Low-EMF Nature Stay in Rural Ecuador

Welcome to a peaceful, low EMF home in the Andes.

If you value quiet, nature and a simple lifestyle, this is a great place for you. This on a hillside property outside town with beautiful views, clean air and very limited electromagnetic exposure. It’s ideal for people who want a calm reset, digital detox, creative retreat or a grounded environment for personal projects.

We are looking for a respectful and self directed volunteer who can help with light tasks and enjoy a tranquil setting.

    🌿 What’s special

Low EMF environment (no WiFi on the property)
Peaceful setting with birds, mountains and fresh breezes
Independent, quiet home with no children or loud activity
Great for people who need downtime or focused work
You will have privacy and clear boundaries

    🌱 Type of help

You don’t need special skills. Reliability and a steady presence are enough. You may help with things like:

Light house help such as sweeping or simple organization
Garden help such as watering or weeding or planting herbs
Occasional small maintenance or tidy up projects
Carrying items or assisting with small home improvement tasks
Any building or carpentry or design skills are a bonus
Work is approx 3-5 hours a day for 5 days a week.

    🏡 Accommodation

You will have a clean, private workers' house, including natural light and surrounding nature. The workers' house is simple and comfortable and kept fragrance free to the best of our ability.

You’ll stay in a simple, rustic separate house a short walk from the main house. It has electricity and a comfortable bed (don't worry, sheets will be provided and a little more furniture inside for your use, we are working to update images of the accommodations). There is no running water inside or right to the house, but there is a handwashing and shower area with running water just a short walk up some steps.

Basic cooking supplies (hot plate, kettle, dishes) are provided. Please unplug appliances when not in use.

    It is low-EMF:
No WiFi inside or at the main house or workers's house. Internet is easily available through ethernet cables and adapters are used to connect computers, phones and tablets to internet access, keeping the environment clear of emf pollution for humans, wildlife and pollinators
Wired internet access available at the main house and eventually (but not currently) at the workers' house
    No smart appliances
No significantly radiating towers nearby or from neighbors
Phones are fine to have on the property, but please keep airplane mode on the property when access is not needed
If you are very sensitive in this way, I can share more info and readings with you

This is ideal for EMF sensitive volunteers or people who want a digital detox.

    🍃 Food

I provide basic groceries each week like rice, eggs, vegetables and fruit. You cook your own meals. If you have dietary needs, let me know.

There are small shops, restaurants and markets in town for anything extra you want.

    📍 Location

Rural Ecuador near a small town with cafés, markets and international flair. The home sits on a hillside with walking paths and great views and lots of birds. It’s quiet but not completely isolated. Town is somewhat near and the area feels safe.

    🏡 House rules

This is a smoke-free, drug-free space and moderate alcohol use only. We have smoke allergies. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys quiet, nature and simple living.

Note: We put can accommodate 1 workawayer, but there is a chance of 2. There is a bunk bed in the workers' house. It's probably better for a single person, but there is a chance two would work.

We enjoy a quiet life and prefer quiet hours between 8pm and 7am. When we go to the town, we can provide transport. Transport to the town is $6 each way. It is important that you use an approved, trusted driver (not just anyone) who understands how to get here, etc. We can likely pick you up for your arrival, though.

There are rivers, trails, waterfalls, restaurants and small town attractions and charm very nearby.
