Getting to know this place was a miracle. We get a part of an amazing community, where we cooked together, talked, played, worked, had fun, shared wonderful but also hart moments, and always found a heart and ear to be lissened. This time we spent there will never get forgotten. I would recommend it to anyone. We have stayed there around 6 weeks, an experience that changes life forever.

Was so happy here, I might even want to come back. Daniel is an amazing cook, musician and is remodeling an old building into a music venue. If you love music, this the place to be. I've been here 12 days, there have been 6 events / practices / jammin' since I got here. We're right off the ocean, there are cute shops within walking distance. Oh, and did I mention Daniel is a fanstastic cook? There's a woman here right now with food limitations, he took it in stride, I never even noticed. She ate what we ate, because he included her needs right into the menu. Plenty of places to crash, would be a great option for traveling with a friend or sibling. Kids too, if he allows them. This would also be a great place if you aren't driving, everything is in walking distance, and Daniel is always busy and happy to take you with him. Go there, help build a music hall, and just breathe, the vibe is great.

My experience at Giuseppe's home near was simply wonderful. From the very first moment I felt welcomed and part of the environment. Peppe is a calm and thoughtful person, living a balanced lifestyle that inspires you to slow down and truly enjoy the present moment. One of the most special parts of my stay was connecting with his four dogs and two cats, who fill the home with life and affection, it is normal to go with them for a walk after lunch/dinner. Giuseppe has a genuine openess to cultural exchange. He does not impose his own way of thinking or lifestyle, instead, he shows real interest in yours. This creates an enriching and authentic experience where both sides learn and grow. The conversations, shared moments, and everyday life become something meaningful. Each morning, hearing a nice "Buongiorno", accompanied by the choir of birds became one of my favorite rituals. It was a simple yet powerful reminder to appreciate life’s beauty. I learned to value life a little more and to let go of the stress of a fast routine. I highly recommend this experience to any volunteer looking for respectful coexistence, mutual learning, and a genuine connection with local culture. Thank you friend for your generosity and for opening your home and experience to others. :)

Tom was the most helpful person. he was excellent in kitchen anticipating the many tasks and cleaning up as I was feeling by then very tired. He weeded well and learnt to identify weed plants.. I recommend Tom whose English is faultless . From Belgium he had a comfortable adaptable helpful travelers outlook.

Fantastic experience! These two weeks in Bogotá couldn't be so great without the helping hand of Samuel and the professional attendance of Nancy. Work isn't hard and we've had so much fun in the old and tinted roads of La Candelaria, Bogotá historic center. Highly recommended if you want to stay in the capital for some time! Belissende was a wonderful workaway. She communicated well, completed all of her tasks well and even baked for us. She was good at working inside and outside of our home. She was good with our young children, cleaning and organizing. We enjoyed sharing our languages and showing her around the rockies. I would happily recommend her to other hosts.

Greg, Danna, Robin, and Sam are a stellar family. We had a true soul connection and hope to host them in Bolivia some day. We helped with farm chores (like raking/collecting hay and weeding, etc.), helped with some cooking, driving, and making kimchi etc, and did an overall permaculture plan for the land (initial phase, ideas). Clea and Rio spent hours in tribe with the kids. They really went out of their way to even share their Airbnb with us while we were getting the caravans ready and hosting a brai for Bill's bday party. Oh, and they invited the kids to go to their school one day. Luna and Tobi are such fun dogs. Was hard to leave lovely Vrede. Thank you!

Wilna and Wouter are amazing people. Our family of four spent a fantastic week with them, doing gardening (weeding, pruning, some transplanting), a bit of painting, and playing endlessly with the six dogs (Daisy and Gunner were the kids favorites). Such kind folks and such a stunning property and with so much wildlife. They care for nature and their land and are so interesting to talk with, including Wouter's interview with Clea about current South Africa issues for her homeschooling. Would love to reconnect with them sometime.

Sandra & Vincent came with their Yurt and we spent together an intense community time. They are full of joy, always willing to help, precious. If you get a chance to host them don't hesitate!!

Margaux arrived in a moment that was not easy for us but she managed to adapt and her smile and good vibe despite the situation really helped. She is the kindest and always ready to help! If you have the chance to host her don't hesitate!!

I had a really good time in the hostel. It ‘s very clean, beautiful, with mountains and river view, a functional Gym, that’s really amazing, it’s only 10 mins walk to the town. The owner Miguel is nice, laid back, and easy to communicate. I did reception job, check in and check out, 4 hours and 15 mins per day, the shifts can be different every day , 8am-12:15pm, 12:15 pm-16:30, 16:30-20:45 pm. You have plenty of time to do your own thing. If you wanna take a rest in Pisac, it’s a good place. Thank you Miguel for giving me this opportunity to staying here. All the best!

