Dear Magdalena, you are such a chill, trustful and attentive person, and it's so much fun to be around with you. We had many beautiful days together. Yesterday, we spread about 50 wheelbarrows of wood chips, and you were unstoppable even though I was completely exhausted :) We've known each other since last year, and you've been a huge help with my project. A few days ago, we visited a good friend and attended a Wim Hof breathing workshop, which was really cool and intense. I love your sourdough and your pancakes. I usually do the cooking, but you're different and always bring food, hahaha. I'm already looking forward to pizza day and hope to see you again soon. Thanks for everything!

My stay with Annabel and Julian was really incredible. They were fantastic hosts, full of kindness, joy, and passion for conversation and farming. I learned a ton and got to try lots of new things, including sheep weaning! I can't thank them enough for such a fun and memorable time.

Bernd and Dani have been great hosts. They have a great spot in Hobart that is close to the city and to great trails on Mount Wellington. They were really supportive and helpful in my transition to living in Australia and have become great friends. It was great to do a range of work from weeding, rebuilding fences, and plastering walls. I learned a lot and really appreciate the experience. Thanks for everything!

Len and Toni were fantastic hosts. They have a beautiful property in an incredible part of Tasmania. They were generous, kind, and supportive while I stayed with them. The work was good and fair and they had lots of tips and resources for exploring the area. I can't thank them enough for such an amazing experience.

Liam and Poppy are a happy, friendly, positive couple. Their good vibe is contagious. I positively class them as old school artist. Not at all shy to get themselves dirty. They took seriously every task. Worked hard on the garden and some odd jobs but their masterpiece was the mud outdoor pizza oven. It was labor intensive, mentally and physically demanding. They really put their heart and soul into it as if it was their own. We were pleasantly amazed at the result and the food we cooked inside the oven! What more they were able to involved and entertained the children during the sweaty work as well in their spare time, proving considerable patience and kindness. Definitely more than we bargained for. Thank you Liam and Poppy, we'll think about you everytime we cook in the oven. You guys will always welcome in our Rancho as friends. Highly recommend!

Ian stayed with us for about a week. He is a quiet, thoughtful young man, eager to connect and learn from his hosts. From the start, it was clear that our project is still in its early conception phase, so we didn’t have much physical work to offer. He helped with daily tasks like chopping vegetables, plucking amaranth leaves for sambar, and helping with dishes, and he joined us in exploring the area, visiting temples, swimming in the lake, and engaging in many meaningful conversations. We hosted him especially to blend into our life here and experience what we are building, to give us direct and indirect feedback through his presence and in that sense he was a very good match. I believe he would have thrived even more in the next phase of our project, a setting with a slightly larger, more established community and longer stays. Overall, Ian is gentle, respectful, and genuinely curious. We’re grateful he chose to begin his Workaway journey with us.

My time in Kamphaeng Phet with Siri was absolutely wonderful and exactly as described. From the moment I arrived, everything was smooth and well organized. Siri is incredibly hospitable and consistently went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable—even offering to take me places whenever I needed. I loved my room, especially the large and very comfortable bed. The entire home was always clean and welcoming, which made it easy to feel relaxed and at home. Siri is an exceptional host, and this experience is perfect for anyone who loves working with children and teaching English. It’s honestly hard to write this because I’m sad to be leaving. I’ve gained not just a great experience, but also a genuine friendship. I will definitely return and will be keeping in touch with Siri.

I had such a lovely experience with Linda and Andy over in Weetah, and couldn't recommend this workaway enough to anyone considering it. I felt immediately welcome at their place, and they are such a lovely couple who've built an amazing home. I particularly enjoyed our chats about shared interests of film, music and travel, and loved listening to their insane record collection!! The jobs that needed to be done were fun and fulfilling, I certainly picked up some handy new skills - they have such interesting ideas on what to do with the place and it felt great helping them to achieve this. In terms of the accommodation, you really couldn't ask for more as a workawayer. A cosy cabin that feels private and peaceful, with everything that you'e possibly need. Thanks so much both, it was so nice to spend the week with you guys!

I just finished up my six weeks working here and it was a great time! The entire crew really makes you feel like a family as soon as you get there. From eating dinner together with Brayan's mom, to going to local cultural celebrations, to nights at Edgar's house, camping with Junior, and kicking it with the other volunteers. This is really an awesome experience to dive deep into a unique corner of the world as you truly feel immersed in this culture. The area that you stay is an easy 10 minute bike ride (they provide bikes)(or a $1 taxi) to the main Huanchaco town, so you are close enough whenever you desire that environment, but you stay in an area far from any tourists, providing an amazingly authentic experience. The kids are super sweet and they're fun to work with. I never felt bored during my time there as there was always some new fun activity popping up. If you want to get out of your comfort zone, surf some great waves, and feel like you're helping make the world a better place, this is the spot to be. I'll never forget my time here, it was really a once in a lifetime experience.

Katrina and Cora are lovely girls! We had a wonderful time with them... nothing was a bother to them and it was a pleasure to have them in the house. Their work ethic is excellent and we highly recommend them. River and Willow still keep looking out the window to see if they are coming back and missing them so much :) if there is a noise in the house, they are looking down there to see if the girls are still in their room! They were so sad for a few days... if you ever find your way back to Queenstown, it would be lovely to see you again! Wishing you the very best for the rest of your trip!

