Description
Hey there, I'm Marissa, a Peruvian traveler and dance lover who’s always curious, always learning, and always looking for good energy. I’m all about connecting with people who have stories to tell. If there’s music, laughter, and a chance to learn something new, I’m all in.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Staying with me means experiencing a more local side of Lima, not just the usual tourist areas like Miraflores or Barranco. My neighborhood is residential, safe, and full of life: small markets, affordable places to eat, nice coffee shops, and friendly people in their everyday routines. Since I’m located almost halfway between the airport and Miraflores, getting around is easier, and your taxi/ride costs to the airport are much lower than they would be from the tourist districts.
You’ll be sharing the home with me and my very curious cat, Genesis, who likes to act like she’s the landlord… but she’s harmless and loves new humans. You’ll have your own room and access to the whole house, and I do my best to make guests feel comfortable and included.
What I enjoy the most about hosting is the cultural exchange. I genuinely love meeting people from different parts of the world, sharing stories over a cup of coffee, tea or mate (my favorite), learning new perspectives on life, and showing you small local things if our schedules match. I’m very musical, and if you play an instrument or sing, we can always improvise a little jam session. I play the ukulele and usually have music playing in the house.
If you want to learn something while you’re here, I’m happy to help with Spanish practice, basic Peruvian cooking (I make a great Lomo Saltado), or even a little Salsa 101 just for fun. I also speak French, Portuguese, and basic Italian, so language exchange is absolutely on the table.
In return, I hope to learn from your culture, your skills, your stories, and the things you’re passionate about. I live alone, so having a Workawayer with a positive vibe really brings good energy into the house.

Help
Right now I’m working on remodeling parts of my home so I’m especially happy to host people with painting skills, small repair experience like fixing some cracks on the wall, or any hands-on knowledge that can help bring these spaces to life. If that sounds like you, let’s connect!

Accommodation
Workawayers will have a private room in my home — cozy, simple, and comfortable. I provide a full set of clean linens (sheets, blanket, pillows, towels) so you can settle in easily.
You’ll have access to all shared areas: the kitchen, living room, bathroom, and laundry space. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.
✔️ What I Offer
• Private room
• Clean linens & towels (replaced once a week)
• Use of the kitchen
• Laundry access
• Wi-Fi
• A calm, safe residential area with great access to transportation and the airport
• Tips on local spots, food, and places to visit in Lima
• Friendly company from me and my cat 🐈⬛
❗ What I Don’t Provide
To avoid misunderstandings:
• No meals included — you’re welcome to use the kitchen anytime to prepare your own food
• No personal hygiene products (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc.) — please bring your own
• No extra linens beyond what’s provided
I like to keep the space clean, calm, and respectful so everyone feels comfortable.