Loic is a great person to have around, showed a deep capacity to adapt to the group and bring in his own energy, always willing to help with a smile. If you get the chance to host him, don't hesitate one second ! Miss you Loic!

Molto coraggiosa ad affrontare il freddo della mia casa e le scomodità, molto facile comunicare con lei, molta serietà nell' eseguire i compiti richiesti con i miei animali. Molto amore per loro. I had a beautiful experience here. Everyday there is ample time to watch the sun rise over the lake, go swimming, climb trees, lounge in the hammocks, listen to the birds, read, meditate, play with the dogs, hang out with the other volunteers, cook delicious meals, build a campfire, or whatever it is that you like to do. It was delightful to be able to eat the fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs that grow here on the property and to enjoy the abundant fresh air and sunshine. Eliseo was so much fun to hang out with. It is truly a very healthy, stress free place to be.

Tove fue una parte increíble de nuestro proyecto. Estuvo con nosotros aproximadamente dos meses, en dos periodos diferentes, y en ambas ocasiones fue de excelente ayuda. Siempre trabajó con una sonrisa, una energía contagiosa y una actitud súper positiva. Fue responsable, comprometida y muy buena con los huéspedes, quienes conectaron fácilmente con ella. Además, se integró perfectamente al equipo y aportó muy buen ambiente al lugar. La recomendamos muchísimo a cualquier anfitrión. Laura stayed with us at the Farm Sanctuary for 7 weeks. She is an incredibly dedicated and hardworking person. Farm sanctuary work is not glamorous.... it’s muddy, physical, repetitive, and often unpredictable, and Laura never once shied away from the hard or dirty jobs. From heavy hay days to deep cleaning shelters to hands-on animal care, she showed up consistently with care, responsibility, and quiet determination. What stood out most was her balance of teamwork and independence. She worked beautifully alongside others, always supportive and collaborative, but was equally confident managing tasks on her own. Once she learned something, she took ownership of it. That level of reliability is such a gift in a busy sanctuary environment. Beyond the work, Laura filled our home with laughter and warmth. She is respectful, clean, considerate, and genuinely easy to live with. Sharing your home with someone for nearly two months is no small thing , and she made it feel natural and joyful. The animals were well cared for because of her, and our home was better for having her in it. Any host would be lucky to welcome her. We already miss her and would have her back in a heartbeat!!

Dhala and Oussi are one of the most generous couples we've ever met. They welcomed us like family and were always very helpful. We helped them set up the main house and other Airbnb features. Oussi is a beekeeper, and we were happy to help him with this. They have two beautiful little girls, and we loved playing with them. Really a great experience.

Best first workaway I Could have imagined. Always had the feeling that I am part of the group and not just visiting. In 4 weeks I met so many amazing people, improved my spanish so much and just had some of the most amazing weeks in my life so far. I will be coming back for sure and I hope more Volunteers end up here in the future because it is not only something you benfit from as a volunteer, it is also a work with real purpose which makes a big difference. to get in touch with colombian people and their culture i guess there is no better place

I spent one and a half months with this wonderful family during the winter months, surrounded by snow and very cold weather. Despite the challenging conditions, their warmth made everything feel easy and comfortable. I felt welcomed from the very first day. The house is located right in front of a beautiful Norwegian fjord, surrounded by nature and breathtaking landscapes. It is the perfect place for someone looking for peace, quiet, and a deep connection with nature. The view every day was truly special. The children are incredibly sweet, and it was a real pleasure to spend time with them. Communication was easy since we are both Italian, but I also had the opportunity to practice my English by speaking with their friends and during my independent visits to nearby cities. The tasks were varied: gardening work like trimming the hedge, taking care of the chickens (which was one of my regular responsibilities), general cleaning, and of course shoveling snow when needed. I also helped inside the house — keeping things organized, cooking sometimes, and taking care of the children when necessary. In those moments, we often worked as a team with their grandmother, which made the experience even more special. They were always very flexible with my days off, allowing me to explore nearby cities. They also included me in their family activities whenever I wanted — walks, small trips, and shared moments together. The house is a bit far from the bus stop, but Noemi was always kind and available to drive me when needed. This was my first Workaway experience, and I truly couldn’t have asked for better. Leaving was not easy. I will miss you very much 💖

Jack stayed for almost two months at our hostel as a volunteer. He is a very active and motivated person, always willing to help. Every day he cooked delicious food and shared it with the people at the hostel. He also went to the beach to surf. He is a cheerful and very communicative person who made many friends at this place. We hope he returns someday.
