Description
We are based in East Auckland past 4yrs after having lived on waiheke island since 2010, Just after my wife passed from a terminal illness and when our daughter was only a toddler. My daughter is now a young woman and in her first year of university.
With my daughter growing up fast, back and forth to university, Our Workawayer role has become more relaxed, General involves help with day to day domestic tasks depending what project I have going on at the time.
Would suit independent travellers, Domestic experience (Essential) and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty if needed.
I work from both home and Waiheke Island after making our Waiheke Island house into a boutique short term accommodation which is very popular
I love hiking - Auckland trails and after recently purchasing another property in Turangi right at the doorstep of the Tongariro national park (Central North Island), In other words, We are spoiled for choice to have some of the worlds most beautiful walks with spectacular scenery close and available.
Apply only if you're up for fun adventures :) -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
This would be a good opportunity for someone to stay who loves the outdoors and going on adventures. I'm really looking for someone who loves the outdoors and wants to come hike some of the best trails.
Explore the Eastern suburbs coastline, like the "Rotary Walk", Bus/Train to Auckland including museums and galleries, Cornwall Park, Albert Park, Rangitoto island, Waiheke island and many other lovely public spaces. Day trips to 'Hobbiton' or West Coast beaches like 'Piha' -
Help
The role is generally more relaxed, helping out around the house. For us is nice to have help with some cleaning and small jobs but we don’t have any fixed schedule. We no longer supply food as we do not have enough work here so we are happy if you want to use the kitchen utensils you can make your own. occasionally I need help with a project.. Drivers licence maybe a bonus :)