Britta Charlotte is such a lovely and wonderful young woman with such a good spirit 🥰😍🥰 We had the big privilege of having her come to visit us quite last minute, since I wrote and asked if she could come soon and she luckily could and she was a big savor since she helped with sewing an Enola Holmes dress, that we sewed from old red table cloths and some old dresses we adjusted into the dress. Britta has great skills in sewing and in being creative with sewing 🙏😍🙏 The dress was both sewn by hand and on machine, but mostly by hand bc it was so complicated to sew a dress that should look really old and look very fancy..., and also that should look really good 😍 which it ended up doing. 🙏😍🙏 Britta is so lovely and nice to be around, , very pleasant and she seems to always know when to blend in, be social and when to retrieve (both for the energy in general and for each person to feel great and at ease), and she has a great sense of humor, we laughed so often so cheerfully together all of us 🙏😍🙏a lot of the time thanks to Britta 😍 Britta is really amazing with kids, so natural and loving, Momo absolutely loved her!!!! So did we all, also our 2 other workawayers at the time, they all 3 had a great bond and had so many laughs together 😍😍😍 It's very easy to be yourself around Britta Charlotte bc she's always so natural and easy to be around, so easygoing and kind, mild and loving, and she is very good at feeling good herself 😍 We really missed Britta when she had to go back home to work at a xmas faire, how lucky they were the ones having her working for them 😍 We can only give our warmest recommendations for having the honor of having Britta as a workawayer 😍🙏😍 And we really hope to have her coming back to visit us one day 🙏😍🙏 We actually hope she will stop by for some days with all of her family also one day, since we heard so many nice and great stories about her big family and how they love to come to Denmark for years and years 😍 Britta also helped with cleaning, tidying up, decorating the house for a big party, cooking and even a bit of garden work I think, she also dressed up in old fashioned clothes at the party as a maid and she spoke before all the children giving them instructions for party games and she helped with the pizza making at the party and helped gather all the reservations the children made for the pizzas, that was a big task bc it was very messy with all those orders 😁.... And she said that it didn't much feel like work what she had to do so I think that she often worked more hours on the dress than she was supposed to, but when we talked about not working too much she never felt that she did and I always trusted her word 😍 It's the 3rd time I write a review for Britta, which means it's a big mistake it comes this late, I'm so sorry for this, but I must have twice done something wrong in here, since 2 other reviews for Britta has gone missing in the void 😬😢 I was very surprised when I just saw that there was no review from me for you, Britta, again 😬 I'm so sorry, dear Britta, that you get your review so late, it's not personal at all!!!! If anyone deserves the best of the best review it's 100% you ❤️ We're often thinking about you, and often talking about you and even about your family... 😍 And we so hope to see you again as either a workawayer, as a couchsurfer and as our friend ❤️🙏❤️ And possibly with your family as well. Thank you for all your amazing help and even more thank you for just being the wonderful way you are❤️😍❤️ And thank you for the amazing dress and thanks again for all the Xmas cakes you and your mom sent us for Xmas 😍🙏😍

Vlad is a very social guy ! Always around the guests and down for organising day trips ! Still can do better about being autonomous at work and having the global vision of the daily tasks but he was helpful when we asked him something ! Anyway, he's super social and brings good vibes around him ! He's very nice and kind ! We'll be happy to see you again Vlad !

This place was exactly what I was looking for. A place to have a combination of work, community and nature. All of them were perfectly balanced and it inspired me to bring this back home. Colm's dedication to his way of living is inspiring and that includes giving chances and a sense of self-worth to people. To you Colm, Elisabetta and Luigi who is probably still there, know I have lovely music jam nights now back home and you are the source of my motivation to share this art. Thank you !

Eleftheria first contacted us in August 2025 and kept her word perfectly by coming as planned in early January 2026, after a quick reconfirmation a few days before. That reliability was already a very good sign. We had initially agreed on one week of cooking, but as it often happens on the land, plans evolved. During her first week, Eleftheria accepted without hesitation to help with some urgent DIY tasks that needed attention. It was a great support at that moment. She then extended her stay for a second week and took full responsibility for what became real “community cooking.” And she truly became the general of the kitchen. Cooking for up to seven people is no small task, but she handled it with organization, calm, and a lot of creativity. The different pancake recipes every morning quickly became a highlight of the day. She also started a very thoughtful notebook with recipes and cost breakdowns — a very meaningful contribution for the future. Beyond the kitchen, Eleftheria showed excellent communication skills, was proactive, easy to coordinate with, and very fun to have around. She understood quickly what was needed and brought a positive and supportive energy to both the house and the land. Her contribution was real and appreciated. It will be a pleasure to welcome her again one day and show her how the project continues to grow. All the very best for what comes next! P.S. "Very Niiiiiice" indeed ;-)

I spent more than two weeks with Rachel and Aaron and truly had a wonderful time there! I had my own cosy accommodation where I could retreat and have some privacy, while still always feeling welcome in the house — and I was lovingly cooked for every evening. The views and the surrounding area are absolutely stunning! Surrounded by the typical green hills, with views of Mount Taranaki and the ocean in the distance. I loved the place and would highly recommend it to anyone. The Taranaki region has so many beautiful spots to explore, whether you enjoy hiking or spending the day at the beach. Aaron was always happy to recommend some great walks! Aaron and Rachel are very relaxed hosts, which allowed me to organise my days freely. I mainly helped with painting the house (which I actually really enjoyed), as well as general gardening and farm tasks. Thank you so much!!
