Hey there! My name is Sarah, but my nickname is Kaz. :) My girlfriend and I live in the northern section of the Gold Coast. It's the perfect place to live. The property has had a significant garden clean-up; however, we require help maintaining it. Since we were avid Workaway users throughout Europe in 2021 and loved the experience, we thought, why don't we use Workaway?! Having settled now, it's a good time to bring travellers to us :) I think this would be an ideal exchange for someone travelling at a decent pace exploring Queensland. A vehicle would be beneficial but is also not required because we are well-linked to public transport in this area.

It's a two-story house with two bedrooms, one bathroom, and an additional toilet. A large deck and balcony are where we entertain and eat our meals. The kitchen and living area are open-plan and modern, with a comfy vibe. It's an unusual spot because we live in suburbia, yet it feels calm and tranquil with all the trees and birds chirping. We are a 7-minute walk to Broadwater. The Broadwater beach has calm water, so it's ideal for swimming.

We are seeking a workawayer for four days and four nights only. The best scenario would be arriving on Sunday afternoon/evening and staying until Thursday afternoon/evening. We expect three days of work: two hours in the garden and one hour preparing dinner. We are happy to provide breakfast and dinner only, no lunch or snacks. We live one minute's walk from a supermarket, hairdresser, cafes, pharmacist, bakery and many more convenience stores.

Ana and I like to eat well, be in nature, travel/explore and socialise.

The garden requires regular maintenance because of all the leaves and debris from the large trees around our home. The front yard needs landscaping, and new plants need to be sown. We have garden gloves and the gardening equipment required to do the task.

    Tasks may involve:
    Raking up leaves
    Cutting back hedges
Using a shovel to top up the soil level
Picking up and stacking outdoor paving tiles
    Planting / Weeding
Putting garden clippings into the bin
    Oiling the deck
    Cooking dinner in the evenings.
