I stayed with this wonderful family for about three months, and I can honestly say it was an amazing experience in every way. Vanessa is a truly special person: she makes you feel comfortable right away and welcomes you as part of the family from the very first moment. The girls are incredibly sweet, always smiling, friendly, and very mature. It was my first Workaway experience, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better. The house is located in the perfect spot: in a quiet and private area, yet close to everything. In just 10 minutes you can reach some of Australia’s stunning beaches, and nearby you’ll find the city, the mountains, the river, and the beautiful Springbrook National Park, which I highly recommend visiting. The work is not complicated at all. It mainly involves housekeeping, driving the girls around, and gardening (Vanessa LOVES plants, so be ready to help her with her beautiful garden!). You also have the pleasure of spending time with two wonderful cats who love cuddles. A bit of flexibility with schedules is required, but the family is equally flexible with you! If you’d like to take a short trip or have personal commitments, they are always extremely understanding and ready to support you. In conclusion, I highly recommend this experience to anyone. They are a beautiful, generous, and kind family who will always make you feel supported and at home. I will truly carry this experience in my heart. 💛

I had a wonderful experience staying with Oswaldo through Workaway. From the very beginning, everything was well organized and clearly managed. Oswaldo was a great host – friendly, fair, and always making sure that volunteers felt comfortable and supported. The room was comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious. I really appreciated the fast and reliable internet connection, which made it easy to stay connected. In our free time, there were plenty of activities to enjoy: access to Netflix, a swimming pool, and games such as pool, table tennis, and foosball. There was also a separate kitchen available for volunteers, which made cooking very convenient. The place itself was peaceful and well maintained. It was located close to a quiet beach that became more lively on weekends, creating a nice balance between relaxation and a social atmosphere. On days off, it was easy to visit a nearby town with a local market, a shopping mall, or another beach. My volunteering experience went very smoothly. Sometimes there was more work when there were more guests, usually on weekends, and at other times there was less work – which felt fair and natural for this type of place. If you are looking for a calm place away from the noise, close to the beach, this is definitely the perfect spot. I highly recommend staying with Oswaldo!

I stayed with Rachael for a week and had a good experience there. I did some weeding, planting, as well as helping put up a small wooden wall for a raised area in the garden. Rachael cooked good food and gave plenty of recommendations of hikes for me to go on in Wellington and just outside of Wellington. She was always ready to help out with anything I needed (e.g. driving me someplace to get a public transportation card) and I felt very welcome at her place.

Visiting the Eco Reserve as a volunteer was a great experiance for me, and I can really recommend it. It's an amazing place to meet nice people and other intresting volunteers. Also the communication with Steve ist Just really relaxed and works good. The Nature around the House, and the rooms to stay are really great. The work was pleasant and not too much, and San Augustin, the nearby town, is very beautiful and has everything you need.

We truly enjoyed having you both Barbora & Mehdi with us as our in house. You were kind, respectful, easygoing, and always ready to help with a great attitude, and best work you guys done here. That made everything smooth and enjoyable for everyone. Also very happy you liked the accommodation and the bakery creations 😊 It was a pleasure to share our bread, brioche, and pastries with you each morning. Sharing lunches and dinners together and introducing you to different Chinese dishes was also something our family really enjoyed. Thank you for your positive energy, your help, and for being such lovely people. Hosting you was not only about work exchange, but also about cultural sharing and friendship. Our door is always open for you, Barbora and Medhi. We truly hope our paths cross again in the future

We had such a wonderful time at this place with Nico and Ellen and it's proved a highlight of a five month trip! The grounds of the property are incredible and it was amazing falling asleep to the sounds of the forest at night. It's really interesting being on the border with Brazil, on our days off there was plenty to do and see in the surrounding area. Nico and Ellen are kind, patient and incredible people. We learnt a lot about agro-forestry, the Amazon and life in Bolivia. Overall, it was a memorable and rewarding experience!

Jack was an excellent volunteer, and we truly appreciated having him with us. From the very beginning, we had the opportunity to get to know him, and we felt very happy to welcome not only a volunteer but also a friend. He connected very easily with the local community, the students, and the other volunteers. Jack is extremely passionate about teaching. In fact, he even offered to help teach another group of students, and they absolutely loved him. His enthusiasm, dedication, and positive energy made a strong impact on everyone. When it was time for him to leave, the students felt genuinely sad, which shows how meaningful his presence was. In the flat, Jack was very clean and organized. He always helped keep the space tidy and comfortable for everyone. He was also friendly and respectful with the neighbors, and he was able to build meaningful friendships within the community. Overall, Jack was a wonderful volunteer and person. We are very grateful for his contribution and would highly recommend him for future opportunities. we will miss you always. aqui le mandaron. It was such a pleasure having him volunteer at our work exchange. He is incredibly respectful to everyone around him and carries himself with a quiet kindness that makes people feel comfortable and valued. He’s also a hard worker always showing up ready to give his full effort, no matter the task. What really stands out is how passionate he is about the things he loves. That passion, combined with his strong work ethic and respectful nature, makes him someone truly special to have on any team.

Tuve una experiencia muy bonita con Felix, Señora Carmen y Graziela. Aunque fue una visita de último momento, nos recibieron con mucho cariño. La escuela estaba de vacaciones, así que fueron unos días tranquilos. Pasamos tiempo con ellos, especialmente durante las comidas y cocinando la cena juntos. Son personas muy buenas y amables, nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Y Caraz es un pueblo hermoso. Estoy muy agradecida por todo.

The best family ever! Eva and Christian are amazing cooks and warm people. Their daughters, Alma and Zoe, are like angels. You can learn Spanish very quickly here because Alma will teach you everything, she is perfect! Thank you for all your help, and I’m sorry I wasn’t able to help you enough.

It was a great week with Itai and his family. In addition to the exciting tiny house project, I learned a lot about personal food processing. There was no shortage of leisure activities and I was always able to explore the great surroundings. Itai is a warm person with many exciting interests and a good sense of humour.

I spent a week volunteering for this project and loved every minute of it. it was an incredible experience helping and teaching children from 5 up to 16 through programmes onsite as well as local school visits. The staff are so helpful and lovely and I already miss them and the kids. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone, not just those who can teach English, but also those with other skills as there are a lot of opportunities to use these. Would love to come back when I'm back in Sri Lanka.

Wow, I don’t even know where to start. Emily is such a wonderful person and host! My stay with her was absolutely amazing, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything she did to make me feel at home. I truly can’t find the right words to express how much I appreciate her. Taking care of all the dogs and cats is a natural gift she has. Her whole life is dedicated to giving these animals the best possible care, and I really admire the way she does it. She even bakes cookies which she sells to raise money for the non-profit organisation that helps the puppies and that’s just one example of the many good things she does. She also teaches you anything you want to learn about caring for the animals. For example, I learned so much during one of the sterilization clinics she organizes. On top of all that, if you ever need advice about the surroundings, tours, culture, or anything else you can think of, she is always willing to help. The description of this opportunity that Emily provides is exactly how I experienced it. So if you truly love caring for animals and playing with them, this is the perfect place for you. This will be the focus of your stay. I am extremely grateful that I could be part of this experience and I will never forget it. Honestly, it was one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life. And from the moment I left, I’ve missed Emily and the animals so much. Therefore, I won’t say goodbye, but farewell! And who knows, maybe our paths will cross again! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Zuz is very friendly and clean, she is allways redy to work and do how much she can. its have been a great help to have her around cause she has good inisiative with keeping the place nice and welcoming. She made good friends among the volunteers and the roomies., and she liked the 6 dogs at home. Thank you very much for you help!
