Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We live in Narracan, it is a quiet little place surrounded by beautiful green rolling hills. Our local town of Thorpdale has a great little pub and bakery that we can go visit together. We will interact with you our Workaway guest as much as we can, sharing meals, going on nature hikes. We can drive up the bush and see kangaroos , we can swim in the Narracan Waterfall.
Marty can also drive us to visit Towns and local shops for supplies we are very flexible and willing to accommodate. Cultural exchange means we would love to learn about you and your experiences share our experiences and always be respectful of our different cultures.
We go skateboarding very often as there are many parks locally, we would love to meet any skaters on here! We Have spare boards, roller skates and protective gear so we can all have a roll together!
There is also a bus to the beach approximately 45 minutes away. If you like to go on day trips, Marty can drop you off here while I go to work during the day and pick you up in the afternoon.
Local farmers markets happen regularly, and many Op Shops (Thrift Stores) are in surrounding towns that we like to
visit and can go together .
Local Festivals include Italian fest, Garlic & Potato Winter Festivals which we often attend and could visit together.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
