It was a great pleasure to host Sophie. She is calm, focussed, friendly , positive and gets the job done! She fit in perfectly and the whole family loved her. She helped us get ready for our first chicken to move in, planted raspberries and did her best to teach our puppy some manners (among many other things). Sophie, ate um dia!

She was one of the volunteers with the best personality to have ever stayed here. Her professionalism was evident in every yoga session she led, as well as in the consistently excellent feedback from our guests. She was very flexible and supportive during periods of high demand for yoga classes, especially on holidays such as Christmas and New Year. She is friendly, charismatic, and highly communicative, with a natural ability to connect with guests. She genuinely enjoys sharing her travel experiences and offering recommendations, which greatly enriched the guest experience. Although she did not go trekking very often, she was always willing to join and participate in all other activities whenever possible. She also showed a deep appreciation for local food—especially morocho and empanadas—and, above all, for the local culture, traditional clothing, and language. She was a wonderful addition to our community and team.

Her stay was short but extremely productive. She was very professional in the way she taught her yoga classes. Guests consistently thanked us after each session for having such a friendly volunteer, with excellent methods for organizing and guiding both morning and afternoon classes. She stood out for her charisma and positive energy, and she was always happy to help us create photos and videos for our social media. There wasn’t a single day when she didn’t head out to explore the trails and mountains around Isinliví, fully embracing the adventure and nature that surround us. Beyond this, she was also very supportive and collaborative with our kitchen and reception staff, integrating seamlessly into the team. She was truly a valuable part of the lodge, and we hope she returns soon—next time for a longer stay 😊

Ella & Alina stayed with me for less than 2 weeks, but it already feels like they were here a lot longer. They were so helpful and figured out very quickly how to do various tasks. The floor became beautiful - I'm really thankful and my mother is super happy :) We also had a lot of interesting conversations, they have a really positive energy and are great to be around. I hope we meet again, and you are welcome back any time to be beaten in Catan once more ;)

Esperamos volver.

Eulalie, was great she helped us clean the all house we were going. To move into and she actually enjoyed it! We were all so sick when she arrived and she just helped us as we were not really helpfully ourselves. She was great with the kids, we had great conversations. Thank you again for all.

Jane and Lars are a charming, hard-working and responsible couple who love the countryside and nature. We wish they had stayed longer. They can be left completely alone as they handle gardening and DIY tasks very well. We recommend them 100%.

Many thanks to Ina and Julian who not only stayed one week as agreed, but two weeks here with us! We wanted help to complete the fountain we had started here in our garden and Julian collaborated excellently with Per while the reggae music accompanied the work which went like a breeze! After two weeks, the fountain is almost completely finished and we can't wait to hear the sound of trickling water in St. Peter's Square! Ina was given the task of cleaning an entire area in the garden, which she carried out with great care and precision! together we made homemade cantucchi, pasta and ravioli. Both were easy to work with and we found a nice balance between time alone and time together. We look forward to seeing you both in the spring!

Laura and Mateo stayed with us two years ago. We were really happy when we heard they were coming back! Last year they stayed for a longer period, they have become part of of family. Laura is an intelligent woman, with lots of skills and interests. She took charge of the garden, she researched and worked hard and grew the most beautiful carrots we've ever grown! But not only carrots, of course. She got involved with bee keeping, natural medicine, ancestral practices to harvest agave drink and syrup, and many many other things. We are missing her cooking and baking! Mateo is a skillful man, he can repair mostly anything! He's cooking is great and his chill energy, always willing to help others. They are both super proactive, hardworking and sociable! We miss them a lot!

Marilou and Louise were our first workawayers. We didn't know what to expect, and we have to say it went great! They're both easy to get along with, they've adapted very well to our lifestyle, and they learn everything quickly. It was fun spending time with them, both during the daily chores and in their free time. We had a great time and hope to see them again someday

Here, we don't work on a “nice” project. We help people in a real way !! Every action has a concrete impact on people's mobility and daily lives. It's extremely motivating and rare to experience. I contributed to business development and partnerships within a committed and lovely team! You feel really useful! A powerful, human, and very enriching experience. I recommend it 100%, plus the neighborhood is super nice! Thank you for the experience.

We spent about two weeks with Emma, Joe, Maia and Jada and had a wonderful experience- we are going to miss them all and feel so grateful to have connected with such an amazing family. This was our first Workaway so we didn’t quite know what to expect. We felt so comfortable and welcome from the moment we arrived and had a lovely bedroom with a porch that we got to settle into. Joe and Maia are both great kids. We bonded with them quickly over beach visits and playing cards. Emma is an incredible mother and person who we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with, swapping stories and sharing space. Our first week was spent dog sitting while the family was away and we fell in love with Jada their golden retriever.… It was hard to leave to leave them all at the end of our stay and we are really looking forward to connecting again in the future. All the love to you guys xx Rosie and Ethan

Franklin's finca experience is one of a kind. It offers a chance to really immerse yourself into farmer's more rugged life and help you develop some calluses along the way that feel earned. Food offered is simple, yet fresh and delicious. The work varies day by day, but once work is done, the day is yours to either join Franklin on his random trips into town, tinker in a workshop, read, or just explore. Franklin is organized, communicates plans well, and is honest about what is needed and or expected. His profile listing is a good example of this; his description should give the right expectations to people beforehand, but of course ask questions. Valuable lessons were learned in my time, and a world I hadn't seen before was fleshed out in a way that can only make me grateful to choose this uncertain adventure at the finca. Ultimately, the experience is what you make it, first understand what you are getting yourself into at the finca and then ask yourself why you want to do it. If those two things align, just show up with a positive attitude and it'll be a great experience.

Momoka stayed with us for three weeks. In the mornings, she was responsible for taking our seven-year-old daughter to school. She made lots of origami with our two youngest children (aged seven and twelve): they now have quite a collection decorated with Pokémon! She also helped with some DIY (painting, building an outdoor wooden shelter) under my husband's supervision. We shared our cultures through discussions in English or over dinner and films. In particular, we had a sushi evening which was greatly appreciated by everyone. Momoka was able to discover specialities such as "bouillabaisse", "cassoulet" and the tradition of the "galette des rois". Thank you, Momoka, for this cultural exchange and for your help !

I only planned on staying here for a month, but I ended up enjoying my time there so much I stayed until their olive harvest and even a couple weeks after. The work was straight forward and the community was amazing. Easily my favorite part of my experience was all the amazing people I met here. Allison and Zack do a great job at keeping a friendly and communicative environment in the house. I found myself feeling like a part of a family there. I definitely plan on returning again some time in the future.

Yassin was an incredibly kind and gracious host. I immediately felt welcomed. He hosted me inside his language center in an apartment with everything I needed. I led lessons twice a week with students 11-15 who were enthusiastic and eager to learn. I was able to explore the surrounding area and immerse myself in the local culture. Yassin was always responsive and very easy to work with. Getting to experience such an amazing place while also being able to contribute to the community was a truly unforgettable experience. I would recommend this to anyone instrested in teaching and ready for an adventure.
