Hola!
We are Augustine and Andra, two young French people who met in Berlin and we are now starting our 1 year in Mexico together. Augustine is doing film studies, she is passionate about movies, experiencing life to the fullest and she is very excited about trying Mexican food. Andra worked in renewable energies, and he is now taking a break before starting his next professional adventure which allowed him to volunteer for the last months in different European countries, always with passion and enthusiasm! After living together in Paris, Augustine went to study in Barcelona for 6 months and Andra participated in amazing volunteering projects with the European solidarity corps. What motivates us in life and make us bond so well is our will to explore new cultures, taste new cuisines and meet people with diverse backgrounds. Our curiosity about the world around us allows us to be continuously learning from others, their know-how and their experiences. This is what truly motivates us to be workawayers and we think it will be a great opportunity for us to discover the Mexican culture while participating to projects and be of help for someone else in our time there. We both speak a little bit of Spanish and we are very eager to learn more. We also both speak English and we have both lived abroad so we are used to the language barrier and we always get by 😊. We are looking forward to this adventure of learning and sharing.

What motivates us to be workawayers is the desire to fully immerse ourselves in a new way of life and culture while being helpful and included in community life. Andra has already done a wwoofing in Italy where he volunteered in a farm taking care of vegetables harvesting, seeding, weeding, preparing seeding beds and all daily farm activities that required his help. Since the start of 2025, he volunteered in three different projects which revolved around work to benefit the local community, eco-construction, farming, gardening and environmental conservation. Through these volunteering, Andra has acquired experience in group and independent work on construction tasks, gardening, general outdoor work and group cooking for up to 20 people. Together with Augustine, we did a wwoofing in Greece in 2024 where we prepared a glamping site on a farm before the start of the season. The tasks were mixed between the daily farm activities and making the glamping site ready for receiving customers. Augustine also has experience with babysitting. She worked with different families in Germany and France and took care of children between 6 months and 6 years old. She loves to play with children and read them stories.
