  We are a family home looking for help around the house and garden, a home project and at times sitting for our 9-year-old twins. Help includes laundry, light cleaning, and cooking if you're able. We are experienced HelpXer over many years and love the cultural exchange and learning that comes with having travellers in our home. Our village a beach and mountain community is 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver ilocated on the stunning Sea to Sky highway

  We are an international family - South African/British living in Canada. We have ourselves travelled widely and enjoy sharing the cultures and experiences of our international travellers. We live in a cosmopolitan city and entertain frequently.
  
  There is so much to do in our local area with walks, the beach and natural environment in close promximity. The local walking group walks on Monday and i am a member of another couple of hiking groups. There is a bus at the bottom of our road for transport or poparide have been used very successfully by our previous guests.

  Help

  WE've had helpers on another platform previously work on a one-off project but largely involves support around the house and garden and at times sitting for our 9-year-old twins. Help around the home includes laundry, light cleaning, and cooking if you're able. My daughter wants to make a cosy girl hideaway so this could be our current project. Initiative and a can-do attitude are essentials and an ability to meld in with busy family life

  Our home has beautiful views from every room as our home overlooks the Howe Sound. You will be housed either in the guest bedroom (sharing the family bathroom) with beautiful views. Alternatively if we have guests, there is the possibility of being housed in our recreation room with a TV, a separate bathroom and a lounge area. (the latter is a comfortable inflatable double bed). Our community is a 15 minute walk from the local beach with trails on our doorstep.
  
  We can accommodate vegetarians (as my daughter is vegetarian ) but not any other food preferences. We eat healthily and cook from scratch every evening. Breakfast is yoghurt, cereal and toast. Lunches - sandwiches and bagels with whatever is in the fridge on tope.

  What else ...

  Note this is not a city placement or one for bright lights and partying as we are a bit outside of the city of Vancouver! Our home is busy with children's activities, so you will need to be comfortable with a lot of coming and going and the demands of our jobs...which is why the help is always so appreciated. We always enjoy sharing our beautiful slice of paradise over the weekends!
