🗓️ Volunteering Duration: From 2 weeks to 2 years. Arrivals are on the 1st or 15th of each month so we can start this adventure together.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You can learn about Permaculture in many aspects: Organic farming in an arid area, super adobe building, often working alongside a local builder, renewable energy projects, water management. You can also experience events and open days to get to know the local community, exchange activities with students from schools in Quito, or take part in one of the courses or ceremonies we host. Plus you will meet people from all over the world who come to volunteer with us.

We have a variety of different types of accommodation that allows us to host up to 25 volunteers at a time, including 3 x adobe earth bag houses, 4 x tipis, 4 x trucks, 1 x yurt and the option of camping. You can charge your electronics in the main building, however we are without wifi and prefer social interaction over technological consumption.

ENGLISH
The nearest town to our farm is Malchinguí, a 10 minute/$2.75 camioneta (white pick-up truck) ride away. There you will find a few small shops and internet café. Guayllabamba is a 30 minute/50¢ bus-ride further and has some restaurants and a cash machine. The same bus will also take you to Ofelia, the (northern) bus terminal in Quito (1.5 hours/$1.50). The last bus leaves Malchinguí at 5pm and the last bus from Quito leaves at 7pm. Buses run between 30mins and 1.5 hours apart.
During your stay you will also enjoy two free days per week to go out and enjoy the nearby attractions, or just relax, read and take in the view! Within two hours of our farm you can reach Otavalo and its famous indigenous market, dry-forest camping in Parque Jerusalem, the ancient Cochasqui pyramids, stunning Mojanda and Cuicocha lakes and the Peguche waterfall.

La ciudad más cercana a nuestra finca es Malchinguí, a 10 minutos/$2,75 camioneta de distancia. Allí encontrarás algunas pequeñas tiendas y un cibercafé. Guayllabamba está a 30 minutos/50 autobús-viaja más lejos y tiene algunos restaurantes y una máquina del efectivo. El mismo autobús también le llevará a Ofelia, la terminal de autobuses (norte) en Quito (1,5 horas/$1.50). El último autobús sale de Malchinguí a las 5 pm y el último autobús de Quito sale a las 7 PM. los autobuses corren entre 30 y 1,5 horas de diferencia.
¡Durante su estancia también disfrutarás de dos días libres por semana para salir y disfrutar de las atracciones cercanas, o simplemente relajarse, leer y disfrutar de la vista! Dentro de dos horas de nuestra granja se puede llegar a Otavalo y su famoso mercado indígena, el camping de bosque seco en el parque de Jerusalén, las antiguas pirámides de Cochasqui, impresionantes Mojanda y lagos Cuicocha y la cascada Peguche.A little more information
