I was at Erik and Emma’s place over the holiday period and they really made me feel part of the family. They were always incredibly kind to me and very helpful; I worked in their garden, contributed to some house projects, took care of the chickens and got to help out with and learn about beekeeping as well! Their little one, Heidi, is extremely sweet and great to play with. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay, thank you so much! 🫶🏼

Valdemar has been an absolute standout—easily one of the most remarkable Workawayers to join us this year. ​He possesses a rare blend of youthful energy and an unwavering sense of duty; the concepts of "tired" or "exhausted" simply aren't in his vocabulary. Whether he was navigating the high-spirited chaos of a primary school classroom or thoughtfully engaging a group of inquisitive high schoolers, Valdemar rose to every challenge with a genuine smile. His presence brought so much joy and satisfaction to the students, the parents, and me alike. ​Valdemar, you’ve left such a lasting impression here—we truly hope to see you back with us next year!

This was my first Workaway experience and I spent 5 weeks with Amanda and Richard. It was the perfect start to my adventure in New Zealand. They are incredibly welcoming, patient and kind. From the very beginning, I felt like part of the family. I learned a lot during my stay, from gardening to using tools, to collaborating on a creative art project for the garden. We also shared good meals and interesting conversations. The animals are adorable too, and I already miss Oscar's cuddles! But most of all, Amanda and Richard went out of their way to help me repair my van. They really saved my trip, and I can't thank them enough for their generosity and support. If you're looking for a place where you can learn new skills and feel at home, I highly recommend staying with them. Thank you again for everything! 🚐

I had a great time with Kathi and Gerald! They are such kind people, and I really enjoyed learning about the farm and helping with daily tasks. They are so knowledgable and patient and instantly made me feel comfortable. They were so accommodating in driving me to the train station for a weekend trip, and letting me come earlier when my travel plans. This was an amazing experience and I'm so happy I was able to come and stay!

We had a really wonderful experience with Franco. It started with us always forgetting his name and giving him other names which he all accepted with graciousness and a lough. His humour and general happy demeanor is what made his company so enriching for us. Apart from that, he was always ready to help with anything that needed doing, be it in the kitchen, garden or some heavy carrying. We planted pistachios together and gave them names. He is always welcome back, also you forgot one t-shirt here, we will take turns wearing it :D

I just looooved this experience here. My favorite workaway experience. Exactely what I was looking for. I spent one month in this green and sunny paradise (looks like in the middle of nowhere, but 15-10 minutes to the city only). I found so much more than a work / food and accomodation exchange. We created our little world there with Elliot and 3 other volonteeres. Elliot is a very inspirering personne for many reasons and his beautiful and dynamique energy makes his place and home very special. We shared so much toguether and created a little, happy and funny community. (daily life and meals, hikes, THE karaoke night, films by the fire, but also beautifuls and touching discussions, feelings and support). It is really a place where you can feel free to be yourself. Elliot made me feel home since second one (since the video call we had before to be honnest). His excitement is contageous and he is super excited about... absolutly everythings !! Regarding to the work, the organisation of the working hours, coffee break and free time is clear and precise. Elliot knows exactely what he is doing as he bilt absolutely everything there. So the task are also very clear ans well organised (mostely gardening and painting the meditation dome when I was there). He explaines well, trusts people, and shares those moments with us in a joyfull mood. I highly recommend you to discover this wonderfull and crazy personne and place !

Mikesch and Leonie are very nice couple...they are energetic,adaptable,and very helpful. Eventhough they stayed just for couple days, but they already made good moments here. Thank you so much and just come back to visit us again in another chances.🫶🫶 Really recommended to your project...

Annette volunteered with us for a few weeks and helped us out a lot! She is skilled at marketing and content creation and helped us with a few amazing videos! She has great energy, and is a great volunteer always willing to help out! We would 100% recommend her!

Okay, wow. What to say?? This family was definitely one of the sweetest, most chaotic and welcoming experiences I’ve had. As soon as I arrived - which was quite late, mind you - I was greeted with hospitality and about 50 games of UNO.:D Kathi and Till were super relaxed and patient, always making sure I was comfortable with the work I had to do and checking on me. And the kids were truly the cutest, even though I only got to spend two weeks with them, I grew so very fond of them, they almost felt like little siblings to me. They’re so open and genuinely kind and will immediately make you feel like you’re part of the family. We shared so many fun moments together - roaming around the city, playing boardgames, watching movies, just eating together. It certainly never gets boring with this family. We were about an hour’s drive away from the city centre, the public transport is amazing here so it was easy to get around whenever you pleased. The communication was great, too; I bombarded Kathi with questions at times and she always took her time to help me find the best solution for everything. (Thank you for that, I would’ve been lost otherwise!!) Now that I’ve left, I truly regret only having stayed for two weeks. Time flew by way too fast. I miss every single person in this family endlessly and will 100% come back in the future. I made such a beautiful connection here and I think you will, too - they make it really difficult not to like them!! Thank you again, all of you, for making this stay so, so beautiful and meaningful for me. I miss you tons.<3

Antonella stayed with us for three weeks, looking after Maria’s 93-year-old dad (cooking and other household tasks, keeping him company, conversation, etc). She was a great support for us, as she lived in his house and kept an eye on him even when she was not officially working. She was very up-beat, easy-going, respectful and always ready to help when help was needed. She quickly adapted to our conditions and understood how things work around here without needing much guidance. Communication with her was smooth and she fit in well with everyone. We appreciated her effort and would gladly host her again anytime. Hope to see you again, Antonella.

