    Description

    Hi!
*** we are open for 2 volunteers from mid April until end of May***

After almost 15 years and countless stays as volunteers / workawayers we finally are ready to welcome other workawayers to our new home here in Norway.

We, that's Richie, an allrounder when it comes to electrical and handy work and baking bread, bukashi etc. Johanna, the old business lady, now nature pedagog and the one for communication, human connection, creativity, baking and fermenting.
And Jori our little cat, who is the cuddle boss.

You can stay with us for about 10 to 14 days. We can not plan far in advance. That means during the next 2 to 4 weeks max. Better on shorter notice.

We have a house very close to the fjord with a ferry connection (30min) to Trondheim.

We have several projects to do during spring, where practical experience with hand tools is an advance. A drivers licence and driving skills come in handy.

We apprentice help with the following:
    - Helping to get the garden prepared
    -painting
    -woodwork
    -cleanups
    -preparing food
-help with the household just like in shared accommodations

With us you will eat mostly vegan / vegetarian although self-caught fish from the fjord is eaten here, too.

We have space for a couple or two individuals.

We have ski equipment for cross country which can be borrowed, bikes, boat for fishing, a great tour terrain, possibilities to stay close to Trollheimen NP, the fjord and lakes.

If you write us and wish to stay with us, please read our no-go's here:

    - Drug ab-use, including alcohol - not saying that a beer once in a while is okay ;)
    - Disrespectful behaviour, e.g. not cleaning after yourself (should not be mentioned, right?)

Because we get many general request, like copy-paste-style: Please let us know what you see yourself doing here (from the list).
Also our internet is not stable in a way that it is suitable for online working (like videocalls and stuff) - so if the internet connection is your top priority please consider somewhere else ;)

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We are both travelling souls and used to do so for a long time. Now the time has come to host people and share our believes and our way of life!
We live in a rural community with many different nationalities. We both are learning Norwegian, Johannas diet is mainly vergan and Richards mainly vegetarian ( we eat locally sourced meat/fish).
Richard speaks 4 Languages and thrives with cooking and fermenting stuff, Johanna loves to do baking, knitting and to be in the garden.
So, there is a lot learn and we also are very eager to learn ;)

    What else ...

We live in the "Strawberry Capital" of Norway!! That means decent weather in the summertime and a mild climate.
This place in gorgeous and has many small valleys, creek, and little mountaintops. The fjord view is just stunning and gives us so much energy.
Fishing is big here. We have a kajak you can borrow. Ski equipment plenty. We have bicycles you can borrow. Lots of tour-terrain.
Of course we have wifi ;)
