Description
Travel has always been a conversation in our house whilst growing up as that’s how my parents met. As a family we’ve done bits of travelling throughout my teenage years to China when I was 12 and 14 for my parents jobs, working our way around the country with them and my two younger sisters. I’ve been travelling solo for the past few years through Europe, South East Asia and Australia, especially in Spain trying to pick up the language.
I’m now looking for a more conscious style of travel where I can be more involved in communities so I can learn and give back as much as possible. I’ve recently had a sparked interest in/passion for Gardening and the power of plants so would love to learn more about things like permaculture, herbalism and even just about basic growing and caring for plants. I’d like to work my way towards living sustainably (maybe even live off grid my self one day) so I am keen to visit places where people have made this work for them and understand the logistics of creating this kind of life style. I’ve done workaway-style stays where I’ve helped farms with harvesting and pruning, as well as doing some basic wood working - helping some friends with preparing their sailboat - but I’m definitely looking to learn skills rather than arriving with lots under my belt. The majority of work I’ve done in the past has been hospitality based meaning I know how to communicate with and treat people. I’m also an efficient worker and I enjoy being kept busy and at a fast pace.
I taught myself to playing guitar when I was younger and more recently, to speak Spanish which has sparked an interest in South and Central America. I’m in the rather early stages of learning Spanish and I’m keen to improve my skills by surrounding myself in the language. I’m also focused on my self growth, trying to better myself as a person and learn who I am as I feel very new to the world still. I want to work on travelling solo and sustainably, giving back to communities I visit, meeting new people, learning from them and learning new skills, practical or creative.

I’m learning to speak Spanish and have been playing guitar for a couple of years. I love making music, being outside, swimming, cycling, discovering new places, mindsets and ways of being!
