Luis was a great host! He took us on a tour to 7 lakes a couple days after we got there. Very beautiful hike! I also went on a tour to Rainbow mountain, highly recommend doing that while you're in Cusco! We met and got to know so many incredible people from all over the world, one of whom we're meeting up with again tomorrow! The dog shelter has come a long way and there are so many sweet dogs running around and getting pets and cuddles (also just laying around and sleeping lol)! We helped with the horses, cutting grass, picking up dog poo, and painting some chipped exterior of the house with mud. Also helped with cooking a lot. Anything you do there is enjoyable because you can just look up and see huge beautiful mountains all around you! We had a great time here. Thank you Luis for everything!

I spent a very fruitful 11 days here! The work schedule is great for having a balance of having time to yourself, and feeling like you are leaving your mark on the space. Luis is a super chill guy and makes you feel very comfortable. He was happy to answer my many questions and share his knowledge. Along with the general manual labor that I did, he taught me a little bit about building with cob. It's pretty easy to get to San Juan and to a very beautiful quiet beach. I recommend using your time here to slow down and enjoying being disconnected. The lack of electricity makes the experience that much more valuable. The sleeping situation is comfortable too.

I spent 9 wonderful days at Yucels farm in Kas, and it was such a great experience. The farm is surrounded by beautiful mountains and gave me so much peace. As a bicycle traveler, stepping away from the road to change my routine and daily activities was exactly what I needed, and I genuinely enjoyed every minute of it. The daily work was very rewarding. I learned so much hands on about permaculture, pruning, planting, and building terraces for the plants. Yucel is an incredibly welcoming and patient host who really makes sure you have everything you need. His dog Bobo is such a sweetheart and made the best working companion. The house itself is lovely and very comfortable to live in. I 100 percent recommend staying here. Thank you my friend for the great time we shared, I truly hope to return and that our paths cross again soon.

Having **Ales** with us for two weeks was a blessing. We were able to make great progress on a major project; he was an invaluable help thanks to his strength and his tireless work ethic, always doing more rather than less. In addition, he adapts to everything, is very easy to live with, and the boys really enjoyed talking and spending time with him. I highly recommend him.

Filippa & Nicolai were two of the best Workawayers we had. They did wonders with the primary students at the public school and also did some beautiful paintings on the school wall at the request of the school principal. They did sports with the village kids that helped their English communication skills. The duo learned to play cricket from the local kids and became adept at it, too. They were very close to the host family, and they adored them. Little Bivon will miss them a lot. They went an extra mile by teaching our online students by extending their services to additional hours, too. They loved the duo as they were very friendly and creative in teaching. The teenage students enjoyed the lessons a lot. I wish they worked longer here. They promised to teach the students online even after going home.

What a beautiful three months at this magical finca ✨ Even before I arrived, Mo & Kiki were open, flexible, and thoughtful in their communication about my stay, which immediately set the tone for what was to come. From the moment I stepped in, I was embraced with genuine warmth into the little family they had created with a group of truly wonderful volunteers. It’s impossible to name all of the lovely memories but some highlights were; the buzzing, connective energy around the olive harvest, wild mountain hikes, falling in love with their animals, orange harvesting, cocoa ceremonies, crafting, wild swimming, sharing excellent food, dancing, dinner parties, and so much more ! What I treasured above all was the way Mo & Kiki welcomed me, and other volunteers, into their wider community. From the very beginning, we were not treated as temporary visitors, but as friends. They introduced us with such warmth and sincerity that we were immediately accepted by their circle, made to feel genuinely valued and at home. One of their friends hosted a four-day fiesta, which became such a beautiful and memorable gathering. It was more than just a celebration; it was a vivid expression of community and connection. Being involved in the preparations felt profoundly meaningful. Over the course of my time there, I slept in four different places, each offering its own distinct rhythm and atmosphere. I especially cherished the privacy of the cute, little caravan, tucked away surrounded only by rosemary and thyme, with the mountains rising quietly in the distance. Later, sharing the guest house with Robert while we house-sat for a few weeks was equally beautiful, having our own little house was a huge privilege I’ll always be grateful for. Having fewer volunteering hours each week than I had experienced in other Workaways gave me the opportunity to focus more intentionally on my own projects. Because the workload was very different from other placements, the experience felt unique. Kiki & Mo were incredibly encouraging and supportive of our own pursuits, and created a nurturing environment to allow us to grow not only as individuals, but also collectively as a community. I will always be deeply grateful for my time at this wild finca with these two wonderful beings. The freedom and ease I experienced with them was like no other, trust came naturally and life flowed without pressure or expectation. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart for everything - until our paths cross again! 🫒🤍

