Description
Hey, I am Eli (22), welcome on my Workaway profile!
When I graduated from high school in 2023, I decided to take some time for myself and explore the world in my own terms. After a 2 months long journey to Nepal, where I experienced a cultural shock as well as great inspiration, something unlocked in me and I just started to sense the world through different lenses. Since that, I am finding my ways to live more sustainably, self sufficiently and connected to the surrounding community.
To be in touch with nature is a crucial pillar in my life. I truly love fresh air and I genuinely enjoy being exposed to the wild elements - hiking, forest bathing, wild swimming, camping and foraging are my favorite activities out there. I am passionate about learning how to take care of the beautiful and fun home we all share and how to live as sustainably as possible - that is also one of the important reasons why I am on Workaway.
Another reason is to get to know better different cultures. I am especially interested in indigenous knowledge worldwide. I enjoy activities like hitchhiking and couchsurfing which help me to meet the local people and often help to open the door to the core of the local culture. I've had the most genuine and fun experiences while low-cost travelling and backpacking and I will be happy to share my stories with you!
In the moment, I want to learn new building skills (especially working with wood) and how to take a good care of animals. I am also very curious about alternative ways of education and permaculture farming. Cooking, yoga and sauna are my biggest passions.
I am looking forward to meet you on the road and to our common adventures!
