We stayed about fifty days here. This place is simply heavenly and no one wants to leave it. We had planned to stay two weeks and we stayed almost two months. Dani is extremely kind, the cooks too as well as Bo, Chan and Wine who take care of the cleaning and maintenance that you will have to meet. The food is delicious, you will sleep in a dormitory with the other volunteers which creates a nice team cohesion. The exchange with customers is really present given the lack of wifi which creates real memories. Go ahead with your eyes closed you won't regret it. I will never forget the moments spent here. Part of my heart will always be in Koh Rong now ❤️ thank you for everything Dani, we love you so much

Pana was such a welcoming presence here 🌿 He has such a soft, gentle nature and brought a really calming presence into the space. He shared his Yoga practice in such a grounded and heartfelt way. His classes felt inclusive, nourishing, and open to everyone, no matter their level. Beyond that, he was always ready to help. Stepping in last minute, he would quietly and willingly offer his energy. No hesitation, no drama, just genuine care. Pana has a very kind heart and naturally makes people feel welcome. He blended so easily into the community and brought such lovely, positive energy into the space. The kind of volunteer that makes everything feel lighter and more connected. We’re really grateful for his time here, and he’ll always be part of the family 💛

Dan is a relaxed, intelligent and cooperative young man. He stayed with us for 9 days and we thoroughly enjoyed his company. He seems willing to try his hand at any job given to him. We highly recommend him to any prospective hosts and wish him the best for all his future travels.

Una experiencia maravillosa en el Hostel! Pasé un mes trabajando en recepción y cuando no estaba de turno disfrutaba de la linda piscina y de la buena vibra del lugar, que atrae músicos y buena gente. Los domingos son de Pool party y musica en vivo, un dia Yersin nos acompañó a ver unas cascadas lindísimas y hasta organizaron una cena de despedida todos juntos. Me sentí como en casa y muy acogida por parte de Yersin y Megan, son personas de corazón. Espero volver un dia! Gracias chichos por la hospitalidad y cuidados ...se van a enamorar de Gordo! 🐶🎉💓 Inés

Lilia was a great volunteer. She was dedicated to the home and its' duties. She had the home spotless and good energy. She did great project in the terrace. She was very respectful to the house rules. She was super kind to Rio, the dog. I highly recommend Lilia for future volunteer projects.

Katarzyna / Kate was a wonderful volunteer. From the outset, she showed maturity, intelligence and a strong work ethic, and quickly earned our trust. Katarzyna was exceptional at taking care of our animals, especially the baby animals whom will miss her. She also made a significant contribution to our bushfire hazard reduction efforts, which during a hot and dry summer are critical. She was wonderful company, thoughtful & easy-going, contributed positively to the group dynamic and got on well with our diverse group. She also cooked some wonderful Polish dishes, which were greatly appreciated by all. We would welcome her back without hesitation. If you have the opportunity to host Katarzyna, grab it with both hands.

I had a great time in the rainforest . I was here as a volunteer in the Solo Mundo program for 6 weeks. Everyday I experienced new species when exploring the nature. I helped take care of the cutest farm animals while supporting the amazing project of making self sufficient with it’s daily resources, such as eggs, fruits and goatmilk🐔🐐🍌 The staff, volunteers and interns here that bring a wide variety of professionel, cultural and personal diversity, which really makes this place have a very unique and lovely dynamic🌎 Learning about and supporting the sanctuary and clinic animals was a great experience as well. Everyday has it's challenges that we face together as a team. Living in the rainforest is living in a rural area, so be prepared for the challenges this may include! Though it also means beautiful night skies, waking up to birds singing every morning, chilling at the pool and experiencing nature in a much more down to earth way🌱 I leave with an even greater gratitude towards nature, food and the hard work that goes into conservation than when I arrived. I will always be gratful for that😌 Thanks to this place and all the people connected to their organisation 🙏

Llegué como voluntaria y me voy como parte de la familia: pasé un mes muy lindo - hostel y se creó una gran armonía entre los voluntarios y el resto del staff. Es un lugar donde definitivamente te quieres quedar más tiempo y de hecho ambos voluntarios que huéspedes extendieron su estancia! Ayudé con tareas de recepción 5 dias a la semana a cambio de alojamiento y desayuno... lo cual es el más rico de toda Antigua! 😋 Además los voluntarios tienen descuentos en tours y pueden alojarse en otros hostales alrededor de Guatemala en sus días libres, algo que hize y que recomiendo!!! Los voy a extrañar mucho chichos, gracias Robin y Rivas por la oportunidad, Andrea por tus ricos desayunos y todos los voluntarios con quién compartí esta hermosa aventura. Espero volver el próximo año! Con mucho cariño, Ines💓

Fue un verdadero gusto haberlos tenido como voluntarios, son una pareja realmente encantadora y buena onda, voluntarios muy recomendables, graciaa por todo.

