Denise and Winz were a true blessing for us! Although she was initially supposed to stay for only one week, we were thrilled that she chose to extend her stay to two months. She worked right alongside us and helped us tremendously, especially with painting, where she showed great patience and skill. Denise is the kind of volunteer who doesn't just do the job but puts her heart into every corner she touches. Having her and Winz around brought such positive energy to our place; the fact that they wanted to stay longer because they felt so at home was the best compliment we could receive. Winz is a wonderful, well-behaved dog who fit in perfectly. They were a huge help to us, and they are welcome back anytime. Anyone who hosts them will be truly lucky

Aisling was with me for a month. She was such a great help! She is cheerful, easy to be with, up for any task and is a hard worker. Her main tasks were picking up horse muck, helping move logs, and piling firewood. I really appreciated our conversations and time together. I hope to see her again and strongly recommend her to anyone.

Jana was an excellent help around the home. She fulfilled all requested tasks and was very pleasant to have in our busy home. Jana is an excellent piano player, too, so we enjoyed her music. She involved herself in the life of our community and walked with our local walkers.

Notre séjour chez Ollivier et Colette était comme un rêve! Le petit déjeuner le matin, le travail varié et la gentillesse des deux étaient top! L'endroit est super calme et proche de la nature, ce qu'on a beaucoup apprécié. Les deux se sont adaptés à notre arrivé et en général nous ont soutenu dans l'organisation. Un vrai highlight était notre soirée allemande (et végétarienne ;) ) avec les autres workawaysers et les animaux et bien évidemment les séances de danse sauvage. Merci pour ce temps inoubliable! On peut que recommander un workaway chez Ollivier et Colette! <3

Definitivamente con Félix vivimos una experiencia de voluntariado muy bella. Sin duda lo volveríamos a recibir con mucho amor. Pudimos avanzar más allá del lenguaje, disfrutamos mucho durante los procesos de construcción que llevamos a cabo, pudimos sentir su buena energía e intención al co-crear con nosotros esos espacios. Félix es una persona muy trabajadora, comprometida y responsable, lo que nos llevo a concretar lo que comenzamos con él, Además, tiene una energía ligera y armónica que convierte largas estadías en una serie de momentos amenos y memorables, con risas, amor, aprendizaje y regocijo.

Helena trajo este lugar una energía muy cálida y positiva. La comunicación fue muy fluida y agradable en todo momento, con un muy buen balance entre trabajo, seriedad, flexibilidad y entretenimiento. El tiempo pasó muy rápido pero siento que su energía amorosa y responsable hubiesen permitido convivir un tiempo muy largo sin ningún tipo de problema y llevar a cabo todo tipo de actividades. Sin duda es un huésped que aportará con su energía y habilidades donde sea que esté! Muchas gracias por todo Helena y que tu camino siga abriéndose y que tus sueños se concreten :D

Louise and Jules were a real pleasure to host. They helped us with many different tasks and always brought a warm, positive, and friendly energy to our home. They carried the pruned olive branches, made firewood from the thicker parts, and helped burn the remaining pieces. We also went together to our olive groves in Manisa, spread fertilizer, and enjoyed a lovely picnic there. They helped with lavender planting, collected the drip irrigation pipes, and were always willing to support wherever needed. Beyond the work, we truly enjoyed sharing daily life with them. In the evenings, Louise played the piano, which brought a very special atmosphere to the house. She also gave us a beautiful watercolor painting of an olive tree, which was a very thoughtful and meaningful gift for our family. We also had a lot of fun teaching each other French and Turkish words, especially the ones we use most in daily life. Jules made us a delicious apple crumble, which we all enjoyed very much. We shared great conversations, meals, laughs, and family moments together. We also had a wonderful trip to Bergama and visited the Acropolis and the Asklepion, which made our time together even more memorable. They were kind, respectful, easy to live with, and a joy to have around. We are very happy we had the chance to host them and would gladly recommend them to any future host. 🤍❤️

