I stayed with Deisy and Henri for 10 days and it was a great experience! They gave me a warm welcome and we shared our stories together. During my stay, I traveled a lot to the historic city of Rome. Eglantine is a fantastic artist! She painted beautiful artworks for us that now make our home even more special. Beyond her talent, she was incredibly helpful with our dogs, our cat, and around the house: always tidy, clean, and attentive. She also made us a delicious Canadian dessert and brought many tasty treats from Canada for us to try. We

Henri and Deisy were fantastic hosts. I went there for 8 days in March. I had a large room for myself and after some discussion, my mother was able to come with me. I stayed with Deisy and Henri for 2 weeks in June. I have to say it was the best two weeks of my life. Deisy is the warmest and kindest host/person I have ever met, and someone I cherish deeply.
The workload was light and did not feel like work at all. This couple are more friends than hosts, they opened up their home with kindness and care.

I spent a week with Deisy and Henri, but I wish I spent more. Both of them were sweethearts, funny and patient, treated me like family. They both made such good Italian meals and I went out with Deisy a couple times, safe to say we’re good friends now <3
I worked in the mornings from 8am-1pm, and had the rest of the day to myself. The work wasn’t
… read more difficult, mostly feeding the animals and keeping everything clean. The house was also clean and it was a pleasant place to stay. Though it is an hour public transport to the center of Rome, the transport was really easy (a bus to the metro, then metro to the city) and was very cheap!
Overall as my first workaway it couldn’t have been better. I’ll be back next time I’m in Rome :-) Thank you Deisy <3

The experience at Deisy’s and Henri’s house was wonderful! While in the morning we were taking care of the animals, the cutest dogs and goats and doing some gardening, I explored the beautiful city of Rome in the afternoon and evening. I had so much fun, Deisy and Henri are the sweetest people! :))
