  Description

  I am Caterina, I live on this piece of hill 4 km from the Ionian Sea and along the slopes of Etna. I fell in love with this place when one summer evening I saw the red moon on the sea, a wonderful, unforgettable sight. I love living in the countryside and being a farmer in my free time. At the beginning about twenty years ago I took care of everything by myself: 5000 meters of land cultivated with oranges, on one side I planted olive trees and then a vegetable garden, chickens, geese, dogs, cats. Today I need help and since I am convinced that hospitality is a form of cultural exchange I would like to have an experience with Workawayers. I am a pragmatic person and my guests will feel at home also because I always try to make them feel at ease. Mine is not a commercial farm, I live in the countryside by choice of life and the little I cultivate is useful for me and my family. I already have my own job in a public body.
  
  
  Sono Caterina, vivo su questo pezzo di collina a 4 km dal mare Ionio e lungo i pendii dell'Etna. Mi innamorai di questo luogo quando una sera d'Estate vidi la luna rossa sul mare, uno spettacolo meraviglioso, indimenticabile. Amo vivere in campagna e fare nel tempo libero la contadina. all'inizio circa vent'anni fa mi occupavo da sola di tutto: 5000 metri di terra coltivata ad arance, da un lato ho messo a dimora alberi di ulivo e poi orto, galline, oche, cani, gatti. Oggi ho bisogno di un aiuto e siccome sono convinta che l'ospitalità è una forma di scambio culturale mi piacerebbe fare un'esperienza con i Workawayer. Sono una persona pragmatica e i miei ospiti si sentiranno a casa loro anche perchè cerco sempre di metterli a loro agio. La mia non è un'azienda agricola, vivo in campagna per scelta di vita e quel poco che coltivo serve per me e per i miei familiari. Ho già un mio lavoro in un ente pubblico.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  Workawayers could learn the Italian language, they could learn how to prune oranges and olive trees and how to clear brush. They will learn how to take care of chickens and geese. They could also gain experience in construction and maintenance. Sometimes we could cook delicious Italian food together. They could gain experience in a family with Emilian and Sicilian customs, having origins in both regions.

Inoltre potrebbero fare esperienza nell'ambito della costruzione e manutenzione. qualche volta potremmo cucinare insieme deliziosi piatti italiani. Potrebbero fare esperienza in una famiglia con usi emiliani e siciliani, avendo origini in entrambe e regioni.

  Starting next month and for two months, I need someone to stay at my house alone because I have to leave for health reasons.
  Workawayers will have to keep their sleeping place and bathroom clean. I needed help for home and for outside space for to cleaning or maintenance. I would also like help with the animals, the outdoor space and the greenery around. Help in the countryside is appreciated such as pruning trees or trimming the grass or cutting wood and taking it to the woodshed. I would like to point out that here we are on a hill 5 km from the sea but the land is terraced typical for the slopes of the Etna volcano. I am a good cook and sometimes I can teach cooking classes (Emilian, Sicilian, vegetarian).
  
  Dal prossimo mese e per 2 mesi ho bisogno di una persona che stia a casa mia da sola perche io devo partire per motivi di salute.
  i Workawayer dovrann o tenere pulito il posto dove dormono e il loro bagno. ho bisogno di un aiuto per la casa e per lo spazio esterno in termini di pulizia e manutenzione. Vorrei un aiuto con gli animali. E' gradito un aiuto in campagna come potare gli alberi o decespugliare l'erba o tagliare la legna e portarla nella legnaia.Ci tengo a precisare che qui siamo su una collina a 5 km dal mare con il terreno terrazzato tipico per i terreni dei pendii del vulcano. Sono una brava cuoca e qualche volta posso fare scuola di cucina (emiliana, siciliana, vegetariana).

  The accommodation will be in a small, new apartment of about 30 square meters, with a bathroom with shower and sink. Only active people are welcome.

  For transportation, a bus passes 50 meters from the house at least four times a day to the nearest central town, which also has a train station, and many other buses, and you can also reach the mountain villages on Mount Etna. A mountain bike is available, but please note that we are in a hilly area with several climbs. Preferably non-smokers. I greatly appreciate loyalty and proactiveness. This is my motto: "You feel at home here, but you should treat your home as your own."
  
  
  per i trasporti a 50 metri da casa passa la corriera almeno 4 volte al giorno per andare nella città più vicina e centrale fornita anche di stazione dei treni e tanti altri bus e si può andare nei paesini di montagna sull'Etna. C'è la disponibilità di una bici mountain bike ma bisogna tenere presente che siamo in collina con parecchie salite. preferibilmente non fumatori. Apprezzo molto la lealtà e l'intraprendenza propositiva. Questo è il mio motto:"Da me si sta come a casa propria ma si deve tenere la casa come propria".
