When I picked up Yamilah from the train station she was sick and although she was sick, she immediately wanted to work. She helped Bastiaan, another WA'er with point a big natural stone wall in my kitchen and she did an excellent job. Next day she was sick for real though and she felt really bad about it and I needed to keep telling her that it was alright and she could take all the time she needed to get better. Once she did, she did a deep clean of the house. Finally, she had to leave a little bit earlier because of a personal emergency, but I'd welcome her back anytime.

Leah was simply amazing. An extremely hardworking, reliable, and motivated Workawayer who helped us build a stone wall with care and commitment. Everything flowed effortlessly and with a lot of positive energy. We loved having her here and would welcome her back any time again without hesitation.

It was great fun to have Mathilde around. She was a hard worker, a curious person and very easy to talk to. She did an excellent job with pointing a natural stone wall and cleaned up leaves in the garden. She was good with the kids and helped with cooking dinner once in a while. We also went running together, which was a lot of fun. I can recommend her to everybody.

I had a nice time at the farm overall. I spent almost two weeks here. I most enjoyed talking with Brandi and learning about her upbringing, hearing her travel stories and how her and her husband got the farm. It overall quite quiet there in the area and in the house especially at night, which I liked. I for the most the help they wanted was moving and restacking firewood, There was lots to do, at least 15 cords. I also helped about a bit with the animals as well with random tasks around the property. I learned some things about Quebec while I was there which was nice since I really never had been. One thing which I was a little disappointed in was that I thought we would make some cheese or do something with the milk they have from the cow, as this is something I don't have a lot of experience doing . They are both nice people with a nice family.

It was a real pleasure to host Carla and Jördis! Despite their young age, they worked with incredible dedication, strength, and teamwork while helping us to build a stone wall. They supported each other, stayed motivated and approached every task with enthusiasm and responsibility. We enjoyed their company very much and and would welcome them anytime again!

Nick and Jose are simply delightful. There are no words I can think of to clearly express how good hosts they are. Among the best people I've known! Nick y José son simplemente encantadores. No hay palabras en las que pueda pensar para expresar claramente la calidad de anfitriones que son. Ambos están entre las mejores personas que he conocido!

I spent five fantastic weeks with Johanna and Richard! Two weeks on my own and three weeks with my boyfriend who joined me. They were easy to contact and gave us great advice on driving through the snow to their place. The main task was helping them renovate a bathroom in their chalet. They showed us how to use many tools and were very attentive in explaining each step of the construction. We learned a lot from them. Even in the kitchen, Richard showed us how to make bread, mayonnaise, etc., and Johanna and I baked Christmas cookies. We learned many recipes from them. They also introduced us to Norwegian culture. The work schedule is quite flexible; you can have a full day of work, a more relaxed morning, and time off together. We went skiing several times, hiking, took a boat trip, went to the pool/sauna, and celebrated Christmas in a secluded chalet—a real family getaway. We also had lots of fun chatting and laughing, played games, and Johanna taught me how to crochet. Fellow travelers, you'll have a wonderful experience staying with Johanna and Richard!

I am Jhair from Peru, and I was lucky enough to spend one week volunteering with Dave and Julia. From the very first moment, they made me feel at home and truly part of the family. I really enjoyed feeding the sheep and chickens, helping with cutting the grass, and sharing in the local activities and traditions, especially the Christmas parade and carol singing, which were very special moments. It was a warm, positive, and inspiring experience. Julia and Dave have a wonderful energy and encourage you to stay active and enjoy everyday life. I wholeheartedly recommend them as hosts 💛

I stayed with lovely Liran one week at the end of November (including my birthday which was super and wholesome!) on a very short notice after another workway cancel, and she warmly took me in. We had great luck with the weather, a sunny week it was!, so we worked on the wall facades which was much fun and a creative process. We shared music, laughs and chocolate, I sincerely hope to go by Liran's house again in the future. If you enjoy a vey calm somewhat isolated village in beautiful nature, if you are okay with maybe sun but maybe more likely, rain, have a sense of personal time and space, you'll have a beautiful time here. I 100% recommend Liran :) Big hugs, dear Liran!!

Nico invites you into his home, he welcomes you, he surfs with you, he parties with you. He's the owner but he's also your friend. You can see the blood, sweat and tears he's put into the place and that's what makes it feel homey. it's a lovely crowd that stays there, the town is a good party place and the beach is excellent.

Theo is a very special person. It was such a great experience to have him with us for 3 weeks. We wish he could have stayed with us much longer. His gentle presence made it very easy for communications and co living. He has a keen attitude toward learning and a willingness to work tenaciously . An amazing ability to work as a team and always has great input. Theo was a big part of construction of a tiny house. He has lots of energy and enjoyed cycling to the village after a days work. We really hope to see Theo again. Highly recommended for various work experiences.

Because of Lars' help I could leave my place and travel in peace to see my father for one week. It was very helpful to have someone taking care of the house while i wasn't there, even if we didn't met before. Lars also helped me with a great number of tasks that I needed to do around the farm. Thank you so much for your help! Cheers!

I had such a pleasant experience staying with Arda and Nazan. I felt like a loving member of their family as they took great care of other volunteers and me. This was my first Workaway experience, and I am eternally grateful that it was fruitful and rejuvenating (after spending some time in busy Istanbul). We would start the mornings fertilizing and weeding the olive trees for a couple of hours, and then follow that with a filling lunch break. Sometimes we would have a coffee break after working in the afternoon. This was also a wonderful cultural exchange as we celebrated New Year's with Nazan, Arda, and their friends, devouring delicious Turkish food and listening to classic Turkish songs. We had a forest walk with them and their two dogs, Moki and Chucky. We shared some meals; Nazan made us a satiating Turkish breakfast on a Sunday morning. Nazan and Arda provided a generous amount of food for us to cook, sometimes giving us pre-made food. Additionally, they would ensure we had enough wood for the fireplace at night. They offered to bring us to Kaş a couple of times, which was very kind of them! I enjoyed sleeping with the cats at night. I would typically cuddle with Yoda. It was a good balance of tending the land while also engaging in a cultural exchange. I would highly recommend this opportunity to anyone who is looking at this posting! It was so nice getting to know Nazan and Arda, and I hope to come back to their land in the near future. They are so kind and caring, and I will forever cherish the time we spent together. (I tell my grandchildren about them!)

FYI: COMEN POQUITO CHILE HAHAHA

Mederick is a truly inspiring young man. He is engaged in life with a positive attitude everyday. It was a pleasure to host him as he has a keen willingness to learn and comes with a varied array of skills. Great conversations with openness and curiosity. He helped with building a tiny house. He cared for the property and animals while we were travelling. We are grateful to have him stay with us for 7 weeks.

Having Raphael around was amazing. He was very interested in the project and would do whatever was necessary to help me meeting my goals. Thanks for helping me out and for understanding how difficult it can be working on a farm, your help gave me the strenght to move on!