I spent two amazing weeks near Fort Langley! The house and the garden are both large and beautiful, making it a very pleasant place to stay. The hosts, Manijeh and Jim, are incredibly welcoming and kind. I really enjoyed our many conversations together; it was a great way for me to truly discover Canadian culture. I felt right at home throughout my stay. Regarding the work, I felt very free in my tasks. It was especially pleasant as I was able to work in the garden during the beautiful weather, which I really enjoyed. I had the chance to visit Fort Langley, and the surrounding cities like Vancouver or Langley are accessible. It’s about a 50-minute walk to the nearest bus stop, but the hosts were kind enough to lend me a bike, which was a fantastic way to get around! I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a warm and authentic stay.

I can honestly say this has been my favourite Workaway experience so far! Marty and Sara are wonderful people who have created a beautiful and peaceful home in Narracan. The work is mainly outdoors — helping in the garden, taking care of the goats, or working on fences — and it’s both enjoyable and rewarding. The room and meals they provide are excellent, and they’re very respectful of your privacy. They have a very busy life with friends and events that they love to take you to: it is very important that you say yes because it is the best time! Whether this is going to the beach, a gig or Melbourne, it is always a blast. Marty showed me how to ride a motorcycle, gave me a spare skateboard and gave me hitchhiking tips for Australia. I had an amazing time, and I cannot wait to see them when I go back to Australia. Thanks a lot for the experience and time in Narracan!

I spent four wonderful weeks on Salt Spring Island, and it was a truly pleasant experience. The house is located right by the sea, which is a huge plus, it was so easy to go for a swim! The hosts (Heidi , David and Robyn) are incredibly kind, and I felt very welcomed and fully integrated into the family. It was a great opportunity for me to discover Canadian culture firsthand. I had the chance to explore Salt Spring Island together with my hosts, who showed me many amazing places. Even though it's an island, I found it quite easy to visit Victoria or Vancouver using the buses and ferries. Regarding the tasks, I felt very free as the hosts are very flexible about their needs. My work mainly involved gardening and home renovation projects. Overall, I had a fantastic time and highly recommend this host!

I was over 4 weeks here and it was an amazing experience! For every audio-visual creative or person with skills in social media management I would 100% recommend. Maku and Capi received me very warm and kind, I directly felt home in the place. I had my own room in a nice house right next to the beach, Piscinas. In this house there are always local and international musicians co-creating. A very inspiring home! They both speak Spanish and English, so it is not a problem if your Spanish is still in progress :) I was surfing every day in Lobitos and learned a lot. The work is just 3h/day, 5 times a week, so you have plenty of time to enjoy your stay. They are very open for new ideas and trying out new concepts for their socials. The project is very new, eventhough they have a lot of experiences as musicians and producers. The work consists of the following things: 1. Conceptualization and creation of content for Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube 2. About weekly recording sessions with different musicians (similar to tiny desk conerts) 3. Interacting with the community on the social media platforms 4. Helping with the website/ seo/ new ideas for the music house Lobitos is a surf town in the northern desert of Perú. A calm environment right next to the beach with an active community. There are always cute events, live concerts (mostly organized by our house :)), workshops like pottery or dance and of course a lot of surfing! It is easy to find people to connect with, from Lobitos, Perú or other workawayers. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. The village is very small so it makes sense to stock up with food from Talara, but there is also a fruits& vegetables car passing by nearly every day and 3 mini markets. (If you are vegan there is a local person making vegan sandwiches and selling vegan sausages, ask Maku about it). I will come back soon <3

I spent three wonderful weeks here! The house is very comfortable and pleasant to live in. The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming. I really enjoyed spending time with them and doing activities together, like going to the cinema and visiting White Rock. It made the whole experience feel very friendly and authentic. Location-wise, it’s great for exploring. I had the chance to do a lot of sightseeing, and getting to Vancouver is quite easy by bus. Regarding the work, I felt very free in my tasks. I mainly did some gardening and cutting wood for borders. It was a fantastic experience overall, and I highly recommend this Workaway!