Foresaw estuvo en la Hacienda como voluntaria durante varias semanas en las que me ayudo en muchas cosas distintas, haciendo todo siempre bien y con la mejor actitud . Muchas gracias por todo y me alegra hayas encontrado el amor en este lugar!!!

I stayed here for 2 months, mostly October and November. the family were very welcoming, I slept in a small clean mobile home with a heater. My responsibilities were mostly feeding the cats, dogs, chickens and horses, sometimes giving medicine or helping take animals other places (the vet, etc.), and picking up dog and cat poo daily. some chores were in the morning, others in the evening, my afternoons were free. the work took me about 3-4 hours most days, a more efficient worker could probably get through it faster. The family were always happy to help me work on my French, or learn anything else I asked about. I got to learn about saddling and grooming and ride horses several times, and Carrie was a patient teacher. I ate with the family every day in the farmhouse (a beautiful timber frame building started in 1789). They are good cooks :). Sometimes we sang and played music together. I was very sick for the first month, the family helped me get doctor visits and medicine. The Lisieux train station is 20 minutes away, as long as I let them know a couple days in advance it was always possible to get a ride there and go on short weekend trips to Paris, Caen, Rouen, or other nearby cities. there were more interesting sites and things to do than I can share here, so ask for ideas while you're there. Thank you so much, to Carrie and everyone else in the family ;). it was a good stay and I learned a lot!

Tina was such a pleasure to host here on my property, she fitted into my home, my life, family and friends from her very first day, we worked together and this woman works like a warrior I was very impressed with her from day one, happy to work in with no matter what the task I planned to do. I would highly recommend Tina as a suitable work-away for anyone looking for a hard worker, great conservationist. Tina enjoys her down time to walk, ride the bike if there is one available and just enjoy time in the area. Looking forward to her coming back to stay in the near future.

Hermosa experiencia con Rosa, amable, alegre, con ganas de ayudar. Días de muchos patitos, mucho calor y botellas y leña, chicha de manzana, mermeladas,en fin. Se adaptó muy bien a la casa , y con mucho respeto siempre. Estoy muy agradecida de Rosa, y del tiempo que compartimos. Es un super buen elemento para cualquier equipo que lo requiera.

Great to have Matthias and Naomi, they worked really well together from cleaning up my horse paddocks to pulling out old rose bushes and even a bit of painting.my front yard is looking amazing 🤩 oh I really appreciated some French cuisine. Wish you well in your travels

Increíble los días con Jassin. Alegre, voluntarioso, ordenado, super trabajador, con muchas ganas se mantuvo las 2 semanas, ayudando en todo lo que podía, muy hábil con herramientas, y con pequeños pero grandes detalles. Compartimos grandes momentos, aprendimos mucho y nos ayudaba como traductor con otros voluntarios. No se olvida de las tareas y siempre quiere ayudar, si lo reciben en vuestros proyectos estarán muy contentos y satisfechos con el seguro.

Miriana was our very first experience as Workaway hosts, and she was simply fantastic. She helped with our daily household routines and often took the initiative to find small tasks to do on her own, always with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. With her sweetness and kindness, she built a wonderful bond with our young children, winning them over from the very beginning. She joined our family outings as if she were truly part of the family, while never being intrusive. She perfectly balanced her personal time with the time spent together with us, showing great sensitivity and emotional intelligence. Even while sharing our home, she was always extremely respectful, tidy, and well-mannered. Over time, she truly became an integral part of our family. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will miss her very much!

Andra and Augustine were both great people to have on your team. They were both good at following instructions, being fun to be around, and, most importantly, they were great team players. We really enjoyed hosting them.

Solo fue una semana, pero fue increíble. Hicieron de todo, y se adaptaron rápidamente al ritmo de la casa. Abiertos a compartir con la familia y a vivir nuevas experiencias, Fueron muchos momentos hermosos, estamos muy agradecidos de sus manos y su alegría. Ya casi tenemos el nuevo gallinero. Sólo faltan detalles. Muchas gracias, El que quiera recibirle, estará muy contento con sus personas, que son maravillosas.

Soraya and Noah were great couple, súper friendly, hard working and súper polite. I definitely recommend them 100%. It was great charing time with them.
