Description
Hi! We are friends who met working for American conservation corps in Utah. We absolutely love being outside and working in nature. We both have over 8 months of experience working outside on parks and farms. I’m Abbey, from a small town in Midwest, U.S. I adore animals and would love any chance to work with them! I'm vegetarian, but not a picky eater at all. Having a positive attitude and being grateful are some of my biggest strengths. I'm not a complainer or drama person at all. I spend most of my time reading, hiking, cooking, painting, and biking. I'm extroverted and love meeting new people, but appreciate my alone time for reflection and being creative. I spent 5 months solo traveling Africa this past year using Worldpacker. I can easily send over my Worldpacker reviews for any hosts wanting to see them, and same with Andy for WOOFF reviews! Just let us know. Andy is from Fargo, North Dakota. We have basically all the same interests. He’s an extremely hard worker and the nicest person I know. He has experience WOOFFing in Europe and working in Grand Teton National park doing data collection along with a degree in BioChem. We have both spent more nights sleeping outside these past two years than inside. :)

We both have experience working on farms. Abbey worked on an organic turmeric and blueberry farm in Florida for a month, and worked on a permaculture farm in Tanzania for a month. She also has a garden at home and goes tree planing every week in Indiana. She has also taught cooking classes in Swahili for an month in Tanzania. Andy volunteered in Spain and Germany doing WOOFFing. During our time in conservation we did trail work and maintenance, rock work, invasive species removal, etc. We are hard working and have plenty of experience working outside no matter the weather, terrain, or job. We both have some experience with carpentry and gardening. We are happy, fun, easygoing, and most importantly, eager to learn!
