Description
Hello! We are Henri and Deisy, a young couple living in Marino.
We live in a house surrounded by nature, nestled in the Castelli Romani and close to the lake. We share our home with our two Cocker Spaniels and enjoy a simple, creative, and active lifestyle — we love working on small home projects, gardening, cooking, and making our space more beautiful and welcoming.
We’re always happy to meet new people, discover new cultures and foods, and share daily life while speaking different languages.
For us, hosting through Workaway is a wonderful way to travel without moving! Welcome 🙏🏼✨

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Travelers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in everyday Italian life while bonding with our beloved dogs, who are sure to bring joy and inspiration. Living in the Castelli Romani, a beautiful hilly area about an hour from the center of Rome, you’ll enjoy the peace of nature, charming historic villages, and local flavors, with easy access to the Eternal City. You’ll be able to learn more about Italian culture and traditions.
During your stay, you’ll also have the chance to participate in activities like gardening, DIY projects, and seasonal harvesting — picking olives to make olive oil and grapes to make homemade wine. You can also join a cooking class to learn how to prepare some typical Italian dishes, getting a true taste of local life.
If you’re open to it, you might also pick up some Italian phrases or practice the language day by day.

Accommodation
We offer a private room or a shared room with another Workawayer. You will have access to private bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, and an internet connection.

What else ...
In your free time, if you enjoy nature walks and breathtaking views, you can explore several trails between the two volcanic lakes, including “La Via Sacra” and the path to “Monte Cavo”. The station with direct trains to the center of Rome and other destinations is about a 30-minute walk from the house.