This was, hands down, one of the best hosting experiences I’ve ever had. You are such a unique and colorful family, creating a space where anyone can truly be themselves without a hint of judgment or criticism. As a staunch supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, I was beyond happy to stay in a queer household and learn even more about this incredible community. On top of that, being a vegan myself, staying with a 100% vegan family (kids included!) was a delicious dream come true. It made everything feel so easy, tasty, and welcoming. The house is perfectly tucked away in a beautiful rural area near Cologne and Wuppertal. It’s incredibly peaceful, surrounded by nature, lakes, and kind-hearted people. The room I stayed in was huge, with a super comfortable double bed and plenty of space! honestly, I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect. Life with this lovely family is never boring. It didn't feel like "workaway" for a single moment, it felt like visiting close friends. The atmosphere is so warm and accepting that every evening, after the kids went to sleep, we’d just sit together, play board games, and relax. The communication was excellent, chores were always requested in such a kind way, and they were never difficult, just routine household help and spending time with the kids. It was clearly important to them that I always felt comfortable and, of course, well-fed! I had so much fun playing with the kids. Each one is so brilliant and creative in their own way. Yordanes An absolute ball of energy who loves climbing and drawing. Emma Such a sweet, sensitive, and gentle soul (and a fellow foodie, just like me! :p). And cute Little Adi, a brilliant girl who loves monsters and sword / sticks fighting. I definitely took a few hits to the head and arms during our "battles," but seeing how much she enjoyed the game made me forget the pain instantly. Anna, thank you so much for the fascinating conversations about Judaism and Israel. I really enjoyed trying to teach you some Hebrew and I truly hope you keep learning! Thank you for the incredible vegan meals you cooked and for introducing me to the best vegan spots around—my stomach is definitely going to miss you. Also your deep appreciation for Judaism really touched my heart. Jojo, thank you for the witty, cynical humor and our deep talks about spirituality. You are such an intelligent and funny person, and I learned so much from you. Also, your Rubik’s cube skills are the most impressive thing I’ve ever seen! Fleur, thank you for always making sure I had everything I needed. You have a heart of gold and such a beautiful spirit of giving. I truly admire that quality in people. I also had a blast pruning branches with you, you are a total ninja! Your climbing skills are insane! To me, you aren't just hosts anymore, you are my friends. I know we’ll stay in touch and meet again for more fascinating (and delicious) adventures. Thank you for everything! I miss you all already!!💚💚💚

Nicolas was a very nice person and a super good teacher of bachata. We had a very good experience with him as he is open-mind, funny and he shows us to play rol in family... The fact he speaks perfect english, french and german is very usefull for language immersion so... It was a great experience for the kids and also for us!!! He can come back whenever he wants... promise you a sunny experience!

We had the most wonderful time at Lucia and Ludovico‘s Workaway. The house is a beautiful, chic, rustic cat paradise surrounded by olive groves with lemon and orange trees in the garden. We felt very comfortable and at home here. We enjoyed watching the sunset and cosying up by the fire. We adored the six cats with all their quirks and unique personalities. They were a pleasure to take care of. It was hard to say goodbye to them. We did several great walks and sea swims along the stunning Salento coastline and we enjoyed trips into Otranto and Lecce. We rented a car which we would definitely recommend. Lucia and Ludovico were kind and generous hosts. They had us round to dinner several times and we had a great time getting to know them (and their five dogs!) over delicious food and wine. They gave us lots of tips for their local area and introduced us to their friends. Lucia was always available over WhatsApp if we needed anything. She has a heart of gold and gives her animals a lot of love. We hope we will cross paths again! X

Stefanie has been a true burst of enthusiasm, determination, and initiative during her time with us. She volunteered for over eight weeks, hosting activities such as braai nights, game nights, and movie nights, assisting at reception, and leading guests on hikes and market visits. She demonstrated excellent social skills, strong teamwork, and a genuine ability to connect with both guests and fellow volunteers. Stefanie brings a bright, positive energy wherever she goes and shows a real love for working hard and working with people. We believe that if she continues pursuing paths requiring these strengths, she will achieve whatever she sets her mind to. It was a pleasure having Stefanie as part of our team, and we highly recommend her.

