Description
We are a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Colombia which promotes sustainable tourism in the Cauca region, which has been previously affected by the armed conflict. Through activities and projects based on diversity and inclusion, we transform former war zones into cultural and gastronomic destinations for national and international tourists.
Additionally, we see sustainable tourism as a tool for peacebuilding and for socio-economic development in Colombia. For that reason all our activities and projects are both led by and are for young people, victims of the armed conflict, the LGBTIQ community, former combatants as well as vulnerable and indigenous peoples.
One ongoing activity is our peace center. Here, tourists can learn about victims and former combatants’ stories and current projects. We also offer language courses and English Conersation Club Nights there. Our guests can also experience culture while enjoying drinks prepared with “coffee beans of peace” with the taste of reconciliation, development and harmony.
Some of the coffee plantations were established as a result of illegal crop replacement scheme as part of the peace agreement. This initiative provides opportunities for victims and former combatants, particularly women, who run their own coffee plantations. The women can showcase their products and crafts - and tourists can support the women by buying their products as souvenirs.
One of our projects aims at providing life opportunities for victims of the Colombian armed conflict through sustainable tourism. With professional training in English and tourism guidance, the tour guides inspire tourists by sharing their personal stories and a commitment to peacebuilding through street art and murals tours.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
This cultural exchange is a different one. It is about being part of the peace movement that our country is living. It is about learning how people, that were directly affected by the colombian armed conflict, can rewrite their stories through tourism and languages.
With us, you will learn how to be a peace promotor, helping a group of Colombian people to improve and establish new opportunities for their home region.
You can contribute to help healing the wounds of the conflict through activities and projects that can offer a better opportunity for life.

It was such a wonderful experience having a volunteer like Justine with us. Initially, we thought she would only stay for a month, but we were thrilled to see her enthusiasm and willingness to extend her time here and take on new challenges, like teaching French and participating in other activities. We truly enjoyed her energy,… read more
Mi tarea principal era ayudar a organizar las actividades de la noches en el café (principalmente conversaciones en inglés) e enseñar alemán. Pero también pude practicar mucho español. Además construí estanterías con otro voluntario y escribí una solicitud de premio para la organización. Hay… read more
