    Description

Hello, my name is Agust and I live in a farm in the south of Iceland. On the farm with me lives also my son Jón 19 year a old, daughter Kolbrá 22 years a old and then daughter Álfheiður 12 years a old comes every other weekend. I have 2 other older daughters Hildur and Elísabet and 5 grandchildren. In another house on the farm lives Timo (who was working here some years ago and now lives here with his wife and sons and works as a carpenter).

The help is mostly about helping around the house and cooking sometimes. There is also some farm work like feeding the cattle's and sheep's. There might also be some general maintenance tasks around the farm, especially in summer. The help is quite versatile and flexible.

We have a car that the "workers" can use if they want to go to town or maybe do some sightseeing, I am very keen that the people who come here experience the beautiful landscape that is around us

I have had a lot of people come here and stayed with us through the years. People from all over the world and we are still in good contact.

We have cattles, sheeps and horses. The cattles are around 200, the number of calfs every time is various. The cattle work is easy and fun and I mostly take care of them. In summer we have horses inside, but we do not require that you are into horseback riding but if you are interested you can try to ride. The sheeps are outside over the summertime and come inside in the autumn, over the autumn and winter the sheeps stay inside and we feed them 2x a day.

I work outside all day almost, working on fields and another stuff connected to the farm work. So I would require a help around the houses, taking care of some laundry, doing some house tasks and keeping the houses tidy.

I offer wages for hours worked.

If any questions please don't hesitate to send me a line.

You can do what you want with your time off and we can help you to find some hobby or something to do. There are many interesting things to do here in Iceland. We would require that you have driving licence so you can drive around, we live 10 km from the next village and about 110 km from Reykjavik. We live very close to amazing nature and view such as Eyjafjallajökull, Vík, Skógarfoss, Seljalandsfoss etc.
