Hi! I’m Raphael (“Raph” or “Rapha”), a 25 year-old from Toronto, Canada. I recently left my consulting job of three years in the big city to spend a year traveling, learning, and exploring new ways of living.

I was born in London, and grew up between France and Canada. I’m fluent in French, English, and Italian (my dad’s side is Italian), and intermediate in Spanish (always looking to improve any of these)! My friends describe me as sociable, curious, open-minded, and empathetic. I always try try to bring a positive energy into everyday life!

While this is my first workaway season, I’m eager and generally quick to learn. I’m especially curious about beekeeping, animal care (horses, cattle, sheep), construction, and some customer service. However I’m also very open to whatever a host might need! Above all, I’m a people-person and I love to learn from people with unique skills and life stories!

I’m adaptable, an independent problem solver, and enjoy both physical work and people-facing tasks. I am tidy, reliable, and comfortable living in shared spaces.

I am an avid traveller who tends to eat his way through the places he visits (I love discovering new dishes!). In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking/baking, playing tennis, and playing the guitar when I’m around one.
