Christian is a hard worker. He's very competent and doesn't watch the clock. He did a remarkable job renovating our wooden tables, chairs, benches, and doors: sanding and varnishing. The finish is perfect. It's truly professional work. Christian is very kind and discreet. He doesn't talk much. He stayed at our house for several weeks. We shared all our meals. There were many workawayers there at the time. I recommend Christian without hesitation!

Super grateful with Wes and his nice funny vibes that he shared in the project. We are very happy to have his support and handy skills to build a mud house. Super recomendable and we are very excited to know more about his permaculture project. Wish you all the best! Diego y Silje

Jenny is not your ordinary helper - she is a passionate gardener-permaculture designer with big aroha for nature and people. And she is willing to share her tremendous experience in these fields with you. In my humble garden, Jenny waved her magic wand and - the driveway had a make-over, the glass house a make-over, the veg beds were weeded and mulched, a new compost made, the windows cleaned, the cake baked, the dinner ready, interesting conversations and exchange of ideas and life events, books read and discussed ... Having Jenny around is a wonderfully inspiring and at the same time gentle experience! Thank you, Jenny, and kia kaha towards your further adventures! Nga mihi nui me te arohanui!

We have just spent four weeks with Björgvin, Gunnhildur and their children and we couldn't have asked for better hosts! Everything was perfect: their kindness, our conversations, the great food, the accommodation, the music, the sightseeing and the amazing northern lights! We also really enjoyed the work: putting up some OSB, drywalling, painting and whatever else needed to be done. We loved every minute of our stay!

I hosted Simone for almost one month. Although expectations regarding tasks, working hours, and house guidelines were clearly discussed before his arrival, our cooperation became challenging. There were also issues with respecting house rules, despite prior explanations. In addition, he showed little interest in cultural exchange or social interaction. I hope that in the future he aligns his goals more closely with the spirit of the Workaway platform and finds a hosting situation that better matches mutual expectations.

Hosting Sara from Norway this past month has been an absolute joy. She is incredibly kind and always ready to help, noticing what needs to be done without even being asked. Her sense of responsibility and dedication are truly impressive; whatever task she takes on, she does it carefully and thoughtfully. Sara is also wonderfully autonomous. You can trust her completely — she organizes herself, manages her time well, and approaches her work with seriousness and care . We shared beautiful moments, and meaningful exchanges. She is not only a great Workawayer but also a truly interesting and inspiring person to have around. I wholeheartedly recommend her — any host would be lucky to welcome her into their home.

Our stay with Therese and Henk was simply wonderful. Despite continuous rain and storms, we battled bramble bushes, ivy, and giant cacti, pruned olive trees, cleared the river of undergrowth, and shaped the vegetable garden. We also planted flowering perennials everywhere, which starting this year are meant to delight Henk's and Therese's eyes. All the work was done together with them as a team. All the meals were provided. Therese is a wonderful cook (5 stars) and created the most delicious lunches and dinners for all of us. We really enjoyed the time together and the warm hospitality! It was simply lovely!

Liam was one of the very best helpers we ever had, Even without any special skills he did wonderful work ,such as painting a wall and three doors in the new helpers bedroom, After that he was honestly extremely helpful putting new floorboards, even he have never seen this before,.. On another big (very big) project here , Liam was again extremely helpful by clearing our a overwhelming amount things in our new workshop,.. We can never thank him enough for all that ! Even helped building a brand new workbench and tools panel,.. Always joyful and in for a joke we spend most of the time together in a harmonious way,... Liam was also fantastic with our horses an our dog, who miss them now he is back to home To all future hosts,...Not letting Liam join your project would be a sin ! Thank you again dear friend for all what you have done for us !

I spent a lovely 3 weeks with Deisy and Henri in Marino! They were super welcoming and clear about expectations from the start and I felt like I slotted into their routine right away. The work is generally about helping them with daily tasks or home maintenance and projects, most of the time we worked together though occasionally I was given a task to complete independently. The hours are more than fair, I was even able to attend Italian language classes in Rome in my free time. It was a rainy few weeks so I didn't get to see much of the Castelli Romani, but it is a naturally rich area with beautiful scenery. We spent a few evenings playing video games or at the pub, they introduced me to so many local recipes that I can't wait to try out at home! Henri is a phenomenal cook with loads of ambitious projects and Deisy is caring and determined, we had some great laughs and interesting conversations! Vi auguro il meglio e tanto successo per vostri progetti, spero che ci rivedremo :)

Anouk was a very good Workawayer for me. She got along well with everyone, very helpful and cheerful. After spending time with her, I will stake my reputation on a full endorsement of Anouk as an excellent choice for a Workaway.

Yannik is a nice guy with a good sense of humour. He helped us paint the gym and with gardening. We allowed his cat also to stay and my dogs and cat were OK with his cat. Yannik is quite young and needs supervision, best to let him work his own timeline and eat when he is hungry which is most of the time. It was handy that he has the van so is independent to come and go. his English is perfect.

I spent 2 and a half weeks in Popayan. I did a variety of things for my volunteering here. I participated in English conversation nights three times a week. I prepared a presentation about Canada and shared it with each of the English classes and once for guests. I went on the Peace Walking Tour with Melania and then worked with her to translate one part of her tour into English. All the people involved, from the staff to the students are so kind and welcoming. Miguel always went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, it felt like I was staying with family. This place really feels like a community. Popayan itself is a very chill city. It has wonderful food, the best menu del dia I’ve had while traveling, as well as cute cafes with great coffee and excellent ice-cream shops! I really enjoyed the walking tours and learning about Popayan and the history and culture here. I recommend this place to volunteer and to explore Popayan! I would love to come back some day :)

We had the opportunity to welcome Andy into our home. From the moment I saw him at the bus station, I knew he would be a great volunteer, and I wasn't wrong. He's truly a very dedicated young man, a lover of reading and exercise. A very hard worker, he put a lot of effort into the garden and the carpentry. Thank you so much, Andy. May God bless your journey.

I had a really lovely experience staying with them for two weeks of house and pet sitting. Even though I only saw them at the beginning and the end, they were very kind, explained everything clearly, and made me feel comfortable and safe in their home. The house is beautiful, with an amazing view and great walking opportunities nearby. The dog is wonderful — very sweet, energetic, and always happy to go outside. The cat is also very affectionate and gentle, and I truly enjoyed spending time with both of them. Overall, it was a great experience and I’m very grateful for the opportunity. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Monsieur Safa. At your age, to be thinking and planning projects that will include people who will be offering tour guides, will run a bakery place, and will manage a chicken farm… All I can say is that I hope I will have the same enthusiasm when I reach your age… if I reach your age. Future volunteers, if you are interested in history, archeology, religion and rock formations, and you speak Russian or French, look no further. Thank you Safa.
