Hey, I am Eli (22), welcome on my Workaway profile!
When I graduated from high school in 2023, I decided to take some time for myself and explore the world in my own terms. I went to Nepal for 2 months where I experienced a cultural shock but felt extremely inspired. Something unlocked in me and I just started to sense the world through different lenses. Since that, I am finding my ways to live more sustainably, self sufficiently and connected to the surrounding community.
I find it necessary for myself to be in touch with the nature. I am a big bird lover and I love to spend time outdoors exposed to the elements - hiking, forest bathing, wild swimming, camping. I am learning every day how to take care of the beautiful and fun home we all share and how to live as sustainably as possible - that is also one of the important reasons why I am on Workaway.
Another reason is to get to know better different cultures. I enjoy activities like hitchhiking and couchsurfing which help me to meet the local people and open the door to the core of the local culture. I've had the most genuine and fun experiences while low-cost travelling and backpacking and I will be happy to share the stories with you!
In the future, I would like to study anthropology. I am also thriving to learn more about how to take care of an organic farm. Crafts, cooking and sauna are my passions - basically once you meet me, you might just feel like meeting a granny.
