Hey there!
We’re Ellen and Carla, two friends from Germany who have just finished school and are now excited to start a new chapter in our lives. Over the next few months, we want to explore Europe, discover new cultures, and gain unique experiences by getting involved in meaningful projects.

We’re curious, open-minded, and highly motivated to contribute wherever we can – whether it’s working in the garden, helping with animals, supporting families or community projects. We see this journey as a great opportunity to meet inspiring people, broaden our horizons, and learn practical skills along the way.

Through 12 years of school, we’ve gained a solid foundation in English (and some French), and we’ve learned how to work efficiently, take initiative, and solve problems creatively. We’re both environmentally conscious, culturally interested, and passionate about music, hiking, and being outdoors.

We’d love to spend our time helping out with projects that support local communities and the environment – and we’re always happy to learn something new!

Social Skills
We both bring experience in the social sector.
Ellen has worked with children not only during a school internship at a kindergarten but also through her job at an indoor amusement park, where she regularly interacted with young guests.
Carla completed school internships in a dementia unit within geriatric care as well as in a daycare center for individuals with mental health conditions. She also has a younger sister she has helped care for from a young age and enjoys working with children.

Service and Gastronomy
Both of us have experience in the gastronomy industry and are used to working in a service- and customer-oriented manner.
Ellen worked in both a café and a restaurant, while Carla was employed at an ice cream shop and a restaurant, where she gained experience as a waitress, in the kitchen, and behind the bar. These roles have strengthened our ability to stay organized, work under pressure, and communicate effectively with customers.

Additional Skills
Besides our work experience in various fields, we also have practical knowledge in gardening and household tasks. We are both motivated, reliable, and know how to clean effectively.
In addition, we’ve both cared for pets – including cats and dogs – and are very comfortable working with animals. We enjoy spending time with them and are confident in handling their day-to-day needs.