This is not to be missed! Tourists visit Khajuraho for a day or two, WorkAway makes it possible to immerse yourself in this beautiful town for a week or more. The hotel has a prime location and accommodation reserved for WorkAway is far better than most. As stated by the host, there is not much to do. I created my own project and I was the omelette queen. It was a joy serving fluffy omelets to guests and owners a like. Breakfasts often became drawn out because of very interesting conversation. Both Prahsant and his father provided insight into many aspects of Indian culture and spirituality. I had time to go on long walks to the temples around the town and to appreciate the beautiful landscape. Don't miss the excellent Tribal and Folk Art Museum. Hit that heart and save this as a top favourite!

I stayed for a month and had a great time with all the hostel staff. The atmosphere is peaceful and safe, there's a lot of sharing, and you quickly feel at home. It's a kind of community :) The work is light but you have to take care of the hostel as if it were your own home, keep it clean and have an eye for detail. Thank you, Jose, for making this dream come true.

We cannot recommend them highly enough as volunteers. From the very beginning, both of them were wonderful, proactive, and genuinely committed to helping. They were always willing to support in any way possible whether teaching classes, assisting with online sessions, preparing materials, or simply bringing positive energy into the academy. They constantly looked for ways to contribute and add value, not only academically but also personally with our students. Their attitude was professional, responsible, and kind. They connected beautifully with the students, many of whom were at a high English level, and managed to both challenge and motivate them. We are truly grateful to have had them as part of our team for two months. Beyond the classroom, they were respectful, adaptable, and integrated easily into our family environment. It was a pleasure hosting them. We feel very lucky to have counted on them and we highly, highly recommend them to any host. They will be a great addition to any project they join. Thank you again for everything you gave to our academy and community 💛

My feedback is very long due but I still remember this experience dearly as if it was yesterday. I stayed in Boente helping Tomas and Inma for almost two months last spring and it was incredible to say the least! I was touched by how warmly they welcomed me right away and made me feel like I wasn’t just helping out, but I was also asked for opinions and how they could improve their hostel and pilgrims stay:) I appreciated that a lot!! Tomas is very understanding and easygoing to have around, and patiently explained me the most effective ways to keep the place tidy and welcoming. The main help is cleaning out the rooms once the pilgrims leave and preparing a filling dinner in the evening for the new guests. This means a good chunk of free time in the afternoons where I could explore the surrounding towns and walk or bike a bit on the Camino. I also found the bus stop nearby the best transport for visiting Santiago, Lugo or La Coruña during my stay in Galicia. I thanked Tomas and Imna so much for this opportunity and I’m so glad we became friends, I really hope I can be the first workawayer to come back to the beautiful slow life and countryside Boente Grazie mille!!

I am very happy with my Workaway experience here 😊 Even though the February weather was not the best 🌧️, the warm and friendly atmosphere made everything feel comfortable and welcoming. The property is surrounded by beautiful mountains and forests 🏔️🌲 — a truly peaceful and inspiring place. The company of two friendly dogs and cats 🐶🐶🐱 made the stay even more special. Dario is cheerful, calm and very thoughtful ✨ He always gave clear and understandable instructions and did it in a very delicate and respectful way. Ivor worked side by side with me 🔨 He has a lot of experience working with wood and stone and is always happy to explain and demonstrate. In the evenings it was a pleasure to be present at his music rehearsals 🎶 Nani is cheerful, cooks very tasty food 🍲 and knows many funny stories 😄 I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet, secluded and slow mountain atmosphere 🌄🤍