Vito ist ein mega motivierter aufgestellter und kommunikativer junger Mann. Die Erinnerung an ihn lässt das Herz von uns allen hier höher schlagen. Er hat jede Aufgabe mit viel Interesse und Motivation gelöst. Die Kinder haben sich sehr gut mit ihm verstanden. Er kam zur Winterzeit und da ist das Leben hier rauer und ruhiger. Obwohl wir krank waren hat er immer sein bestes gegeben! Vito wir wünschen dir alles Gute und sind gespannt von dir zu hören! Wir hoffen wir sehen uns wieder!

I had an amazing experience on August’s farm. August is a wonderful person, great to collaborate with on tasks and someone you can learn so much from about Iceland and its culture. I truly enjoyed spending time with him and his family, and they make you feel like part of the family from the very beginning. The food was also incredible. I really enjoyed experiencing traditional Icelandic meals, which added so much to the whole stay. You will also have the chance to experience the majesty of Icelandic animals, with a complete sheep, cattle, and horse experience like no other. You will be surrounded by them every day, which makes the whole experience even more special. The absolute highlight for me was their dog Erro. He will become your best friend from the moment you arrive and he truly has the kindest soul you can ever meet. Tyra is just as lovely and sweet in her own way and I feel lucky to have spent time with both of them. I also had the chance to do plenty of traveling, as the location is ideal for exploring the country. I highly recommend this experience, and I am very grateful for everything. Thank you!

It was a super pleasant experience, good to have her around but as wellshe knew how to give space. Even though she came with not so much knowledge of gardening, she more then made that up with how fast she learned and adapted! Wish you many more great volunteer stays!! Safe travels!

We stayed 10 days with Ömür, Ayla, their sons (Deniz and Kuzey) and all their animals (we loved the puppies !!). It was a fantastic experience to help Ömür gardening, planting lavandas, taking care of olive trees (burning old olive branches, spreeding organic fertilizers). We also spend a great time during breakfast and dinners with all the super food made by Ayla (bass fish, pohaça, börek) and talking a lot after dinner about cultures, way of lifes... We also went to Pergama with Ömür and Ayla to visit the ancient site. It was only great memories !!

We hosted Pol for about 2 weeks in March and it was a great pleasure. A very polite, smiley, helpful guy, initially a bit shy but it was nice to be able to discover him over the days! With the rest of the group (in which he integrated very well!!) we cleaned terraces, moved and cut wood, prepared the vegetable garden to plant the new summer vegetables and he has always also helped with the daily tasks after the meals. In addition to the work, it was very nice to to walk and climb together to discover our Liguria and to know a bit more about each other lives. Gracias Pol, Hasta pronto!!

This was a very good experience! Living at a monastery for 2 weeks is something I never thought I would do, and probably won't have the opportunity to do again. The communication is clear, the tasks are quite straight forward for most of them, not very long during the day so you have plenty of time to explore the monastery, the museum... They provide the dorm, 3 meals a day (and the food is VERY GOOD), plenty of snacks. Thank you for this experience!

I'm so grateful I got to spend two months with this amazing family, love them so much!! I had a great time with them all. Kate is an incredible person, Lila is so silly and funny, Sacha is brilliant ;) AND the dogs are the cutest, Chapo and Rosie are completely different so you need to be good with dogs but they were so great. Plans changed a few times but Kate made sure I felt comfortable and we always found the way to make it work for everyone. Highly appreciated. I got to live in SF, Napa, Novato... I need to go back to keep exploring CA!😜 Overall it was a dream experience and I cannot recommend this family enough!! Feel free to reach out if you are considering staying with them :)