It was really lovely hosting Joanna on her first week in South America. I’m glad the quieter neighborhood helped her ease into Lima a bit. I truly appreciated her help around the house and in the garden, and it was nice chatting and sharing our travel stories during the week. Genesis definitely enjoyed the extra attention too! You’re always welcome back if your travels bring you to Lima again. I hope the rest of your trip is full of great experiences!

Emma is a respectful and gentle young woman. She lived at our house for approximately 2 months. Eager to learn and experience new things. We recommend Emma to whoever wants to work with her.

I was really happy to Finn was here, I really enjoied his company! He understood and learnt fast the system of the farm so after few days he was able to do it alone and teach the new volunteer too, he is really good in the kitchen I also learned some things from him! He is trustable, proactive and patient to speak with people who does not have good English and he knows the word apology which means he is a valuable personality. We have some interesting conversations of the history of this region during the dinner with homemade wine. Hope to see him again in the farm! :) P.S. Mazsi the dog is miss you too ;)

We had a great experience doing this workaway in Pisa for 2 months (December to February) and enjoyed everything Tuscany had to offer. We found Pisa to be a good base to explore the region, and the work responsibilities where as described, which included house cleaning, house sitting, laundry, dog walking, and gardening. Gabriele and Francesca where very flexible and fair, did not micromanage, and where very forgiving if you made a mistake. Their kids where also very sweet and well behaved, although we rarely had childcare responsibilities. We also enjoyed spending the time with their dog Duccio, a very smart and strong little guy, and a great personality. We took him out for walks around the neighborhood and in the nearby forest, and even joined us for a hike a couple times. Gabriele and Francesca where very generous with the accommodation and use of their car. We shared an apartment with Caterina and Filipe, and enjoyed the cultural exchange and getting to know them. We found them to be very friendly and helpful. We would enthusiastically recommend this workaway, and we where very grateful we had this opportunity.

Tena koutou, Yaan came to us for a couple of weeks and was an absolute joy to have in our home and in our community. He is a very kind, soft hearted and sensitive guy who you can have great conversations with. He threw himself into all tasks and opportunities with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Yaan was willing to do anything and happy to work as a team or solo. We highly recommend Yaan if you want quality interaction and a willingness to help out. Nga Mihi Nui ki a koe e Yaan. Top Man!!!

"Reiko stayed with me for 5 weeks, and it was a true pleasure to host her. During her stay, she very generously helped me with meal preparation and cleaning. She took a great interest in my daily life and helped me tremendously in configuring and optimizing all my technology. Thanks to her patience, my computer, televisions, and even my cell phone are now working perfectly. A huge thank you to her for her kindness and for sharing her skills! I would highly encourage you to host her if you ever get the chance. It would undoubtedly be a very positive experience for you."

We hosted Claire and Sylvie for two and a half months, and having them around was truly a blessing. They are incredibly considerate and genuinely care about us and our little one. They were always mindful of energy consumption and made a real effort not to waste food or electricity. Not only do they make great dinners, but they are also surprisingly handy! They helped with various house projects, from clearing snow to small repairs. Sylvie is a talented pianist and a professional educator; her systematic, scientific approach to childcare was wonderful, and Claire is a sunshine and our little one loves her. They were so curious about Norway—frequently visiting museums, spending time at the library, and exploring winter activities. In return, they shared so many stories and insights into Taiwanese culture with us. We were very emotional when they had to leave, and we truly hope to meet again!

Mareike was an absolute pleasure to host! From the moment she arrived, she brought a warm, positive energy that made every day brighter. She approached all tasks with enthusiasm, reliability, and a great attitude—whether it was helping with the stables, feeding, cleaning, or jumping into new jobs with ease. She was wonderfully independent while still being an engaged and enjoyable part of our daily routine. We especially appreciated her great conversations, her sense of humour, and the respectful way she fitted into the rhythm of life here. The dogs adored her too! Mareike is kind, considerate, and genuinely fun to have around. We would welcome her back anytime and highly recommend her to any future hosts. She will be an asset wherever she goes. 🌟

Daisy brought a really warm and friendly energy to our household. Nothing was too hard for her to do and she quickly fit into our lifestyle. She was communicative and easily picked up on what I wanted her to do. Our dog loved her and we felt very grateful we could leave her for a holiday knowing the dog was in such good hands. She was very reliable and trustworthy.
