Description
Welcome to our home in idyllic Southern Norway!
We live in a beautiful countryside located small farm right in front of the fjord, surrounded by nature and peaceful views. The nearest town is about 20 minutes away by car, so this is the perfect place if you love calm surroundings but still want access to shops and cafes.
We are a family of four: I am Italian, my partner is Italian-Norwegian, and we have two children — Leif (4 years old) and Isak (8 months). Both will be attending kindergarten, so most of the day you will be helping with the small farm and not full-time childcare.
We live in a small farm and we have 5 chickens, a cat, and a friendly dog.
I would love to have some help to keep the house running smoothly — things like cooking, cleaning, gardening, looking after the animals. Occasionally, a little help with the children could also be nice, but it won’t be your main task.
At the moment I’m on maternity leave until January, then I will be working part-time (60%) until March. So I will mostly be at home and we will share time together.
You’ll have your own comfortable space, good food, and the chance to experience Norwegian countryside life by the fjord. We like cultural exchange, good conversations, and a relaxed, family-style atmosphere.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You will be part of our family life and experience a mix of cultures — I am Italian and my partner is Italian-Norwegian, so we speak both languages at home. You can learn about Italian traditions, food and lifestyle, as well as Norwegian culture and nature.
Living here means enjoying the fjord and countryside, but also joining us in everyday activities, meals, and projects. We enjoy meeting new people, sharing stories, and learning from different cultures. You will also get to know our small town community and the beauty of Southern Norway.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We would love some support with everyday life in our countryside home. The help can include:
• Light housework (cooking, cleaning, laundry)
• Maintenance and upgrading of the small farm
• Gardening and small outdoor projects
• Feeding and caring for our chickens, cat and dog
• Occasional help with our two children (Leif, 4, and Isak, 8 months) — mostly playing or keeping an eye on them while we are around, not full childcare
Nothing too heavy — just sharing daily tasks to keep the house and garden running smoothly.Languages

The house is right by the fjord, surrounded by nature, so you can enjoy peaceful walks, fresh air, and beautiful views. Wi-Fi is available, and we aim for a warm, family-style atmosphere where you feel at home.A little more information
