    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

My guest house and flower farms are located in an old and traditional Malaysian village called Kampung Raja.
Maybe you are already aware of it but thanks to all the Indians and Chinese people who came to Malaysia back in the day, we now experience a big cultural diversity in this country. Malaysia's population consists of 68 % Malay people, 23 % Chinese people and 7 % Indian people.
In Kampung Raja you can find all of these nationalities living and working together, creating a buzzing and interesting mix you can hardly experience anywhere else.

Here, we still follow many traditions like moon cake festival, dragon boat festival, Chinese New Year and many more. So volunteers have the unique opportunity to be part of all the cultural differences and join in for all the fun festivals that happen like all the time.

Last but not least I think that cultural exchange also includes learning and getting to know about local nature.
The Cameron Highlands has one of the best natural sites of Malaysia to offer. With massive trees, ancient forests and many tropical plants, volunteers can learn so much about local nature and our environment.

We run a cozy combination of bakery, café, guesthouse, and hotel, welcoming travelers from around the world who come to enjoy the fresh mountain air, tea plantations, and relaxing atmosphere of the highlands. Our place is designed to feel warm, friendly, and social — a space where guests can rest, meet new friends, and experience local culture.

We are currently looking for creative and enthusiastic content creators who can help us showcase our café and accommodations through photos, videos, and social media content. Sometimes we will ask for little help with normal hostel task, or with flowers at the farm.

    • Branding or creative marketing ideas

If you enjoy storytelling, travel content, café culture, or hospitality spaces, this will be a great fit.

*Also there is a chance for those who are chef, please contact us for more information about this position due it could be long term.

    • Independent and creative
    • Easygoing and social
    • Passionate about travel and storytelling

We want volunteers to feel like part of the family, not just workers.
