    - Currently over winter elderly care and working on our social media presentation - videography

    We, Maria and Jürgen live in a small village in the Sauerland region (one hour from Dortmund), in an almost 200-year-old farmhouse, with organic vegetable garden, small orchard und our animals -12 sheep, 6 chickens and 2 cats.

    We would love to welcome people with an interest in sustainability living. That includes a bit of maintenance work (painting, rewiring, repairing and tidying), gardening (in winter much less, mostly in spring & summer plus computer work (website). There is also a videography project which needs digital marketing and graphic design knowledge. Also we are experimenting with AI (artificial intelligence and LLMs) for creation of a knowledgebase around social permaculture.

    It is the perfect place if you want to start a life in Germany or like to have an authentic peek into German life without being overwhelmed by a big city. At the same time, old beautiful villages like Arnsberg or Münster are not too far away. We usually have a few workaways from all over world which is just fab.

    Our village is a very traditional German beautiful village with a huge lake nearby. They could learn German, have mostly organic food and understand more of permaculure principles. We also provide bikes.
    In terms of animals we have 12 sheep, 6 chickens and 2 cats which are more fun than actually work.

    Mostly in summer and much less in winter, you need to take care our organic vegetable garden based on permaculture principles. In practical terms, lots of small things that change often every day like weeding, digging, looking after the chickens and cats, cleaning windows, painting.
    In addition, we like to do something around videography and content management around social permaculture especially in low season. Also our websites need to be organised a litte better.

    This place is 1 hour from Dortmund and 2 hours from Cologne in a rural area close to a forrest (2 min) and a lake (10 min by bicycle). There is an old town to visit (Arnsberg) but not much party other than the yearly festival in the summer.
