Hi, I am Christian from Canterbury in Kent, UK. My Interests include travel, biking, working , walking and running. I am here to explore Europe, meet the foriegn hosts and volunteers; to gain experience, learning about renovation and gardening, I also hope to share knowledge that I have learned along the way. Hoping to get healthy doing Workaway. Looking forward to doing some good work with the hosts.

I have five years experience with property maintainance in France and Germany, painting, pointing, gardening, groundwork, construction and small forestry. In the past I have worked as: A security guard in a tinned food factory. Iin a building maintenance team in government buildings On a construction site as a labourer during lockdown. In this role I am not skilled but have assisted most trades. I enjoy learning at work, sharing knowledge, working patiently and enjoying work, interacting and having a laugh. I Like to hike and run on my days off and remain productive during work days. Interested in health and safety, I carry my own respirator half mask, ear defenders and other personal protective equipment; Able to do messy, muddy or dusty jobs if needed. Quite large and capable of some heavier tasks.

What else ...

I Don't have a driving licence but have ridden motorbikes for years and can Build a honda 90 or a pushbike from spares. Able to drive tractors or other machinery on private land.
Don't drink or smoke at all !
Completed the Brighton Marathon in 2010.
Have made my own cheese yogurt pasta and sauerkraut!
Am an EU citizen.
I usually arrange three weeks as a staring point with a new host. Often will stay longer or return if all goes well.
Studied at art college, enjoy music and art.

PS: Disclaimer: Regarding strimming and brush cutting. Time spent using loud equipment will be discussed. I have accumulated too large a number of hours completing strimming jobs at larger properties and I continue to get requests to complete strimming jobs alone on large estates and I cannot do them all as it would be a health hazzard. I am quite happy brush cutting normal size houses as well as long hours of all other gardening tasks. Thanks in advance. :)

  I try to limit wihite bread and white pasta. I dont eat prosessed meat. Am more of a breakfast lunch-person than a supper dinner-person! I enjoy eating lunch or dinner with the host but am happy as long as food is available.
