Description
Hello Fellow wonderful workawayers!
I am so grateful to this community and all of the friendships I have made and the continued assistance I have received. At the moment I have a few more projects on my land, and would LOVE to hear from you if you have interest and experience in any of the following:
-garden help / Permaculture, maintenance of banana circles, pruning trees, planting, maintaining the grounds
-construction/ carpentry/ working with Bamboo/ creating simple composting toilet
-Love for pets and simple slow jungle living
-Experience in OR a desire to teach English (3x per week 1 hr in my village)
- Experience living in conscious Eco Communities: desire to create community
I am located on the outskirts of an incredible small Costa Rican village… for those of you seeking authenticity in your travels. If you have other workshops that you would like to offer to the locals I am also open to that. I am all about creating a circular community here, and also want to live this way on my land.
Are a photographer traveling with a drone? I would LOVE to have help with new photos for my website/ of my wellness based bed and breakfast.
Also looking for website help... can be paid as well depending on experience etc.
Also seeking an independent individual or a couple to house sit: May - June
With gratitude,
Amma

Ok here is a very short part of my dynamic story:
After years of volunteering and doing workaway all over the world (Colombia, Cambodia, Italy, Philippines, Brazil, Tasmania... so many wonderful humans have hosted me over the years and so I feel called to offer that back to the universe as a THANK YOU to all those whom hosted me!
I now have decided to grow some roots here on a beautiful piece of land in the Osa Peninsula of the magnificent Costa Rica. I am a yoga teacher, Ayurvedic counselor, herbalist, WATAflow therapist, and an active travel guide for an international tour company. My intention is to create a healing space for myself and for others to come visit, to get in-touch with themselves and their true nature through learning about meditation, yoga and Ayurveda.
I am not open and running yet, but I am in the final stages of making this dream come true, so if you have a desire to come help reach out!
ARTISTS with experience painting large murals welcome as well... I am open to designing some beautiful walls in the house and not just painting.
ALSO ALWAYS seeking help with permaculture, both design and execution. So many things... living on my own in the jungle means that there is always ways in which help can be received. Thank you for reading... Sending love and light, I hope you enjoy your time and have a beautiful experience volunteering in Costa Rica!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I live in a small village that is around 300 people. If you are looking to practice your Spanish this is a wonderful opportunity as I am the only foreigner that resides here at the moment. There are often pick up soccer games in the afternoon, and the locals gather as well on Sundays for bingo, food and other fundraisers. It truly is a great example of a traditional Costa Rican village, and I feel so grateful to have been welcomed into it.
I also work with different healing modalities, and would be happy to share more with you as a volunteer if it aligns.
Help
Hello Beautiful Souls... Thank you for taking the time to read this. In 2022 I decided to grow some roots, opening up my home and sanctuary Rooted in Love. The long term vision is to have other like minded healers/ individual conscious humans living on this land with me. I have been finishing buildings and creating a small wellness based bed and breakfast in the jungle. My desire is to help others connect to their divinity and remember their true nature through teachings of Ayurveda and Tantra. If you are looking to rent and stay somewhere long term.. . This might be a good fit for you.
The property has a beautiful reforested area with multiple cacao, banana, papaya, mamon chino and other fruit trees. The property also has a healing temple space which is used for meditation, yoga, massage, teaching, and sharing of other medicines. The temple also has a sauna and steam room, with a plunge tub and outdoor shower. In order to use these facilities( the sauna and steam room) You must let me know first so I can set them up for you.

Accommodation
You would have your own room and bathroom. Brand new very good quality queen mattress as well :) If for some reason the room is not available because I have other visitors, You would be in a tent on a comfy twin bed, in a large covered space separate from the house but out of the rain, or you can sleep in the jungle on the new roofed platform that was built for massage therapy/ meditation! .
I will provide vegetarian food for you, fruit for breakfast and a simple Ayurvedic lunch. I am happy to cook or give you access to the kitchen to make your own meals. There are no restaurants in town, or grocery stores, but transportation will be provided via bike to the nearby village to get what is needed to make your stay comfortable.
If you are partaking in a stay when I am not here and doing a house sitting exchange you are expected to purchase all of your own food. I will take care of the bills, electricity, internet, gas, and water.
What else ...
There is endless hiking trails as well as MTB trails around. Nature observation is probably my favorite thing to partake in though. Birds, monkeys, and the occasional 4 legged creature can be spotted. There is a butterfly conservation down the road, and guided tours into the national park happen daily if that is something you would prefer.
I have MTN bikes that I rent to the guests that are here, and am happy to share them with you if they are free!
I dont drink alcohol, or smoke cigarattes and would ask that you as a volunteer also respected this rule. This home and space are tools for healing and connection to self through nature and alcohol disrupts that connection.

Loved her cooking and inspirations, so I stayed longer and in these 3 weeks I was able to work on some of her building projects.
Amma is a wonderful human who cares for her volunteers very well. I stayed with her for about 2 weeks while we built a bamboo structure on her property. We had a tight timeline so we worked a bit extra, but the exchange was fair and the communication was top notch. I was able to learn a lot during this project… read more
