Hi!
My name is Aisha, I'm 23 years old and gearing up to be living out of my van on a 6 month road trip to relocate from SA to QLD, making lots of stops along the way! I'm a seasoned workawayer, but haven't done an exchange in over a year, so am ready to get back into the community.
I will try my hand at basically anything and am an eager student to new things. I'm particularly interested in any opportunities to deepen my art practice at the moment, but am open to all things environmental, spiritual, artistic and community-based. In my free time I love gardening, going hiking, reading, seeing live music and immersing myself in local arts and culture. I have been working as a nature-based educator for the past few years, running excursions for children- so I am a particularly resourceful babysitter.
Amidst finishing up my studies in Environmental Policy and Management I have been solo travelling across Europe (where I made some amazing workaway friends and memories) and more recently through Madagascar and Sri Lanka too. So I am good in my own company but really love meeting new people and sharing stories over a meal, board game, or around a campfire.
I'm excited to set off on this new adventure soon and to get back into workawaying! I look forward to hearing from you 🤸🏼♀️

I am an artist, mostly practising in watercolour and pastels. I have dreams of trying my hand at a mural or a mosaic project. I have keen attention to detail and will put lots of passion into any projects involving beautifying/creating/decorating.
I am very experienced in working with children of all ages, I run excursions for a nature-based play organisation. With the children, we do cubby building, magic potions, watercolours, clay play and more. I have also volunteered in kindergartens and done lots of babysitting. I love spending time with children and would be grateful to continue to play and learn alongside them on my travels.
I am in my element out in nature, so anything that involves working outside under the sun is perfect! Gardening in particular is something I love. If you have a permaculture project I would be especially interested in helping out and learning more about that!
I am handy around the house, having done lots of housesitting and having lived independently for many years. I enjoy cooking (predominantly vegetarian) and am happy to help in preparing meals.
Finally, I am well versed in working with animals, whether it be collecting eggs, feeding goats or walking dogs, I have no problem looking after any non-human friends you may have!
Overall, I bring a willingness and excitement to learn and help with whatever it is you want a hand with!
