Dear Tim, thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words – they truly mean a lot to us. From the very beginning, it was clear that you were not just “another helper,” but someone genuinely interested, curious, and open to learning. Your motivation to speak German and to understand the culture was something very special – and honestly, your German is excellent. You made it easy and enjoyable to communicate, and that is not something we take for granted. You worked independently, reliably, and with a great sense of responsibility. Especially with the clothes, you were a huge help – and you made a real difference. And we must say: you are also a wonderful cat-sitter. The cats clearly approved – and that says a lot. You set the bar very high for future helpers… maybe even a little too high 😉 You definitely spoiled us. But more than that – you were simply a pleasure to have around. Easygoing, respectful, and always willing to learn and contribute. You will always be very welcome here. Not just as a Workawayer, but as part of the family. Take care, keep your curiosity alive, and we hope to see you soon again. Also Jackie ist more than welcome in our home. Warm regards, Kerstin & Carsten PS: All the books are waiting for you!!!

Maruschka was a wonderful part of our team during her stay. She is warm, thoughtful, and very attentive to the people around her. She naturally cares about the well-being of others and brings a calm, positive energy to the space. She works very well in a team and collaborates smoothly with other volunteers, but she is also perfectly capable of working independently when needed. One thing that stood out was her ability to observe where support was needed in the organization. She often noticed areas that could be improved and proactively suggested ideas, then worked together with others to make them happen. Her execution is strong and reliable. When she commits to a task, she follows through with care and responsibility. I’m very grateful for her help during this period. Maruschka brought not only practical support but also a really beautiful energy to the team. Any host would be lucky to welcome her.

Oh boy where do I even start... My stay with Greg was just incredible. From the very beginning he always made sure I felt comfortable and safe, he was always kind and respectful and welcomed me into his home with great energy, genuine interest and a relaxed attitude. Which I, especially as a solo female traveler, appreciate greatly. During my stay we connected, shared meals, practiced yoga, had great conversations and worked on the property together. The jungle property is just incredibly beautiful. From feeding wildlife, looking for semi-precious stones, checking the perimeter to garden and landscaping work... my experience was rewarding both because I was surrounded by lush greenery but also because of Greg's positive attitude. The accommodation is very comfortable, with everything you need after a day of working. I especially loved how we connected through yoga and our shared love for Thai and Indian cuisine. Greg was very kind and showed me lots of interesting movies and definitely sharpened my knowledge of cinema! :) Thank you Greg for this amazing opportunity to slow down, be in nature, contribute, learn and simply be human.

Our time with Mario and Melissa was so wonderful. We truly can't say enough good things about the whole family and the work we did. We helped cob the new living room on their beautiful land, and they were thourough and supportive when it came to giving instructions and showing us the process. They have three amazing dogs and other super cute animals that you will love spending with. The land itself and the surrounding areas are ideal for spending time in nature. We truly felt like part of the family and will always cherish our time on the farm.

I would like to start by thanking you Steve for the opportunity to stay in such a wonderful place. San Agustín is a very prosperous land, and your farm is full of potential. Thank you so much, Thanks for your warm welcome, for the space you provided, and for your kindness toward my partner and me. I would also like to send a special greeting to your children...they are very intelligent, very sweet, and I wish them all the best always. Regarding the activities I carried out during the volunteer experience, they were quite varied. I mainly focused on cleaning tasks, and I can say that the accommodations were very good. Blankets are available, which is great since the area can get a bit cold. If you’re planning to go, I recommend bringing appropriate clothing for the weather, as well as work clothes. As I mentioned at the beginning, it is a farm with a lot of potential, but it also requires strong commitment and, above all, a willingness to work, since there are many areas where wonderful things are being built. I truly hope your experience there will be just as amazing as mine was. Steve, nuevamente gracias y muchas bendiciones para tu vida. 🤗💝

My stay with Antje and her family was lovely. From the moment I arrived, Antje made me feel at home and I had dinner with her family. The bedroom I stayed in was also nice and clean. I ended up staying for only a week because I had to return home early for work, but I still had a great time. During my (short) stay, I helped Antje sort through some boxes she had stored away, cleaned around the house, and carried hay and wood. For each task she always checked if I was happy doing it or if I would prefer something else, which I really appreciated. Most of the time we actually worked together. We had good conversations but we were mainly just unserious the whole time. During family dinners we also laughed a lot. Outside of work there was plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful area. I visited Haderslev twice and went to several thrift stores. Antje and her family also took me to a beautiful beach. I'll have to visit again to see the local beaches, which are supposed to be even more beautiful.

