Description
**Please note we have two cats** My husband and I moved from Ireland to this glorious part of the world in 2016 and a couple of months ago we moved to a stunning part of Javea, a 6 minute drive from the famous Granadella beach. We love life in this gorgeous town by the sea with our 10 year old daughter and 6 year old son. Our house is a 20 minute cycle on an eletric bike from the main beach in Javea with an abundance of cliff walks and coves nearby. We love our beach life here with a range of outdoor activities at our doorstep. We enjoy cycling, hiking, yoga, dance, tai chi, going to the beach, hanging out with friends.
We are currently enjoying a slow re decoration of our new house and we are looking for people interested in supporting us with this project, those who are handy and enjoy DIY tasks and cooking.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You’ll have the opportunity to live in a truly beautiful seaside location, surrounded by sunshine and nature. We speak English at home, while the children are fluent in Spanish. We have an intermediate level of Spanish ourselves. Matt also speaks intermediate French and is currently learning Welsh, his mother’s native language.
We live in a spacious independent villa with a swimming pool, set within a 1,000 m² garden. There’s a supermarket and a tennis club less than a 10-minute walk away.
As part of our family, you’ll gain valuable experience with children and be fully included in daily life. We love cultural exchange and would really enjoy learning any skills or experiences you’d like to share with us too.
In your free time, you can explore Valencia, Alicante, and many other beautiful towns nearby. If you enjoy yoga, spirituality, or water sports, this area truly feels like paradise.

Help
We are currently looking for Workawayers for the following period:
29th May – 12th June
At the moment, we would especially love help from people with practical DIY and cooking skills.
We’re looking for someone who is handy and genuinely enjoys hands-on DIY tasks, having children and cats around, and being part of family life. Help may also include some cooking and general organisation. For cooking, you don’t need to be an expert — being comfortable following recipes is absolutely enough.
Our lifestyle is quite active and intentional. We enjoy starting the day early and making the most of it, so someone with a similar mindset would be a great fit. We love being outdoors, eating well, and living a healthy lifestyle. At home, we avoid processed foods, white sugar, and gluten, and we prioritise local, organic produce where possible.
We’re also quite mindful about screen time, especially around the children, so we’d appreciate someone who is not overly attached to their phone and is happy to be present and engaged.
The help required is typically around 4–5 hours per day, leaving you with plenty of free time to relax or explore the area.
Your accommodation will be a private caravan in the front garden (please see photos), giving you your own space. You’ll also have access to an electric bike, which is perfect for getting around as the area is quite hilly.
