Thank you, Christine, for all the work you’ve put in. You’re someone who works really hard, enjoys seeing what needs to be done, and is happy to keep going a little longer because you want to get it finished. Christine has seen a lot of the world and always has a story to tell. Thank you for your help.

Hi François Thank you for everything. The days I shared with you are my best memories. Every task was new to me, but you taught me so kindly every time. Here is the work I did ・Brushing the walls with sandpaper ・Painting the walls with concrete/plaster ・Helping in the garden Every meal you made was so delicious that I almost couldn't stop eating! Haha. And the bread you bought at the bakery near the house was also amazing. When I was free, I walked around the house. There are some beautiful sights. During my holidays, I went to Namur and Brussels on my own. Both were so good. But my best memory was talking and working with you. Sometimes you told me about Belgian history and politics. It was so interesting! I was very happy to learn from you. We also enjoyed teaching each other English and Japanese. It was truly fun (majide tanoshikatta)! It was a great week. See you again in Japan or Belgium! Rozu

Juan Felipe è una persona molto attenta e affidabile, con la quale il confronto è prezioso. Se lo scambio libero e disinteressato è alla base dell'esperienza workaway, con Juan Felipe tutto è stato facile e, soprattutto, costruttivo. Grazie !

Bill and Jan were amazing host. They were very friendly and warm, I felt included, and they offered me to join many cultural event where they were going to. I quickly felt part of the family, and they managed many things to offer me opportunites. Morever, they were very respectful about the voluntering, always checking with me if the task were ok for me. We had nice and fun discussion. So at the end, everything was there to make it a really great and lovely experience. Thank you again and more :).

I am very grateful that I got the oppertunity to stay with this wonderful family and I would absolutely recommend them. I spent about two months with them and I really enjoyed my time there. They always looked out for me, checking that I was feeling comfortable with the work I was doing and that I had everything I needed. My main tasks were shoveling the snow, cleaning up the kitchen, tidying the living room and vacuuming. Sometimes I would also brush the dogs or play with Laurel, the happiest baby ever. The other two kids Jasperna and River are also super fun to be around. On the weekends they would often do some activities with me, like skiing, snowmobiling or visiting the hot springs. They also offered me a ride whenever they went to the Canada Games Center (a big sports center there) or when I planned something like going dog sledding. The studio in their backyard is beautiful and very comfortable. They have a very clear structure and tell you exactly what they expect of you. I find that really nice. Thanks to them I truly got to experience everything that the Yukon winter has to offer.

Zille and Bertil from Denmark stayed a week at our farm. They are a great team working well together. They took care of the chicken and ducks well, observing if any seem unwell and was prompt to inform of sick chicken which died. They helped keep the garden and farm well. We took them to our local small mosque to experience iftar or breaking of fast together with the other villagers. It was a pleasure hosting them and I would welcome them back anytime. Do consider them if you are looking for some good help..!

Hello Giacomo, I had a fantastic 2 weeks. This experience is a must-do. It helps you understand how Buddhism can be useful in your everyday life. I thank everyone for taking care of me even when I was sick! I had the opportunity to do different jobs and learn something from each of them. Thank you, Claire, for always being available and kind to all of us! I hope I also gave and left a small contribution. Highly recommended experience :))) ❤️

I feel incredibly lucky that I got to stay with Naomi & her family - especially for almost 3 months. I felt so comfortable and cared for - Naomi is an absolute powerhouse in all areas of her life & very nurturing, considerate and thoughtful, the boys are so warm and welcoming and Anton's always ready to help where/when needed! Truly generous people you can talk to & have great chats about life with and come to if you need advice or help with literally anything. I always felt welcome to join them but also not pressured to when I needed down-time. The house / location is beautiful, the food is insanely good, the work is very simple and straightforward and overall I had the feeling that it was a balanced and mutual exchange of energy and efforts! I have many lovely memories here and only good things to say about my time here. I don't think you could wish for a better workaway experience. As long as you're prepared to feel a bit heartbroken when it's time to move on. :') So very grateful!