Takumi surprised us right from the beginning with his politeness and modesty, which laid the foundation for good communication and helped him adapt to both the language and the new environment. Takumi is exceptionally determined and able to learn and acquire new skills and work methods with enviable determination, creating connections for himself and trying to understand the logic of things. As a result, he quickly adapted to the daily work and routine of the sled dog kennel and found solutions that worked for him for different stages of work. Since Takumi was always interested in everything being done correctly and things running flawlessly, in a fairly short time it was obvious that he was deeply committed and willing to take responsibility. His role in our sled dog kennel was not just that of an assistant, but he was successfully able to take care of the entire kennel operation alone while we were away on the races. It’s a big responsibility, but Takumi never showed any hesitation and he coped brilliantly. All of his daily tasks were imbued with a sense of order and care, as if he were doing it all for himself, as if he were the owner. This kind of attitude is a very rare occurrence in our workaway practice, and we are extremely happy to have had the opportunity to meet Takumi and be his companion on this stage of his journey. Kristina said that thanks to Takumi she can finally cook good sushi rice! Takumi is exellent in cooking and also very creative – with limited ingredients he could prepare delicious meal. Kristina really enjoyed the talks about Estonia and Japan. Also hiking with Takumi and sharing moments at the qualification event to international folklore festival Baltica. Takumi were always curious about everything, always smiling and never complaining – even not about our cold winter and long hours outside. Pretty sure that his next workaway host will be very happy, cos he really are a dream-workawayer! You are always welcome back, Takumi! We will never forget you. Keep in touch...

This 2 weeks with Thomas and dogs was beautiful. So much shared moments, conversations, beautiful meals, all of that with a wonderful flexibility with needs of everyone. If you want to share authenticity and discover Puglia in the country side, this is the right place you can contribute to :) Thank you Thomas for everything, see you soon 💙

Having Lucas over at our farm was a real joy. He was very easy-going, open to conversation, open to silence, to gardening, to shovelling dirt, to the kids, to anything really. Watching him dedicate his time and skill to DIY projects (even with limited materials) was a great passtime ;) Never demanding and always grateful, he was a great person to be a host to.

I had the pleasure to host Alberto for some time, and it was a delight. He was good with Zelda on lots of walks, he was good and playful with the kids and he was great in helping with renovation, saw milling, wood plaining, planting, etc. He took everything on with a big smile and and a big yes let go... I hope he will find his way back here another time.

This was our first Workaway experience and we can truly say it was a perfect start. Fiona and Manu are amazing hosts: kind, welcoming, and very hardworking. Fiona always explained the tasks clearly and was happy to teach us new things and answer any questions. During our 11 days with them, we helped with different activities such as painting, gardening, building a chill area, and small house repairs. Crete, especially Kissamos, is a beautiful place to explore, with stunning beaches, mountains, and breathtaking landscapes. They also gave us great tips on what to see and do, and kindly lent us their e-bikes, which became our main way of getting around the island. Manu took the time to explain everything to us, which we really appreciated. One of the highlights was definitely lunchtime: after work, they always cooked delicious meals for us. It was a special moment of sharing, and we loved trying traditional Greek dishes. The house we stayed in is a little paradise, with a beautiful terrace and an amazing view — perfect for unforgettable breakfasts. We really hope to come back again soon!

What a beautiful experience it was to volunteer here! Whether you stay for 1 month or 3 ;), you are welcomed as family right away by staff and other workawayers. Probably best workaway experience in terms of accommodation and food. No need to worry about anything, do the work that is asked and have an abundance of free time to enjoy your hobbies, hikes and nature. The view from terrace is breathtaking and never gets old. SO SO GOOD experience, I highly reccomend. Not only for the views but for the memories and famiglia that is made when spending so much time with people. This place will pull you back like a riptide ✌️💙 Grazie mille 🫶

Emma and Robbie, first of all thank you thank you thank you! We had an amazing experience at the farm and words could not describe how wonderful your place and you company was. We met such incredible people and animals! We really Miss Malpe and Reggie and even the chickens. For me this was my first Workaway and I could have not chosen a better place where to start. The work load was more than fair and well distributed based on everyone preferences, this was a very nice thing. and we also had the chance to do a road trip around the beautiful Tasmania. I could talk about this experience forever and still would not be enough to explain the joy and the gratitude i have towards these people. thank you again and wish you all the best 🫶🏻

I spent about three weeks at Kal and Zineb's farm, and I really liked my stay there! It was in a place that was so different from what I'm used to with a gorgeous view of the Atlas mountains. I'll always remember the great conversations about spirituality, Zineb's stories and legends, playing with Issah (and his bottomless energy!) and that absolutely delicious sheep tagine that Kal made for us. Overall, if you're in the area and love art, spirituality of any form and kids, you should definitely send them a message!
