This is my first workaway experience and an absolutely wonderful one! :) They are a lovely and welcoming family. I am so blessed to be treated as a family member. Thomas and Deborah even invited me to their family wedding and their children's school party. I really enjoyed my time playing with the kids. As the only child, I have dreamed about
… read more having younger brothers and sisters and they are exactly someone I would like to spend time with. Laura can be both an energetic little girl and a quiet reader. I really missed the time we played chess and badminton together! Arthur likes drawing and singing. He learned the rhythm of 'We Will Rock You' so quickly. Andrea is such a cute and gorgeous little baby, and she is also a great hugger!
All in all, I felt so lucky to meet the family, and the experience definitely makes my trip in France memorable and precious! I would recommend to anyone who has the chance to join the family. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I had such a great time with this lovely family!
From the first moment I felt comfortable and welcomed. Deborah showed me around and explained everything to me and was trying to make sure not to give me too many tasks and asked me to tell her if I am feeling overstrained. But it was really not too much!!! On the contrary, I only had to prepare the
… read more kids in the morning and needed to pick them up from school and take care of them until the parents got back home. The rest of the time I could do my thing, either go to the centre of Toulouse, work in the big garden or just enjoy the family life which was the greatest pleasure for me. Deborah is a warm-hearted easy-going person you can always have good talks with, both of the kids are wonderful playmates in their own way and the baby is just gorgeous - no one can say something different.
Speaking English with Deborah and Thomas made things easier for me and by communicating in French with the kids I could definitely feel myself improving the language "peu à peu".
All in all, it was a fantastic experience and I can only recommend it to anyone here! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

We felt immediatly comfortable with Merle ! Two days after her arrival, she was in charge of children : she prepared and let them at school in the morning and picked them up on the evening. She played and read to them until we came back to home, about 2h later.
She also helped in the garden during the day.
She shared our family daily life. It was

After 2 weeks, children were really sad when she left.

I originally planned to stay with Deborah and her family for two weeks but after meeting her fantastic family I ended up staying longer! I was immediately comfortable with her wonderful children. Her husband and herself were so kind and gave me a truly amazing cultural experience! Whether they were showing me around Toulouse, taking me with family
… read more activities to see the Tour de France or celebrate the World Cup, or meeting their friends and family I was always welcomed. Most days I played with her children and helped around the house and I felt like I was part of the family. As my first workaway experience I couldn't have asked for anything better! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

It was our first experience with workaway and Stephanie was exactly the person we were looking for! She was really helpful and it was so natural. She was discreet and proactive when necessary, proposing activities to my older children. She cooked, played and make artistic projects with them. She participates to housework as a member of the

We were so much confident that she came to cinema with them or to museum by bus with my daughter.
Only one regret : it was too short !Photos
