Description
Little about myself: I have traveled to almost 90 countries. Lived in 5 different countries . Mostly in Central and South America. I am not always in the country, it may be our local staff manager Elisa there during your dates.
In the center of Guanajuato, I purchased a home. This is part of the project to improve the community and house.
I believe in the power of community and helping the community where you live.
You would help with painting, taking care of the plants, cleaning, sweeping, walking the dog. There are community events like river clean up and mural painting. General items around the house.
I give space for creativity and risk taking. Volunteers have planted seeds for the garden, painted murals, painted wine bottles, and made food bowls for a pet organization I am part of.
We have 1-2 local staff at the guesthouse.
Workawayers will not be managing the guesthouse project. Under local staff manager Elisa and myself, will be managing the house. The primary tasks will be cleaning, gardening, and helping with the dog, Rio.

Access to downtown Guanajuato- 9 minute walk to centro historico of Guanajuato Plaza Allende.
No need for a car because almost everything is walkable or taking the bus.

Guanajuato is a beautiful city with endless attractions. There are cultural events going on each weekend and weekdays.
Your Spanish will improve being at the house. I have many items labeled in Spanish ...and French.

Sergio made me and everyone feel really welcome in his home :) During my stay I ended up getting sick quite a few times and Sergio was super accommodating to letting me take extra time off to rest so I could recover from the illness.

Sergio's place is next level. We felt right at home right away. We learned so much in so little time. He's trying to build a self sustainable place and we are sure it'll be amazing.
