I spent 10 weeks with Alicia and her family. I split it into two 5 week stays. Almost all my hours were spent at the daycare with 3-5 children. We would play games, do arts and craft, play music, go to the park, read, build and learn new skills. The daycare would run Tuesday, Wednesday and occasionally Thursday. Having an education background definitely helps and having creative games/art ideas in your back pocket will be beneficial. I enjoyed having all my hours packed into a few days so I could go on day trips, explore the city and surrounding areas. There were a few afternoons where I would watch the boys and make dinner and that was communicated beforehand. The house is in a great location, close to beaches, buses and parks. I was able to see so much and experience many amazing places thanks to Alicia. Some meals were shared with her and the boys which were fun conversations. Rain and Malachi are energetic passionate kids that kept the house lively! Overall, I'm very grateful for my time there and wish them all the best!

Luis was one of the best Workaway's we have had! A wonderful addition to our home, Luis easily fit in with our family, and friends when they visited. Luis is kind, tidy, friendly, intelligent and has a very peaceful nature about him. He stayed with us for a month, including over Easter holidays - joining in with our family gatherings, meals and games. Luis helped both my husband and I with a variety of tasks, always keen and enthusiastic to do whatever the project was, and a lot of them were spontaneous. We cleared out some sheds, and cleaned & re-organised items & furniture. On the land, Luis cleared trees, mowed, used the whipper snipper and helped clear gutters. Luis was great in the kitchen, always tidy & self sufficient. We had many enjoyable meals together. Luis interacted and played with both our 8 yr old and our guests - trampolining, ping pong, handball, board games, imposter, charades, tennis etc. Our time with Luis has been delightful!! We highly recommend this polite, hard-working and gentle human! Luis is welcome back anytime. It has been our pleasure to meet, and host Luis.

Begin a volunteer here was an incredible experience that I highly recommend!! You get to live in the heart of Tokyo and your main job is talking to Japanese people in either English or your mother tongue, is super easy and fun if you are a social person. I learn a lot from the Japanese costumers, they are really lovely and sweet! Also I made incredible friendship with people from different countries, you get two days of each week so that allows you to do some trips together if your shift matches. Thank you Yuta for this beautiful experience!

We had Matteo stay with us for 3 weeks. He was a pleasure to have around. He got stuck into lots of manual digging for our new toilets then tried his hand with some carpentry building us a surf rack. Overall vibes were great and I'd recommend him to any project big or small.

Yangyang was originally planning to stay for three weeks, but she ended up staying with us for about a month and a half. Since her Japanese is very good, we were able to communicate mostly in Japanese. She is always very dedicated to improving her language skills and studies hard every day. She is also very talented at drawing. She created a map illustration for our event, and even collaborated with a local market to draw portrait illustrations of people in the community. Everyone was very happy with her work! She also seems to really enjoy sharing her own culture. She often introduced Chinese culture and food to us, and truly enjoyed spending time sharing these experiences with everyone. In addition, she has a great sense of humor, and her presence always brought a lively and joyful atmosphere. We shared many laughs together. It feels a bit quieter without you now (haha). You are always welcome back anytime!

They were a delight to have, I only wish they had stayed longer! These are the best and nicest workers you will find.

My experience was calm and a bit different from what I expected, partly because of the time of year I visited (a lot of rain), which changed the type of activities. Instead of gardening, I mostly helped with more manual tasks in the house, so I would recommend asking in detail beforehand to have clear expectations and read thoroughly what Heico has written in the description. Heico is someone you can have interesting conversations with, especially about sustainability but also about movies and music. His project truly reflects the idea of “going back to the basics,” which can be very meaningful if you are looking for a more grounded and simple lifestyle experience. When it comes to the work, he has a clear way of how he likes things to be done and tends to guide tasks closely, depending on your personality, this can feel either comfortable or a bit challenging. At the same time, he is flexible in aspects like timing and resting. The experience is quite authentic in the sense living conditions are simple (for example, a compost toilet), and the work can be physically demanding, so it may not be for everyone, especially if you are looking for something more comfortable. I visited during the rainy season, so things were quieter and there was less interaction with other people, but I still had the chance to explore the surroundings, which are very beautiful, and spend time with Ripley and Chomsky, who are very friendly. Overall, it can be a meaningful experience if you connect with this kind of lifestyle and come with openness and flexibility.

I stayed at Stephen's house for a week. Stephen was always kind to me. He respected for my personal time and shared many interesting towns that I could visit from his house. What I found particularly memorable was walking around the neighborhood near his house with him. As we walked together, Stephen explained the towns to me repeatedly until I understood, and I gained a deeper understanding of England. I would like to improve my English skills and go there again. Thank you so much for everything you did for me.

Manuel was a great fit and a very helpful presence on the farm. Although his stay was short, he completed every task to our full satisfaction and demonstrated a strong work ethic throughout. Thanks to his prior experience with farm work, he quickly understood what needed to be done and carried out tasks efficiently. He also got along very well with everyone here, making him a pleasure to have around. He will always be welcome back!

If I could've given him 1000 star I would have. Jean Côm have been amazing and cool my entire trip. We became a good friend a room mate and after all the person who listen to your stories. This is my first ever trip at Norway, Euroup in general, and it could never been more successful. Through this trip I gain more confidence and hope for future. Not only an amazing host he is also an amazing dad, who loves his daughter. and the dad who loves ghe daughter are always the best person you could find. If you're reading this Jean Côm. From the first minute I met Lore, I felt eased by her smile. Lore is genuine and easy going. She could always brought up something to chat about and were open to what we offered. When we are not available, she can be content by herself well. We didn't ask much work, and Lore finished it with good quality. It's really an enjoyful experiences having Lore with us. We wish her the best in her future journey.

