We are celebrating our 2 years anniversary to our project this week, and what an adventure it is! Our Guesthouse and Vegan restaurant is up and running, the community, activities, our island cleanups and the school project, so much has happened and so many exciting things to come. The focus now is on deepening with various art projects and creating new designs for native wooden structures. We're always looking for people with great energy to join our team:)
We are currently staying in our simple native huts in the community section of the project, in a peaceful nature environment, just 5 minutes walk from the famous Paliton beach in the center of San Juan.
During the week we start the day at 7AM with a morning activity (Yoga, Meditation, movement, writing etc.) and have a fun afternoon activity just after sunset and before dinner (Dancing, art, crafts, language, lectures, etc.)
Our official working hours are between 9AM - 11AM, with a bit extra responsibilities which are flexible. our program is structured such that everyone has plenty of time to explore the beautiful island and the magic that's within it:)
There's a lot of parties and live music just a short bike ride away, and we all like to enjoy the good vibes every day:)
I won't write our whole philosophy here, since there's a time and a place for everything, but I'd just say we're here to do great things and live a good life. We live in paradise really, and we like to celebrate it:)
The local community here is so kind and friendly, and the people are always happy to share good stories and culture. Smiles are everywhere we look. and that's one thing that no pandemic would ever change;) Siquijor is considered to be one of the safest places on earth, and the people are with no doubt some of the kindest. We hope to match the island's energy by being as inclusive and supportive as we can.
Every afternoon we like to go together to Paliton Beach to see the sunset and drink Mojitos or fresh coconuts. It's truly something no one should miss here in Siquijor!
Our mission here is to extend the home for our community, and build a place for people to call home. In the future we're hoping to open a retreat center, and allow teachers from all over the world to use our space.
We are focused both on the journey of self discovery, and committed to support and help the local community.
We're working together with the local elementary school and starting now to join the local hospital who's always in a need for extra hands.
Anyhow, let's talk more in private :)
It might takes a day or two, but we are committed to respond to every message. So please know your words will receive our full attention, even if it takes a little while.
Stay cool;)

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are a mix of people from all nationalities, so you can expect to not only learn about the fascinating Filipino culture but also different cultures from around the world.
Through work, you can learn a lot about native construction and carpentry, cooking, gardening, and so much more. if you're interested in the local culture, just talk to some of our local staff :) they are always happy to share their history with us!Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
After Opening our restaurant and finishing the first step of our building project, we are now in the look out for people to help out in more specific projects. helping out with building new art designs, painting, decorating, gardening, social media, and more.
we are also developing the departments regarding helping out to the local schools and Barangay's around us:)
There is a lot of work around, so just find how you could support the project with your personal skills the best. we need people that have awesome, interesting or artistic skills - people who want to share their good energy with us :)
We have a place here for anyone who would like to help! bring whatever you would like to bring, we are open to new ideas. :)Languages spoken

We offer a private cozy bamboo hut with a mosquito net, electric fan, and electricity plugs.
We have Western Toilets and cool Open air Bamboo Showers (We also have hot showers). A common area to chill, and a cool new kitchen where our chef does her magic;)
We have a pretty strong Wifi connection here, and it's free like our mineral water.
Our kitchen team is making the most amazing vegan food! We are eating together dinners during the week days, and on the weekends go out together to explore the restaurants and bars nearby. Joining the communal meals is totally optional (400PHP - around 6 Euros) - we just need to know in advance in order to prepare! There are two volunteer kitchen on site where our team can cook for themselves. we don't accept any meat products to be used in our project, but aside from that you're free to use the facilities as you like.
We also offer different services to maximize the comfort of our volunteers, (Laundry, Bike rental, booking scuba diving, food and drinks at our restaurant, etc.) and the volunteers get full discount for anything we offer. The food we make here is just for ourselves. So the volunteers will be assisting to our chef who is the main person to cook the meals for everybody. What else ...
Wow. Where to start?
Siquijor Island has truly something for everyone. It's full of waterfalls, lakes, mountains, caves and beautiful beaches, fireflies, glowing plankton, reefs, shooting stars... Nature wise, It's heaven.
You can go snorkeling or diving, hiking, camping or just rent a motorbike and explore the island.
there's so much to see and do! you can go visit a healer, which is what this island is famous for.
We like to go explore new places on the island on our weekends, so you can always join us:)
We like to go out everyday at least for a drink, or for a bonfire on the beach. there's plenty of good bars and parties and honestly it's always fun when we do it together.
So yeah, hard to get bored around here!
It's super easy to get here from Dumagete City, Bohol, Cebu and Mindanao. We are already familiar with most routes so just tell us where you're coming from and we can help you get here 😊A little more information
