Description
Hi! My name is Rebecca Wheeler. I graduated from college last May with my bachelor's degree in Psychology, and I will be starting a School Psychology Graduate program in summer of 2026. I spent three of my college years working at an on-campus daycare, and this is where I discovered that I wanted a career working with children, as I am very interested and fascinated by child development, as well as promoting a positive learning environment. I believe that teamwork is very important, and I enjoy working with others to support and encourage communities. I am excited to start my Graduate program and begin my refined path towards a very rewarding career as a School Psychologist, but I also feel that traveling is very beneficial, and I thought this was the perfect time in my life for me to do this.
Hello! My name is Luke Truesdale and I also graduated last May with bachelor's degrees in Finance, Business Analytics and Information Systems, and Risk Management and Insurance. I enjoy contributing to projects where I can see the results of my work—whether it’s helping build something, improving a space, or supporting a community. Being part of something useful and meaningful brings me a lot of happiness.
We took a gap year dedicated to travel to experience the wonderful world we live on and learn new cultures because we believe it makes everyone a more well-rounded person. We decided we wanted to finish our gap year by volunteering while gaining cultural experience and knowledge. We are interested in immersing ourselves into the ways of living of the locals in new countries, and we feel the best way to do this is by giving back to the communities in which we have the opportunity to visit and explore.
We are both very open-minded and willing to give our all for varying activities, as we are dedicated to the responsibilities given to us. We are very excited for this new and unique opportunity that we will take with us and share throughout our lives, and to make a difference in others lives and well-being!

More details about your skills
Rebecca:
Along with working at a daycare for three years, I was a gymnastics coach and a teacher assistant for young children, all of which demonstrates leadership, patience, and effective guidance. I also spent a semester working with children with special needs, which allowed me to practice my flexibility. I also enjoy creative activities such as painting and building or putting things together, and I find beauty in planting and gardening. I have also spent time volunteering at the animal shelter near my home town where I walked and played with the dogs. I am respectful, responsible, and open to trying new things and working hard towards new opportunities.
Luke:
I have experience landscaping on golf courses as well as doing various outdoor projects around my neighborhood throughout my life. I am comfortable with physical work, maintaining outdoor spaces, basic repairs, and helping with tasks that require reliability and attention to detail. I’ve also spent several years volunteering as a soccer coach in my local community, so I enjoy working with kids and supporting team activities.
Together, we’re motivated, respectful, eager to learn, and happy to help with anything from childcare and teaching to outdoor work, gardening, and general projects. We enjoy contributing to meaningful work and being part of a community wherever we go.We are open-minded and can take on a challenge!
