!!!WANTED: we are looking for somebody who will be able to help with our garden, housewok and wood in spring 2026 !!!
Welcome to our watermill home near Prague!
We’re a family of four living in a charming old watermill just outside the city, and we love meeting kind people from around the world. We’re looking for volunteers who can help us with gardening, small house projects, and a bit of childcare.
You’ll stay in a cozy private studio flat just 5 minutes from our home, with a kitchen, bathroom, balcony, and shops and restaurants nearby. Trains to Prague run every 30 minutes and take only 25 minutes to the center.
We offer breakfast and lunch, we speak English and Chinese. In your free time, enjoy nature, explore the city, or take a canoe trip right from our riverbank!
We welcome individuals, couples, friends, and even families. If you're friendly, helpful, and curious, we’d love to host you!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
There are many cultural events, places to socialise in our town. Prague, the capital city, is really close and easy to reach. We will be happy to instruct you how to come to our house from the airport or so.
We hope to exchange different cultural habits and make some new friends.
You can easily travel from Prague to a different cities in and out of the Czech Republic (Kutna Hora, Karlovy Vary, Brno, Cesky Krumlov etc.), for example Dresden (Germany), Vienna (Austria), Bratislava (Slovakia), Budapest (Hungary). We will be happy to help you with your traveling plans.

Help
In general, we will appreciate your help from Monday to Friday for about 4-5 hours a day and we serve breakfast and lunch.
We will be happy if you could watch the kids - Rozárie (born in November 2021) and Viktorie (born in January 2025). Also, we will be glad if you could do some gardening and help around the house. There is always some wood to be cut and chopped.

We have two kids, girls at the age of 3 and 0. It will be awesome if you could teach our older daughter English or Chinese.
Accommodation
We offer a studio apartment just 5 minutes far from our house. It is fully equipped. There are two single beds. You will find a possibility to cook in the kitchen, enjoy a balcony and there is a shower with a toilet in the bathroom. If you need to do your laundry, there is a washing machine. The flat is situated on the first floor of a 4 floor apartment building just in the centre of our town. There is no AC in the flat and we will tell you WIFI password. A pharmacy is a floor lower and the nearest restaurant is about 250m far, supermarket is just round the corner. It ia about 5 minutes far from from the river to enjoy walking along the river where you can enjoy watching sunrise or sunset. You can find the pictures of the flat in the photos here. We expect you to clean up the flat before you leave.
What else ...
You will find forest if you cross a river just 5 minutes far from our house. The flat for you is in the city centre and Prague is 25minutes far by train.
Therea are many cultural events and sport possibilities in our town of about 14 .000 inhabitants.
We can lend you our bikes to explore the area around our house and we can lend you our boat to enjoy the river.
We will appreciate if you do not use your mobile phones during breakfast and lunch and when you watch our kids.
UPDATE: we are fully booked for May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December, January 2026 and a part of February!
