    Description

Engaging in a diverse array of activities, including publication, cultural and historic tours, treasure hunts, community workshops, and immersive travel experiences in Keelung, is a key in our sustainable program. This initiative is designed to aid our hometown in cultivating a distinctive identity and fostering awareness among locals. Our primary objective is to draw more people to explore and embrace the authentic Taiwan that just a 30-minute away from central Taipei.

In addition, we actively participate in the documentation of the oral history to safeguard its rich cultural heritage. Collaborating with various local community development associations, we curate and execute historic and art exhibitions. Moreover, we organize public events to champion cultural and artistic endeavors, contributing to the vibrancy and identity of Keelung.

In 2026, our work focuses on hands-on production rather than observation.
    Volunteers may participate in:

Building and improving digital platforms (website, AR, treasure hunt system)

Producing short-form videos, photos, audio, and publications

Preparing exhibitions, spatial installations, and prototypes

Supporting tours, language exchange events, and community activities

We’ve also built an active local language exchange community, so if you’re looking for regular language practice, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to easily connect and interact with local people! • What else ...

    What else ...

Jiufen, Yeliuyan Coast, Pingxi, and other famous tourist attractions are within easy reach. Here you can explore Keelung’s beautiful coast, outdoor activities, and natural scenery.
Keelung City is different from the prosperous Taipei. It has a unique charm, but it is also known for its frequent rain. Due to global warming, the weather patterns have become more unpredictable. If you are someone who is sensitive to weather conditions or require long periods of sunlight to maintain your mood, we recommend considering other options, as the climate here can be challenging at times.

Please maintain good personal hygiene and cleanliness in shared spaces, ensure that shared spaces are neat and orderly, and follow specific cleaning guidelines provided by the host.