It was an absolute joy hosting Aisha. When she first arrived she housesat for us for three days while we went hiking. We came home to everything taken care of, a beautiful meal and a gorgeous new mural! She was always upbeat, keen to get stuck into projects, proactive and great company. Aisha was keen to work on a mosaic project and worked with my mum to create the most beautiful circular mosaic for our outdoor dining area. We really loved having her here and would absolutely recommend her to any future hosts

Paul stayed a few days at Nurrewin helping me prepare the property to be safer for the bushfire season. He is very fit and energetic and worked very efficiently cleaning and raking around the house. He also took the initiative to paint a new set of stairs and did a great job. He is lovely company to have around. Having travelled widely, he has many rich and fascinating stories and experiences to share. I would happily welcome him back anytime..

Our stay here was a true delight. We got to do every step of the coffee making process; from planting to roasting. We ate delicious food morning, noon, and night. We got to be a part of their family for two weeks. We even got to attend a wedding in town for two days! We miss everyone there and definitely want to come back someday. ✨💖✨

I spent 3.5 amazing weeks at Lyn's home. It was actually my first stop in New Zealand and I'm really glad that it was. Her place felt like a home away from home and it was a great place to settle down for a while. I got over my jet-lag and lived more of a quiet life over those weeks in the small Omakau. The work I did at Lyn's teached me new things, especially about gardening, and the hours I did were more than fair. The work also varied every day, which I loved. Dottie was also one of the great things at Lyn's. She made my days brighter and I got all the cuddles I could ever need from her. Lyn herself was always really kind and went out of her way to make me feel welcome at her place. She made delicious food, took me to the bank when I needed it and introduced me to the famous Jack's pies. All in all, I had a great experience and would reccommend other people to volunteer here:)

I was visiting Amma for almost two weeks and it was really nice experience. She is very interesting person and excellent chief, so you will enjoy every meal. Work was flexible and really appreciated. You could use a bicycle to go to the beach, and she likes to show and advice you on interesting places. Nature in the property is totally unique, it feels like staying in the middle of the jungle, lots of trees birds and monkeys. Thanks again for a great workaway.

My half-month stay at this eco-project in the Yucatan felt like a gift from the Cosmos. It was less like a work exchange & more like a soul tribe community where I truly belong. From the moment I arrived—bringing the heavy rains of Canada to the sun-drenched landscape—I felt as if I knew my hosts, Uli & Victoria (another name for Thais), from the past. They were a blessing, treating me like my own parents or relatives & sharing soulful conversations over delicious Latin American meals. As a volunteer, I found great purpose in the diverse tasks offered each day. I stayed focused on wall scraping & painting, pruning, weeding, planting trees, filtering soil, collecting rain water, & uncovering a huge ancient rock I named the 'Moon Rock.' Every hour was spent productively. Learning hands-on fencing & adapting to the heat—sustained by refreshing well water—was a masterclass in resilience. I also cherished learning how to care for their dog, Corina, & discussing my digital artwork with them. I honestly wish I could have stayed longer to offer more of my support, despite the fact I often whole-heartedly offered many extra working hours. I believe, the integration of sustainability with the village’s archaeological history is both marvelous & inspiring. Seeing this project receive praise from local government clerks proves it is a vital model for the future of sustainable living in Mexico. I leave with great wishes, hoping destiny enables me to revisit this sacred site. As I will forever cherish the 'village life' & the pressure-free environment Uli & Victoria have created. They are good friends I will remember forever. I highly recommend this experience to any kind volunteer who arrives with sincere intentions & a desire to connect with nature on a profound level.

Thank you Mike (and Billy) for making my stay at this workaway so memorable! I stayed at here for 3 weeks (originally was supposed to be 2 weeks but Mike was very accommodating with the change of plans). The food was great and so was the accommodation. There's great views from the house too. Billy (his schnauzer mix dog) was so fun to be around as I really missed my dogs at home. On off days Mike was so good to give recommendations around Whangarei and Onerahi and also tips with the buses / hitchhiking around as I didn't have a car. He also gave good ideas for the rest of my New Zealand trip. The work was fairly varied, from garden work to DIY. I helped weeding some invasive plant species and mulching a path in the forest. Another big job we did was wood staining the exterior of the house. Also helped with some filling/sanding the walls for the garage renovation! I learnt so much about the flora of New Zealand which Mike is very knowledgeable of. It's so impressive how he is mimicking the natural regeneration of a forest but speeding up the process by weeding/planting strategically. He even let us plant one tree before we left (for our legacy here!) I can't wait to see where this project goes in the future, Best of luck!!
