I very much enjoyed having Valentin to stay, And I was so grateful for all his help. He is a very nice, thoughtful and hard-working person. He’s also very independent, I was able to set him tasks and just let him get on and do them by himself. He willingly helped me with an incredible range of tasks, to a very high standard. He is also a great cook and very good company, having travelled a lot and with an open minded point of view. I can’recommend him highly enough, And wish him fun on his new adventures.

I had an absolutely amazing two weeks staying with Dawn. From the very beginning, she was incredibly kind and always made me feel appreciated for the work I was doing, which meant a lot to me. I truly loved her cooking, every meal was delicious!! and I really enjoyed the time we spent sharing meals, watching films and TV shows together, and having so many great conversations. It created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I also learned a lot about gardening during my stay, which was a wonderful and enriching experience. The room I stayed in was absolutely adorable, it felt like living in a Hobbit house, ahah! Thank you again, Dawn, for these unforgettable two weeks!

Sue and Grant have a lovely property and a whimsical house that would fit right into a fairytale. Over the week we helped with some gardening, wood stacking, and general maintenance of the house, in return for shared meals and many many sweet cuddles with Nauve and Pepi who could instantly spot a couple of free hand ready for pets. Sue and Grant gave us some great recommendations of what to see in the area and everything was truly breathtaking. We had a great time and it was nice change of pace to wake up with the rising sun and having a nice early night.

Mamiko and her daughter Asa are polite and were very helpful.They were respectful of our home and faith practices.They helped with babysitting and other tasks in the day. We shared meals and they prepared delicious Japanese breakfasts for my family and my guests .The meals were simple yet healthy and delicious .I learnt so much. We struggled a bit with communication but their impeccable manners and grace far outweigh the language barrier as they are very eager to practise and learn. Mamiko , a facial therapist , also did some facials and hand massages by way of shared exchange which we appreciated. Overall a good stay!

Sara was only with me for four nights but she fitted right in to my household and was very easy to host. During her short stay she was a great help to me with planting out some native plants into an area of the farm and assisting me with some major tidying up in my late husband's shed when the weather turned wet. She also did some weeding of the rampant ivy and we bottled some peaches together. Nothing was a bother to her, she's good company and I'd recommend her to other hosts. Happy travels sweet lady.

Nele and Titus were wonderful guests, and such hard workers. Welcome back any time.

Have been with Tanisha and Ashwin for only 4 days to bridge some time on my journey. The work I did was quite diverse (watering, weeding, woodwork), but sometimes also really hard (digging trenches with Indian style shovels), usually 7 to 9:30 .. 10:00 AM and 5 to ~7 PM. Accommodation is simple (no private space, you live with other volunteers), bathroom is pure Indian style (no toilet paper), so don't expect any comfort. However you'll live in a wonderful place at the end of a small village in the middle of the jungle. And your hosts are also super nice and helpful (and usually prepare a great dinner - Ashwin made the *BEST* vegan Italian pizza I ever had 😄).

I had an amazing two weeks in the Czech staying with Roman, Tereza, Rosie, and Vickie! Roman and Tereza were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and welcoming throughout my stay. They were so kind and considerate, and they made me feel completely at ease. I also had such a great time spending time with Rosie and Vickie, they are truly the sweetest! The flat was clean, well-organized, and very convenient for getting into the city center. The food was another highlight. They cooked so many delicious Czech and European dishes for me, which was such a special experience. I also learned a lot about Czech culture, history, language, and great places to explore thanks to them. Thank you again for such a wonderful two weeks!!

We have just hosted Tess for 2 weeks at our home on Waiheke Island. From the outset, Tess communicated beautifully & arrived on schedule at a mutually agreed time. Tess is a beautiful young woman, who was so keen to help where ever she could. So thoughtful and kind. She is very strong and works very hard. Her English is very good and we also enjoyed some delicious French cooking! Definitely recommend you ask for her Lemon Chicken & Quiche Lorraine! She made the most of her time here and ventured off on long walks every day exploring the wider area. I highly recommend Tess as a helping hand at your place 10/10! And would welcome her back anytime 🌻

