Description
Hi!
After almost 15 years and countless stays as woofers / helpxers / workawayers we finally are ready to welcome other wwoofers/helpxers/workawayers to our new home here in Norway.
Richi is a certified electrician and electrical and electronic engineer. Johanna was a team leader at a major company but decided to take it slower and works in the local kindergarden now.
We have a house very close to the fjord with a ferry connection (30min) to Trondheim. At the moment we live between here and Storås (Orkland), so you might spend some time on the road to go back and forth. Thats why we prefer people with driving experience. While you stay here you will be partly acompanied by Richi. All in all we dont expect you to work more than 4 hours.
This summer is our first summer here and we have some projects that could happen - nothing with a lot of pressure, we just take it easy. Here is a short list of things we could think of. We already started with garden and it is going great!
- Helping to make a little firewood
- Continuing to make raised beds
- Help to finish the greenhouse
- Planting out the garden plants we have raised throughout the spring now
- Helping to get started with some little projects in the house if the weather is bad (happens sometimes up here ;) )
With us you will eat mostly vegan / vegetarian although self-caught fish from the fjord is eaten here, too.
If you write us and wish to stay with us, please read our no-go's here:
- Drug ab-use, including alcohol - not saying that a beer once in a while is okay ;)
- Disrespectful behaviour, e.g. not cleaning after yourself (should not be mentioned, right?)
Because we get many general request, like copy-paste-style: Please let us know what you see yourself doing here (from the list).
Also our internet is not stable in a way that it is suitable for online working (like videocalls and stuff) - so if the internet connection is your top priority please consider somewhere else ;)Types of help and learning opportunities

We are both travelling souls and used to do so for a long time. Now the time has come to host people and share our believes and our way of life!
We live in a rural community with many different nationalities. We both are learning Norwegian, Johannas diet is mainly vergan and Richards mainly vegetarian (of course we eat locally sourced meat/fish).
Richard speaks 4 Languages and thrives with cooking and fermenting stuff, Johanna loves to do knitting and to be in the garden.
So, there is a lot learn and we also are very eager to learn ;)Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

We have a seperate appartment (not in operation right now) and also two guest rooms in the house. The bathroom is shared as well as the kitchen.
Johanna is working during the week and here at the weekend, Richard is staying here almost full-time, so depending on you as a helper we can make arrangements with food and general organisation ;)What else ...
