tone for the day, and so many special moments followed: dancing under the stars, long talks by the fire, communal dinners, building projects, and spontaneous adventures. And little Enki — the cutest little human on this planet — made our days even brighter with his joyful, wild spirit. A very special thank you to Michi and Karen for creating and holding this space with so much love, vision, and kindness. You’ve built something truly precious here. We can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for connection, freedom, nature, and a sense of community, this is your place. Ten stars from us — and infinite gratitude. 🌻✨

We stayed with Brandee for almost one week and she made us feel welcome from the beginning. Luisa had to take an English test in Ford Lauderdale and Brandee was very supportive and drove us to the test center. We were so grateful! She took us to nice places like her favourite ice cream shop and we went grocery shopping and shared some meals. Brandee had some small tasks for us to do that were very quick and easy, so we had plenty of time to relax by the pool. We were very inspired by Brandee's butterfly garden and also her interest in birds. We will try to create a garden at home as well. :)

Der Ort ist nicht nur wunderschön, sondern auch die Familie ist sehr freundlich und herzlich. Ich denke, sie sind genau die richtigen Menschen für so etwas. Es hat mir große Freude gemacht, ihren Lebensstil mitzuerleben – Holz hacken, Essen zubereiten und bei einigen Feldarbeiten helfen. Man hat auch genügend Freiraum, um seine eigene Zeit zu gestalten. Die Kinder sind wunderbar – ich kann einen Besuch bei ihnen nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Barbara è stata come una madre per me, quelli che dà consigli e richiama l'attenzione in modo positivo, sono rimasta quasi 1 mese e ho imparato molto in cucina, con le ricette e la cura del giardino e polli, lei ama la natura, le sue piante e i suoi animali, ha molta energia e gioia, spero di incontrarla ancora.

Lovely couple who made me feel at home right away! I had the best of time working in the garden and learning many things about plants and preserving food! Thank you Nicole and Keith for having me in your haven of peace !

I'll always be grateful for those awesome 2 months I spend in the Otways with Jonah, Kayla and Ace! Such a welcoming family, nice neighbours and friends, I met so many people, lived so many adventures, I can only recommend to go enjoy life with this awesome family! I'll be back for sure!

What a great experience we have had with Johannes! A verry ease going person,open and sensible to our family way of living, hardworking and verry polite. We definitely welcome him again and highly recommend him! Johannes we are going to miss you!

Constanza was such a bright and cheerful presence in our home! Her warm smile and friendly personality made it really easy to feel comfortable around her. She was full of curiosity—not just about daily life in Japan, but also about history, politics, nature, and all kinds of thoughtful, academic topics. And yes, she was even curious about wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets)! She has a clear sense of what she values and what matters to her, which was really nice to see. She did every task—whether it was cleaning, helping around the house, gardening, or other chores—with care and honesty. Everything she worked on was neat and thoughtful. She also got along really well with other guests, communicating naturally and helping create a good atmosphere. We felt totally comfortable leaving things in her hands—she’s someone you can really trust. Now that she’s gone, we really miss her smile and her cheerful energy around the house. We’d happily welcome Constanza back anytime, and we definitely recommend her to other hosts!

This was my first Workaway, and Veronica and Michael and their lovely animals Ryder, Charly and Bear made it a truly memorable experience. I will miss the evenings together, the garden work, and the stories during coffee breaks. From the very beginning, I was warmly welcomed into the family and felt completely at home. On the very first day, I was even provided with my own mountain bike, which gave me flexibility throughout my entire stay. Unfortunately, the time was far too short for all the beautiful projects in the house and garden, and for fully exploring the breathtaking landscape around Interlaken. Saying goodbye was truly difficult, and I only decided against a longer stay because of commitments back home. Due to the many weather changes in April, we experienced everything from T-shirt weather to snow and rainy days. We mainly focused then on preparing the raised beds in the garden, although we weren’t able to fully complete them. The work then shifted indoors. I really enjoyed every task—nothing ever felt forced. Besides the work, I got to spend a lot of time with their animals, who truly sweetened the whole Workaway experience. Communication was always respectful, and the working hours were very fair. Due to the changing weather, we adapted my days off so that I could take advantage of the sunny days for trips and hikes. I'm very grateful for that flexibility, which allowed me to explore Switzerland from its most beautiful side. Veronica and Michael’s many insider tips led me to stunning, lesser-known places far from the usual tourist spots. I was also included in their life in Bönigen and even invited to a neighborhood brunch. Thank you for everything—hope to see you again soon!