Juliette and Laeticia are two amazing girls with so much kindness and always with a smile in their faces. We had the luck that they found us and helps us with all types of tasks during 2 months, they are reliable, positive, helpfull, and you just really feel comfortable having them around. Just happy about all their stay! Fully recommended as workawayers, and friends ♥️

I learned so much and talked about Tracey's passion, I loved sharing those moments! Tracey makes really good meals and delicious cakes!! We had a lovely time staying with Mark and Philippa (and Chris!). They were so welcoming, their property is beautiful and the chickens are adorable. The accommodation was great, very clean and comfortable, and you’re very much treated like part of the family from the get-go. The work was fun and very reasonable, and the food delicious. We can’t thank them enough for a wonderful week- setting the bar high for future work-aways!!

Hola a todxs como estan? Gracias por leer. Les comparto que Bella estuvo en casa por 15 dias. Nuestra experiencia fue muy hermosa porque pudimos aprender y enseñar nuestras habilidades al mismo tiempo que ayudamos en casa de familias que habian perdido todo en los incendios. Bella es una mujer muy empoderada, independiente, proactiva y le gusta mucho aprender nuevas manejas de crear. Es dinamica, habla muy bien el español y creo que es una persona muy inteligente y observadora. Tuvimos la posibilidad de ser todas mujeres y eso fue una experiencia muy hermosa. Muy recomendable para que la reciban en sus proyectos.

David stayed with us for 10 days and helped us with our house cleaning and gardening projects. He helped us with progressing the many tasks we needed to get done! David enjoys cleaning tasks and working with small fine details. At our daily dinners together, we enjoyed sharing with David as he has many stories of his travelling adventures and unique interests! He likes to learn about different cultures and is very curious by nature. Thanks so much David for helping us out, and enjoy the rest of your travels!

Nuestra estancia en casa de Omero fue formidable. Pudimos conocer e intercambiar con personas maravillosas en La Florida. La región está llena de lugares increíbles como los 5 lagos, la cascada de Ojo de Agua, e incluso tuvimos el privilegio de acompañar a Omero y a 2 de sus mulas hasta la laguna Miramar! En la zona autónoma zapatista donde se encuentra La Florida no hay turistas; la inmersión es total, es una excelente manera de perfeccionar tu español. Los días están bien ocupados, pero el trabajo es siempre agradable y lleno de descubrimientos diarios. Tuvimos la suerte de participar en la cosecha, el secado y la exportación del cardamomo. También hay plantaciones de café, litchi y maíz. Nuestra casita fue muy confortable y un hermoso río atraviesa la propiedad, ideal para nadar y bañarse! ¡Muchísimas gracias a Omero, Alfredo, Anita, Arbey y Doña Vale por esta estancia inolvidable a su lado!

Ole was a pleasure to have stay with us - he was such fun. Great sense of humour and did so many varied jobs for us. He loved the animals and Although we could never master how to pronounce his name, he forgave us time and time again 🤣 Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to other hosts.

We had an amazing experience at Rocío and Huáscar’s home. We met the whole family and were treated as if we had always belonged there. Peru was very good to me, and I enjoyed every day we spent there in Chanchamayo. The people there are friendly and relaxed, and we never felt rushed. The cultural exchange was very enjoyable. We stayed for only two weeks, and during that time we cut, measured, and used bamboo to build fences. We also shoveled a lot of dirt to fix up an area of the property. We took pictures and videos of an event there as well. We were always surrounded by great people like Don José, Mama Carmen, and Valencia. We ate three times a day, had a good laugh every day, and had the chance to share Mexican food with them a couple of times. We wish we could have stayed longer, but it was the end of our trip. We definitely need to come back again.

Laurane and William came and spent 10 days helping us with our house cleaning and gardenig project. They were great help and assisted us with many tasks. Laurane has a very sweet, caring nature and is very detailed, conscious and committed to any task we gave her. She helped us so much with cleaning and always had a positive lovely attitude which was so great! William helped with outdoors and gardnening tasks, and helped us a lot with progressing the many tasks we needed to get done. He has a calm and kind nature which was very easy to get along with. They are a very sweet couple who are currently travelling the world. Thank you so much Laurane and William, it was a pleasure to meet you both!