I looooved staying with Stuart (and his roommate Shannon in the side caravan) SO much. Stuart is such a chill guy, I felt at home right away and felt super safe as solo female traveler. His home is in an amazing location close to town and is so cute and artsy. I loved cooking together, attempting to make healthy desserts, and am so thankful to have been included in sunset swims and art night. Would 1000% recommend a stay here :)

I honestly had the best time ever staying at Andrea’s place. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and completely at home. For me, it felt much more like a shared family experience than actual work. I absolutely loved spending time with the animals. Each of them is amazing and unique in their own way. Walking Jule, Lumi, and Bongo every day gave me a little routine that I really enjoyed. You’ll often see the cats playing (or fighting 😄), and sometimes they’ll even jump onto your lap, which is incredibly cute. Some of them might even sleep in your room if you let them; I personally loved that! The tasks are mainly simple household chores that you probably (and hopefully) also do at home. Nothing too difficult or overwhelming. Meals were often shared, and there was always a strong sense of consideration and respect for one another. Andrea is an amazing person, a great listener and someone you can have really meaningful conversations with. Her daughter Merle, who was there during my stay, is just as wonderful. They are both very attentive, kind, and truly pleasant people to be around. You can only feel comfortable in their presence. I highly recommend this place, you should like animals though! Andrea, thank you for everything :)

My experience here was so great - Sophie and Eric were incredibly kind, the accommodation was really nice and it was fun to be with other workawayers, lots of fun games in the game room, and we were able to eat lots of the fresh fruits and veggies that were grown in the garden! Be ready to weed gorse and do other random tasks in the garden. Overall had a great time and highly recommend:)

I stayed here for three months and can say with confidence that everyone is very very nice and hospitable. Ronan is a great guy who will gladly share his vast knowledge of the local flora and fauna. During my stay three other workers were employed, all of whom were a pleasure to be around. The accommodation is rustic and cozy, but one should be aware that the place is a bit remote. The task can vary depending on what needs doing at that moment, so I never got bored. During my stay I planted trees, cut paths through the pine forest, helped with fencing and built bird-/bat boxes. I worked three days a week to reimburse food and accommodation with the option of doing more days if I wanted, for which I then would get paid. This meant that I was quite flexible. Overall, I had a great stay and can recommend this workaway, especially if you are into working with nature.

Over the past two weeks, I have been a volunteer at this wonderful place. Because Ramadan had just ended, the children were on holiday, so unfortunately I didn’t get to spend as much time with them as I would have liked. However, the days I did spend with the children were incredibly enjoyable, filled with games and laughter together with the teachers. At the beginning, the children were still quite shy after the holiday, even though there was no need they are perfectly capable of asking some questions. Mr. Ger was always there for me and the other volunteers, whether it was to take us somewhere or to go to a party or a wedding. I really appreciated the fact that nothing was mandatory, but so much was possible. He also has many lovely dogs, and you can spend time with them if you’d like. Even though Mr. Ger had only just met me, he trusted me with his classrooms and allowed me to paint them. So if you want, you can try and do many different things here. Mrs. Tina is also incredibly kind and always ready to help. There is always food available, so you never have to worry about going hungry, she cooks delicious meals. Overall, I had such a great experience.

Maicol fue un voluntario excepcional y superó completamente todas nuestras expectativas durante su estadía. Desde el primer día demostró una actitud proactiva, gran responsabilidad y una disposición increíble para ayudar en todo lo que fuera necesario dentro del hostal. Se adaptó muy rápido a la dinámica de trabajo y siempre cumplió sus tareas con un nivel de detalle y calidad destacable, ya sea en limpieza, organización, apoyo a los huéspedes o en labores generales. Algo que realmente lo diferencia es su capacidad de anticiparse a las necesidades, sin necesidad de que se le estén dando instrucciones constantemente. Además, es una persona muy respetuosa, positiva y fácil de llevar, lo que hizo que encajara perfectamente tanto con el equipo como con los huéspedes, generando un ambiente muy grato en todo momento. Tiene excelente comunicación, trabaja de forma eficiente y mantiene una actitud impecable incluso en momentos de mayor carga laboral. Sin duda, recomiendo a Maicol al 100% para cualquier anfitrión en Workaway. Es una persona confiable, comprometida y con muchas ganas de hacer las cosas bien. Elisa and I stayed with Cam & Bill for 3 weeks and really enjoyed our time here. Types of work varied from day to day and ranged from house keeping to outdoor maintenance. A real highlight was getting to day trip with everyone up to the wombat sanctuary for some volunteer work! Bill and Cam are very fine people and made us feel welcome from the start. The accommodations are really nice - they have multiple rooms available and a really cool shack which is a great hangout spot! There are a ton of absolutely gorgeous beaches in the area. Bill and Cam let us borrow their car so we did a lot of beach trips as well as excursions to the nearby town of Ulladulla which we definitely recommend checking out. If you are down to put some work in and can hold your own, this would be a good place for you!

Jessie ha sido una excelente voluntaria a pesar de ser este su primer workaway. Amable, comunicativa, dispuesta a hacer cualquier trabajo que le encomendé, cuidó de mis perritos como si fueran suyos. Cuidó mi casa y mascotas mientras me ausenté 3 dias sin problema. Un placer haberla recibido.

I had a great 2 weeks at Frans place, the location is beautiful with great walks on your doorstop. I really enjoyed the work which involved mainly garden maintenance, some house keeping and pet care. Fran has two fantastic pets, coco the lab and amber the house cat. I really enjoyed taking out Coco everyday, she is such a lovely natured dog. Fran was very kind and dropped me off at one of the famous walks nearby, and really enjoyed chatting to her in the evening about her work. A great workaway experience, thank you Fran
