    Description

We are about 3 hours hours drive south of Sydney . We have a small 8-acre hobby farm near the beach, on a ridge overlooking the sea with alpacas, goats, geese, chickens and peacocks. We have work-from-home day jobs so we could use some extra help around the place; gardening, maintenance and creative DIY building / renovation projects. You would be living in a 3 bedroom wing of the farmhouse with all food & drink provided and we are keen cooks and eating well is an important part of life on our farm, sadly we can't accomodate vegans , dairy or gluten intolerant folks.

For sense of the vibe on our farm and how we opetate, i think our former volunteers cover that well in there reviews from a range of different perspectives from folks who have just left school on gap year to professionals and skilled trades people in their 30s

For workawayers we have available 1 double bed room and , 1 bunk bed room (2 people), so we can accommodate 4 people max at one time. We are ideally ooking for people who have practical skills especially Arborists, DIY, carpentry, building skill or are keen to learn new skills, our workawayers work hard but live well, our food is high quality, we have a well-stocked fridge (free beers, cokes & wine) and your accommodation is pretty nice.

Van life: For folks who are buying and fitting out / repairing a van we have space and extensive tools and a hoard of building materails for you to get your van into great shape, we have had +5 couples whom have successfully done up their Vans while staying with us

There is the possibility of some additional paid casual work from our neighbours, however this is infrequent and usually quite physical in nature, if finding paid work is important to you this area is not ideal as it is quiet with few jobs available.

We're late fifties We have two grown-up kids overseas who appear very occasionally and a daughter at Uni who occasionally comes home for weekends. We're 10 minutes from Bawley Point and its many beaches, and 20 minutes to Ulladulla and 30 to Batemans Bay, both small thriving towns. The highway is 2km down the hill where there is a service station and bus stop with regular service to town. We have two cars that we are happy for our workawayers to use once we are comfortable that you will drive responsibly, so far all but one of our work-away folks have been able to borrow our two cars.

Information we need from you... if you are contacting us from a shared or friends profile, we NEED information on ALL the folks wanting to come and stay with us so we can figure our if they are a good fit for our farm.

FYI our postcode 2539 probably qualifies for the 88 days bushfire recovery volunteering towards a second Working Holiday visa
