    Description

    Welcome to the comunity!

This is friendly place a bit further out of town, where we enjoy life close to the river of Puerto Escondido. It is pretty chill place, quiet and full of green plants. There is also a beautiful building painted with murals: its the perfect mix between a little village and the nature! we try to be as ecologic as we can, we recycle many things here, and we grow some veggies, herbs and have some chickens. At night it is quiet, like being far from town but we are just 3 km from the beach of zicatela and la Punta!
Public transport is available and soon we will have a motor bike to rent for cheaper than a taxi ride. this place is based in a hostel, but out of high season we open it for travelers and artists who want to leave their traces.. Its why everybody is welcome to come and spend a good time here and bring in some good vibes. This property is a little village, with a path between the house and the others spots. There is space for around 12 people who fit in the comunity, and each person has their own private spot and enjoy life as it is to be home.

WORK here is lots of fun! We do recyle things, art, projects to build new cabins, and general mantaining. We organize everything for ourselves to make this place comfortable. Some times is hard work, like dig some holes or be in the sun, but we work around 1 -3 hours per day ( WEEKS ENDS OFF,MAX TOTAL OF 15 HOURS A WEEK) and you get a bed! We make short day so you will be able to enjoy the beach and other beatifull places around. As we are many at home, and many times we eat together, we have the OPTION to participate in the comunity system who we organize in team for our little breakfast (tea, coffe, buscuits and oats). Lunch every day, if you dont eat it, we will keep it for you for dinner, and includes use all the kitchen extras like oils, spices) for 35 pesos a day. People who cook and work for this preparation of meals, its counted has work. The comunity participation is an option of course, is just for make life easier for all of us!

    Nature
Many different threes, not many of them are givin fruits yet.... but what we can allredy get all year long is moringa leafs, nopales, papaya and a bit carizas wich I call them the mexican strawberry! :) There is a literally a little field of mint, hierba buena and basil. Of course it depends when you will be here, but i would like to build a underground room build in mud, for growm mushrooms. And a clay oven too. the veggie garden is ready to start, but we have to build a little fence cause of the chickens they will stay free, veggies not! and they are incredibly smart when they want something. There is a larvacompost tower, since my Califonian worms where eaten by the ants of the region. We do not kill any animal since I try to maintain the ecosystem of the region, that gives a lot of life to the landscape! Keep the chicken coop clean, check the plants, feed the dogs, water for all of them will be a task to.
In the garden there is ( in spanish cause dont know the tradution) Chicozapote, arbol de Pimienta (peper), carambola(star fruit), moringa, nim, tamarindo, naranja, arbol de canela( cinamon), papaya, coco, cariza, 2 mangos diferentes, granada china, mandarina, almendro, aguacate (avocado), lima, carambola (passion fruit),Iaka (jack fruit) lima-mandarina (rico),guayaba, datiles, higos (figs), chile de arbol, pina(pple) y 20 nopales suficiente para comer uno cada dia, y pronto, cacao y pistachos.

    Recycling
Soon we will start a recycling project. there are so many good things that we could build! just the fact of separe the trash and stick it back how we need, takes time. Making a roof of cans requires cutting them all one by one, and then "sew" them. putting together garbage requires an effort, many times under the sun and loading things that do not concern us. Cutting wheels by saw to make chairs is a big fisically tiring. Everyone can help on them way. Any good ideas come up to use any trash do eleminate the waste!. Everything organic goes to the chickens and to the larvacompost, the plastic could be used to make plastic bricks with sand ( we will learn toghter about it), the caps could work for thousands of things.

    Life in general
This neighborhood is like a small town sticked to puerto esondido. The neighbors are super buena honda. We have a biiig river near home to enjoy the fresh water, the locals get shrimp and fishes! there is even a turttle endemic from there. The good thing also is that is not deep enough to drown or anything, the most of times is not higher than the knees. The nights are very quiet, and in the rainy season you will see the fireflies counting hundreds. The sound of rosteers, a few dogs and some kri-kri far in the distance is what characterizes the silence of the nights(really!): is really quiet. You can see the stars well, sometimes you forget that you are two kilometers from the city cause there is a hill that separates us. When you get to port you can see the happiness of the people, the palm trees on the road and the "doñas" selling water of fruits and awesome tasty oaxacan food! it's a great city, really young and metropolitan. good waves!

    Nauraleza
Muchos arboles.diferentes y hierbas.