Sterre came to stay with us just before Christmas and spent that special time with our family. We couldn't have had a more perfect guest for the festive season and at a time there were some difficult changes in our circumstances. It was a wonderful gift for us to have her in our presence - she is lovely, attentive, thoughtful, highly attuned and also very capable. With Sterre's enthusiasm and help, we managed to get to the beach on Christmas Day and have a fabulously peaceful and delicious picnic in the evening. It was a very special Christmas which will be remembered with great affection. My 10yo daughter thoroughly enjoyed playing imaginative games with Sterre, going on fun outings to cool Melbourne destinations together and just being in her company at home doing simple things like watching movies, making food to share and walking our dog. We were most grateful that we could go away for a few days away from Melbourne and leave our home and cherished pet in Sterre's care for this period. We knew all was in excellent hands and everything was A1 on our return. We will definately keep in touch and highly recommend Sterre to future hosts - please come and visit again soon Sterre! My stay with Marga, Manuel, and Pablo was a beyond my expectations. We "met" multiple times via video so that I could get to know them and, upon my arrival, they immediately treated me as family. Marga had asked me if there were things I wanted to see or do in the area and the first few days were a whirlwind of amazing cultural experiences. Because we had four days together before I stayed solo with Pablo, I had time to understand their routines and build a relationship with Pablo. Marga and Manuel (who speaks better English than he believes!) were open to discussing the best ways for me to interact with Pablo when I made suggestions. I had the honor of meeting their family and friends and I was included in every aspect of their life, which was so much fun. Their home is lovely and my room and private bathroom were very comfortable and clean and Marga and Manuel's generosity was beyond measure. For those interested in spending time with these amazing people, please note that Pablo is a very rambunctious and VERY intelligent 4 year old. Keeping up with him can be quite a task so patience, understanding, and a steady calm nature is important.

It was refreshing to have Matthew around. He taught me about basketball, music, geology, Scottishness. He is easy to talk to and get along with. We discussed movies and cinematography, he is bright, and has interesting things to say, doesn't mind a debate and is philosophical. Matthew did well to learn fast with the tasks that we did together, mainly involving landscaping , digging, moving wheelbarrows of turf and stones.... heavy stuff around , stacking logs and splitting logs. Matthew liked to be outside and was fine with getting dirty and didn't seem to mind inclement or cold weather! Matthew found his favourite task and greatest skill in splitting logs, which made me very happy because he was just so much better and faster at it than me and achieved a lot in a short space of time without tiring ! Now I have almost all my wood split and stacked ready for next winter :-) And my vegetable beds are dug and weeded and ready for vegetable planting , yeyyyyy. Matthew is sensitive to animals .... he made friends with my dog who missed him if Matthew ever went out of sight. Matthew loves cats and they love him and he made special friends with the cats here who live in the barn, and he named them :-), and it was nice to have him involved and guide me when we had to look after one of them after a surgical procedure. Matthew and I went on hikes and out on the stand up paddle boards, which he embraced and he was fun, and I enjoyed his easy company. Matthew is also into film photography and I am really looking forward to seeing his photos from his time here!

It was an incredible time with Riccardo. He sees work and is very dedicated with helping and supporting! We were sad when he left and he is always welcome back!

We feel incredibly fortunate to have had Carolina join our team. She is not only kind and thoughtful but also consistently goes the extra mile in everything she does. Hardworking and self-sufficient, Carolina brought a positive energy to our group and was an absolute pleasure to be around. We wholeheartedly recommend her, anyone would be lucky to have her as part of their team. We would welcome her back anytime. Thank you so much for all your help :)
